प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी छत्तीसगढ़ में अखिल भारतीय पुलिस महानिदेशकों और महानिरीक्षकों के सम्मेलन में आज विभिन्न सत्रों की अध्यक्षता करेंगे। तीन दिन का यह सम्मेलन कल नवा रायपुर के भारतीय प्रबंधन संस्थान में शुरू हुआ। प्रधानमंत्री सम्मेलन के दौरान विशिष्ट सेवा के लिए राष्ट्रपति पुलिस पदक भी प्रदान करेंगे। इस वर्ष का विषय है- विकसित भारत: सुरक्षा आयाम।
इससे पहले गृहमंत्री अमित शाह ने कल इस सम्मेलन का उद्घाटन किया। गृहमंत्री ने कहा कि प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी के नेतृत्व में यह सम्मेलन देश की आंतरिक सुरक्षा चुनौतियों का समाधान करने के लिए एक महत्वपूर्ण मंच है।
नक्सलवाद के बारे में श्री शाह ने कहा कि पिछले सात वर्ष में, केंद्र सरकार ने 586 पुलिस स्टेशन बनाकर सुरक्षा तंत्र को मजबूत किया है। उन्होंने कहा कि इससे नक्सल प्रभावित जिलों की संख्या 2014 में 126 से घटकर आज सिर्फ 11 रह गई है। श्री शाह ने कहा कि अगले सम्मेलन से पहले देश नक्सलवाद के खतरे से पूरी तरह मुक्त हो जाएगा।
श्री शाह ने कहा कि मोदी सरकार ने देश की नासूर जैसी तीन प्रमुख चुनौतियों नक्सलवाद, पूर्वोत्तर में उग्रवाद और जम्मू-कश्मीर में आतंकवाद का स्थायी समाधान दिया है।

Election Commission (EC) has issued a point by point rebuttal to all apprehensions and termed the allegations made by the TMC Delegation as baseless. A 10-member delegation led by Rajya Sabha MP Derek O’Brien met the Election Commission in New Delhi yesterday over the the issue of ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls in West Bengal.
The Commission asked the delegation to submit claims and objections after 9th of December when the draft list is shared with them. The Commission said, till then, the party should not interfere with the independent functioning of Booth Level Officers, Election Registration Officers and Destrict Election Officers who are State Government employees on deputation to Election related works.
The Commission also wrote a letter to Director General Police of West Bengal and Kolkata Police Commissioner to ensure that the BLOs are not pressurised and threatened by the political party workers. The Poll Body has also directed all DEOs to ensure new polling stations in slums, high rise buildings and gated residential colonies as is being done across India based on its instructions.
Based on recent incidents relating to breach of security at the office of Chief Electoral Officer of West Bengal, the Election Commission has directed the office to be shifted to an appropriate security location. EC has also directed Kolkata Police Commissioner to ensure complete security of the existing as well as the new office of CEO. EC also told the TMC delegation to not influence or threaten the BLOs regarding dead, shifted and duplicate voters. The Poll Body also reminded the TMC delegation that only Indian citizens are entitled to vote and as per Article 326 of the Constitution, foreigners cannot be allowed to vote.

इस बीच तूफान दित्वा से चेन्नई और श्रीलंका के बीच उड़ानों पर भी असर पड़ा है। उड़ानों में देरी के कारण उनका मार्ग बदला गया है या उड़ानें रद्द कर दी गयीं हैं। यात्रियों को सलाह दी गई है कि वे अधिक जानकारी के लिए संबंधित एयर लाइंस से संपर्क करे।

India has been re-elected to the Council of the International Maritime Organisation-IMO for 2026-27 with highest vote tally. The Council elections were held during the 34th session of IMO Assembly at London. India secured the highest number of votes in the category comprising ten countries with the largest interest in international seaborne trade. It received 154 out of 169 valid votes cast during the election.
Union Minister of Ports, Shipping and Waterways Sarbananda Sonowal expressed his delight on the achievement saying that it is a proud moment for India’s maritime sector.
The Ministry in a statement asserted that India’s highest vote tally reflects the international community’s strong confidence in India’s constructive leadership in global shipping. The result further validates the Government of India’s sustained reforms and forward-looking initiatives to strengthen the maritime sector.
The IMO Council consists of 40 elected members across three categories and functions as the executive body of the IMO between sessions of the Assembly. The Ministry added that this is the second consecutive biennium in which India has secured the highest tally in Category B, reaffirming the nation’s commitment to the Amrit Kaal Maritime Vision 2047.

The star-studded closing ceremony of 56th International Film Festival of India (IFFI) on Friday ended on a high note with superstar Rajinikanth being honoured with the lifetime achievement award for his 50 years in cinema. Superstar Rajinikanth was honoured by Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant with a shawl and memento at the closing ceremony of IFFI.

“Curtains descended on IFFI 2025, with a glittering closing ceremony last night. Chief Minister Pramod Sawant paid tributes to the He-Man of Indian Cinema, Dharmendra. The stage shone like a galaxy of colourful stars quite literally when Rajnikanth was felicitated for his contribution to Indian Cinema through fifty years. Another big surprise for everyone was Ranveer Singh’s captivating and energetic presence on the stage. The Golden Peacock for the Best Feature Film at IFFI 2025 was bagged by Ashleigh Mayfair’s ‘Skin of Youth’. The Vietnamese drama follows the precarious lives of San and Nam, and their struggle for love and identity in 1990s Saigon. The Silver Peacock for best director of a feature film was awarded to Santosh Davakhar for Gondhal. Akinola Davies Junior won the Special Jury Award for his movie – My Father’s Shadow. Ubeimar Rios bagged the award for best actor male while Jara Sofija Ostan won the best actor female for Little Trouble girls. The University of Madras will pay 95 crore rupees to the retired staff from its corpus fund. This decision will further weaken the University’s financial situation as it is paying the monthly pension from the interest of the corpus fund. The corpus fund is created for the pensioners and a portion of it willl be accessed to disburse the pension benefits to more than 450 pensioners, family pensioners who retired between 2015 and 2025.

Bureau of Indian Standards organised a Jeweller Awareness Programme on Hallmarking in Kancheepuram yesterday. The programme aimed to enhance awareness among jewellers on BIS Hallmarking standards, regulatory requirements and the digital services offered by BIS for seamless compliance. The programme witnessed participation from jewellers, representatives of local jewellers’ associations from Kancheepuram district. S. D. Dayanand, Director & Head of BIS Chennai Branch Office, highlighted BIS’s continued efforts to ensure consumer protection through standardisation, certification and hallmarking, and emphasised the importance of jewellers adhering to quality and purity standards. He encouraged participants to actively use BIS Care App for consumer grievance redressal, licence verification and product authentication.

Chennai Metro’s phase II will feature its most striking bend which will be a 413 meter stretch over Kathipara that connects airport and guindy road. The upcoming alignment on Corridor 5 includes a tight 125 meter radius curve allowing trains to pass above major roads while maintaining balance and speed through an elevated path. Metro coaches will move from nearly 33 meters down to 27 meters as they approach Alandur keeping a steady 35 kilometers per hour. The curve is expected to be completed by February marking a major leap for phase II and adding a unique spectacle for passengers who will experience rare city views.

यात्रियों की सुविधा के लिए, मुंबई मेट्रो रेल कॉर्पोरेशन ने 28 नवंबर, 2025 से मेट्रो-3 के मेट्रो कनेक्ट3 मोबाइल ऐप पर रियायती मासिक पास उपलब्ध करा दिए हैं। मेट्रो-3, मोबाइल ऐप के ज़रिए पास सुविधा देने वाली देश की पहली मेट्रो बन गई है। 60 ट्रिप वाले पास पर 15 प्रतिशत और 45 ट्रिप वाले पास पर 10 प्रतिशत की छूट है। ये पास यात्रा को और अधिक किफायती बनाने और टिकट खरीद प्रक्रिया को आसान, डिजिटल और संपर्क रहित बनाने के लिए डिज़ाइन किए गए हैं।

Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has said that ICDS is a visionary scheme to eliminate mother-child mortality and malnutrition. He was speaking at an event to celebrate the golden jubilee of the Comprehensive Child Development Scheme in Karnataka, Children’s Day, World Senior Citizens Day, an award ceremony, and the launch of ambitious schemes of the Department of Women and Child Development in Bengaluru yesterday. He noted that ICDS has benefited over 40 lakh women and children through 69,922 Anganwadi centres in the state.
The Chief Minister praised the Anganwadi workers and helpers, saying they serve with dedication and are like a second mother to the children in their care.
The Chief Minister said that if women do not become economically and socially self-reliant, it is difficult for society to progress. He further said that women must achieve 100% literacy, and they must also gain rational and scientific knowledge.
Mr Siddaramaiah informed that so far, the government has spent over Rs 1 lakh 4 thousand crore on the guarantee schemes.

दिल्ली नगर निगम के 12 वार्ड के कल होने वाले उप-चुनाव को देखते हुए, दिल्ली मेट्रो रेल सेवा सभी टर्मिनल स्टेशनों से सुबह 4 बजे शुरू होंगी।
दिल्ली मेट्रो रेल निगम ने बताया कि रेल सेवा सुबह 6 बजे तक 30 मिनट के अंतराल पर मिलेंगी। इसके बाद रविवार की समय-सारणी के हिसाब से नियमित सेवा मिलेंगी। सभी टर्मिनल स्टेशनों से आखिरी मेट्रो रात 11 बजे के बजाय रात साढ़े 11 बजे निकलेगी। तीन दिसंबर, बुधवार को मतगणना वाले दिन भी मेट्रो सेवा सुबह 4 बजे शुरू होंगी।

दिल्ली पुलिस की अपराध शाखा ने स्वापक नियंत्रण ब्यूरो के साथ संयुक्त अभियान में राष्ट्रीय राजधानी क्षेत्र में चल रहे एक प्रमुख अफ्रीकी ड्रग गिरोह का भंडाफोड़ कर छह मुख्य आरोपियों को गिरफ्तार किया। आरोपियों के पास से 12 करोड़ रुपये के चार सौ 60 किलोग्राम से अधिक मात्रा में अलग अलग प्रकार के मादक पदार्थ और पांच हजार दो सौ से अधिक नशीली गोलियां बरामद की गई है। मामले में 30 अवैध विदेशी नागरिकों को प्रत्यर्पण के लिए गिरफ्तार किया गया है। मामले में आगे की जांच जारी है।

भारत के प्रसिद्ध उद्योगपति जहाँगीर रतनजी दादाभाई टाटा की आज पुण्यतिथि है। आधुनिक भारत की बुनियाद रखने वाली औद्योगिक हस्तियों में जे. आर. डी. टाटा का नाम सर्वोपरि है। इन्होंने ही देश की पहली वाणिज्यिक विमान सेवा ‘टाटा एयरलाइंस’ शुरू की थी, जो आगे चलकर भारत की राष्ट्रीय विमान सेवा ‘एयर इंडिया’ बन गई। इस कारण जे. आर. डी. टाटा को भारत के नागरिक उड्डयन का पिता भी कहा जाता है।
जे. आर. डी. टाटा भारत के पहले लाइसेंस प्राप्त पायलट थे। जीवन के आरंभिक दिनों में वह एवियशन की दुनिया की अग्रणी शख़्सियत लुईस ब्लेरियात से बहुत प्रभावित थे। इसी वजह से उन्होंने इसे कैरियर के रूप में अपनाया। 10 फ़रवरी, 1929 को जे. आर. डी. टाटा को पायलट का लाइसेंस दिया गया था। यह पहला मौका था, जब भारत में किसी व्यक्ति को पायलट का लाइसेंस जारी किया गया।
