बाद में, प्रधानमंत्री मोदी आज कोलकाता में लगभग 18 हजार 680 करोड़ रुपये की कई विकास परियोजनाओं का लाकार्पण और शिलान्यास करेंगे। इन परियोजनाओं में पश्चिम बंगाल और झारखंड में राष्‍ट्रीय राजमार्ग-19 और पश्चिम बंगाल में राष्‍ट्रीय राजमार्ग-114 के खंड शामिल हैं। इन परियोजनाओं से सड़क सुरक्षा में सुधार, यात्रा समय में कमी, क्षेत्रीय संपर्क में सुधार, पर्यटन को बढ़ावा और आर्थिक विकास को गति मिलने की संभावना है। श्री मोदी का कोलकाता में भाजपा की एक रैली को भी संबोधित करने का भी कार्यक्रम है।

India has highlighted to Iran the importance of unhindered transit of energy and goods amid the current situation in West Asia. During the Inter-Ministerial briefing on recent developments in West Asia, External Affairs Ministry spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal said Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke to Iranian President Dr. Masoud Pezeshkian on Thursday and stressed on New Delhi’s priority regarding the safety and well-being of Indian nationals in the region, including in Iran. The spokesperson also reiterated India’s consistent position that all issues must be resolved through dialogue and diplomacy.

Special Secretary, Ministry of Ports Shipping and Waterways, Rajesh Kumar Sinha said there are 24 Indian flagged vessels to the west of Strait of Hormuz. He said there are three Indian flagged vessels to the east of Strait of Hormuz.

Overall port operations across India remain stable. A Standard Operating Procedure has been issued for all Major Ports and State Maritime Boards to proactively facilitate shipping lines and exporters through stakeholder coordination and time-bound grievance redressal. A nodal officer as a Single Point of Contact has been appointed by all Major Ports. Government remains fully committed to ensuring the safety and welfare of Indian seafarers and protecting India’s maritime interests.

Joint Secretary, Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, Sujata Sharma said India is self sufficient in the production of petrol and diesel. She said all refineries are working at 100 percent capacity and refineries have adequate inventory of crude.

President Droupadi Murmu has emphasised that the empowerment of Divyangjan is crucial for building an inclusive society. She said, however, this cannot be achieved solely through the efforts of the government as it requires the active participation of every individual and institution in the society. The President stated this while addressing the Purple Fest held at Rashtrapati Bhavan yesterday. President Droupadi Murmu also highlighted various government schemes like Pradhanmantri Divyasha Kendra and Sugamya Bharat Abhiyan for providing benefits to the Divyangjans. She added that these schemes are providing opportunities to the Divyangjans in becoming independent.

Our correspondent reports that the Purple Fest was organised by the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment to celebrate the talent, achievements and aspirations of Divyangjan.

“The festival witnessed participation of over 8,000 Divyangjan serving as a symbol of empowerment and showcasing the talent and potential of persons with disabilities. The event was organised with an aim to raise awareness about different disabilities and their impact on people’s lives and to promote understanding, acceptance, and inclusion of persons with disabilities within society. During the event, Amrit Udyan was opened exclusively for Divyangjan. The day-long fest unfolded in vibrant shades, featuring a rich spectrum of literary discussions, sports activities, and corporate collaborations, all aimed at fostering an inclusive society. It celebrated inclusivity, empowerment and talent, bringing together diverse voices, thought leaders, and corporate partners to shape a more accessible future for Divyangjan. Tribal Affairs Minister Jual Oram has said that India’s tribal communities possess an extraordinary wealth of art, culture, heritage and traditional knowledge systems. He said this while speaking at the valedictory ceremony of Tribes Art Fest 2026 in New Delhi yesterrday. Mr Oram said these traditions reflect a deep connection with nature, community, and wisdom passed down through generations.

On the occasion, Union Minister of Culture Gajendra Singh Shekhawat highlighted that tribal art reflects traditional ecological knowledge, spiritual imagination, and the social stories of communities through diverse artistic forms. He said that initiatives such as national art festivals play an important role in connecting artists’ creativity with sustainable livelihood opportunities.

राष्ट्रीय राजधानी दिल्ली में एलपीजी, पेट्रोल, डीजल और पीएनजी की आपूर्ति पूरी तरह सामान्य है। दिल्ली सरकार ने स्पष्ट किया है कि शहर में किसी भी प्रकार के ईंधन की कोई कमी नहीं है। सरकार ने लोगों से घबराहट में अतिरिक्त खरीदारी या जमाखोरी नहीं करने और किसी भी अफवाह पर ध्यान ना देने की अपील की है। सरकार ने कहा है कि ईंधन की कालाबाजारी करने वालों के खिलाफ सख्त कार्रवाई की जाएगी।

इंद्रप्रस्थ गैस लिमिटेड ने भी पुष्टि की है कि घरेलू पीएनजी की आपूर्ति स्थिर है। प्राकृतिक गैस के आवंटन में घरेलू पीएनजी और परिवहन क्षेत्र के सीएनजी उपभोक्ताओं को प्राथमिकता दी जा रही है। सरकार ने जानकारी दी है कि एलपीजी रिफिल बुकिंग के लिए न्यूनतम अंतराल को 21 दिनों से बढ़ाकर अब 25 दिन कर दिया गया है।

The mass rapid transit system extension between Velachery and St.Thomas Mount will be launched today. The Chennai Metro Rail Limited to remove shuttering at an obligatory span as observed by the Chief Commissioner of Railway Safety. All 43 pairs of trains operated upto Velachery from Chennai Beach will be extended up to St.Thomas Mount establishing the much needed connectivity with the Tambaram -Chennai Beach suburban train stretch and the metro train station at St. Thomas Mount.

CSIR-Indian Institute of Chemical Technology (CSIR-IICT), Hyderabad, organized an Industry Interaction Meet with Laghu Udyog Bharati yesterday at the CSIR-IICT auditorium, to strengthen collaboration between scientific research institutions and the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) sector. The meeting was organized by the Business Development & Research Management (BDRM) Division of CSIR-IICT to facilitate stronger linkages between the institute and industry. The programme brought together around 75 entrepreneurs from the MSME sector, representing diverse industries such as chemicals, Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (APIs), polymers, food processing, energy, and environmental technologies.

सर्वोच्च न्यायालय के निर्देशानुसार, पश्चिम बंगाल में विशेष गहन पुनरीक्षण के अंतर्गत पहली पूरक मतदाता सूची अगले सप्ताह प्रकाशित हो सकती है। निर्वाचन आयोग के सूत्रों के अनुसार प्रारंभिक सूची में 6 लाख से अधिक नामों की समीक्षा की गई थी। हालांकि, लगभग 15 लाख नामों का निपटारा हो चुका है।

इस बीच, लगभग 35 लाख मतदाताओं के दस्तावेजों का सत्यापन तेजी से किया जा रहा है। अधिकारियों के मुताबिक इन मामलों का निपटारा भी शीघ्र ही पूर्ण हो जाएगा।

A comprehensive cleanliness drive was carried out at NTI Layout in Vidyaranyapura under the Greater Bangalore Authority (North) as part of the Swachh Survekshan initiative. The drive, aligned with the Swachh Bharat Mission, involved the NTI Layout Residents Welfare Association, GBA officials, pourakarmikas, and local residents. Solid waste management teams cleaned streets, footpaths, drains, and open spaces, removing accumulated garbage, plastic waste, silt, and dry leaves. A walkathon led by nominated corporator Lakshmi Hari and association president N. Shankar Rao was also organised to spread awareness on cleanliness and waste segregation.
