Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu today. During the programme, Mr. Modi will release the 21st instalment of PM-KISAN, amounting to more than 18 thousand crore rupees to support 9 crore farmers across the country. The road will be closed for traffic from 12 noon to 4 pm.Trucks have been banned from entering the city from 8 AM to 8 pm. Security has been beefed up at the Coimbatore international airport. Private vehicles and call taxis are restricted from entering the airport between 12 pm and 3 pm today. It is to be noted that the total India’s export is pegged at Rs. 2,43,042 Crore according to 2024 25 analysis released by the Government. Tamilnadu stands third in the Country in agricultural production with 9.18 percent according to the 2023 -2024 statistics. The State shares 1.95 percent in spices production, first in floriculture, second in livestock production with 13.96 percent share, 6.50 percent share in fruits production, 4.62 percent in Vegetable production and 25.40 percent in plantations production.This summit also has agri related experts to share their knowledge and experience in increasing production and exporting food production. Enforcement Directorate (ED) has arrested Jawad Ahmed Siddiqui, Chairman of the Al Falah group, under Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA), 2002. The arrest took place following a detailed investigation and analysis of evidences gathered during search action conducted at Al Falah group premises in the ongoing probe in an Enforcement Case Information Report. ED has conducted search operations at 19 locations in Delhi yesterday including the premises of Al Falah University and residential premises of key persons of Al Falah group. The investigation has revealed that large amounts of proceeds of crime have been generated.

Delhi Traffic Police has announced traffic arrangements and diversions in view of the event marking the 350th martyrdom day of Shri Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib Ji at Red Fort from today untill 25th of this month. An official said that a large public gathering and VVIP movement are expected during the week-long celebrations. He said, the traffic restrictions would be implemented on Netaji Subhash Marg and Nishad Raj Marg. During this period, buses and commercial vehicles coming from Delhi Gate and Chhata Rail Chowk might be diverted towards Ring Road. People are advised to avoid Ring Road from Rajghat to Chandgiram Akhara, Netaji Subhash Marg, Nishad Raj Marg, SPM Marg, Lothian Road, and Boulevard Road.

The Madras High Court has directed Tiruvannamalai district administration and the DGP to file their response by 24th of this month to a petition seeking a report on the security arrangements made for the upcoming Karthigai Deepam festival in Tiruvannamalai. Justice P.B. Balaji passed the order on a plea, saying that several devotees are expected to gather at the Arunachaleswarar temple for the festival scheduled for 3rd December. Therefore, adequate measures must be taken to prevent crowd related incidents and provide essential facilities.

Chennai Metrowater will soon install one lakh smart meters to help track water supply and usage in real time, send accurate billing to consumers’ phones and improve leak detection to help cut wastage and avoid unexpected charges. In the first phase, the meters will be installed for bulk consumers, and the readings will be sent to consumers monthly. About 5 crore has been allocated for the initiative. T.G. Vinay, Managing Director of Metro water said that the meters would be installed after preliminary checks. Metro water plans to increase the number of paying consumers with charges applicable for buildings of more than 500 sq. ft .

Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister D K Shivakumar has informed that a new Detailed Project Report (DPR) on Mekedatu balancing reservoir across river Cauvery river will be submitted for approval to the Central Government after the Supreme Court refused to stay the DPR on a petition by Tamil Nadu government. Speaking to media persons in Bengaluru, he said that a meeting with officials and Cauvery Neeravari Nigam Board of Directors in Bengaluru discussed the way forward after the apex court order. He further said that a new DPR will be submitted with the details of the forest area that will be submerged after the reservoir is built at Mekedatu.

महाराष्ट्र कैबिनेट पैनल ने बहु-लेन पुणे-शिरूर राजमार्ग परियोजना को मंजूरी दी महाराष्ट्र कैबिनेट की इंफ्रास्ट्रक्चर समिति ने कल पुणे और शिरूर के बीच एक मल्टी-लेन राजमार्ग के निर्माण के प्रस्ताव को मंजूरी दे दी। 53.4 किलोमीटर लंबी इस परियोजना में एक चार लेन की सड़क और एक छह लेन का एलिवेटेड एक्सप्रेसवे शामिल है। मुख्यमंत्री देवेंद्र फडणवीस की अध्यक्षता वाली समिति ने छत्रपति संभाजीनगर जिले में दो छह लेन के राजमार्गों को भी मंजूरी दी – शेंद्रा औद्योगिक एस्टेट से बिडकिन औद्योगिक एस्टेट तक 32.8 किलोमीटर का खंड और बिडकिन से धोरेगांव तक 26 किलोमीटर का खंड, जो छत्रपति संभाजीनगर-पुणे राजमार्ग को जोड़ता है। इसके अतिरिक्त, करमाड में छत्रपति संभाजीनगर-जालना डीएमआईसी नोड को बिडकिन के माध्यम से समृद्धि एक्सप्रेसवे से जोड़ने वाली एक नई ग्रीनफील्ड सड़क के लिए भी सैद्धांतिक मंजूरी दी गई। महाराष्ट्र मेट्रो रेल कॉर्पोरेशन और महाराष्ट्र राज्य सड़क विकास निगम द्वारा संयुक्त रूप से सड़क और मेट्रो दोनों प्रकार की अवसंरचना को समायोजित करने वाला 7.4 किलोमीटर लंबा एलिवेटेड कॉरिडोर भी विकसित किया जाएगा।

मुंबई का छत्रपति शिवाजी महाराज अंतर्राष्ट्रीय हवाई अड्डा (सीएसएमआईए) कल (20 नवंबर) सुबह 11 बजे से शाम 5 बजे तक छह घंटे के लिए अपने दोनों रनवे अस्थायी रूप से बंद कर देगा, ताकि वार्षिक मानसून-पश्चात रनवे रखरखाव किया जा सके। इस निर्धारित बंद के दौरान सतह की मरम्मत, तकनीकी निरीक्षण, प्रकाश व्यवस्था, चिह्नों और जल निकासी प्रणालियों की जाँच की जाएगी ताकि सुरक्षित और कुशल उड़ान संचालन सुनिश्चित किया जा सके। हवाई अड्डे के अधिकारियों ने बताया कि व्यवधान को कम करने के लिए एयरलाइनों और हितधारकों के साथ समन्वय छह महीने पहले शुरू हो गया था। सीएसएमआईए का मानना है कि विमानन सुरक्षा के उच्चतम मानकों को बनाए रखने के लिए नियोजित रखरखाव आवश्यक है।

Telangana state government has launched MeeSeva on WhatsApp with an eye on improving access and convenience for people seeking to access government-to-citizen (G2C) services across nearly 40 departments. The MeeSeva WhatsApp Services introduce an advanced, conversational Artificial Intelligence (AI)-driven platform that enables citizens to access government services through a simple chat interface. State IT and Industries Minister D. Sridhar Babu, who launched the service, said extending access to more than 580 government-to-citizen services through a unified and intuitive chat-based interface is part of the continued efforts to bring government within reach of the people using technology. The minister said from hall tickets, weather information, government alerts to booking bus tickets, a number of services are likely to be added in future. The MeeSeva services on WhatsApp will be available in Telugu, Urdu and with voice command features soon. The service can be accessed by sending a ‘Hi’ message to WhatsApp Number 80969 58096. Users can apply for certificates such as birth, death and caste; make payments for utilities like electricity and water as well as property tax; remit police challan payments, track applications; receive updates and download issued documents.

हम याद कर रहे हैं मराठा शासित झाँसी राज्य की रानी और 1857 के प्रथम भारतीय स्वतंत्रता संग्राम की वीरांगना रानी लक्ष्मीबाई को। जब भी रानी लक्ष्मी बाई जिक्र होता है तो सुभद्रा कुमारी चौहान की लिखी ये कविता अनायास ही जुबान पर आ जाती है-
सिंहासन हिल उठे राजवंशों ने भृकुटी तानी थी,
बूढ़े भारत में आई फिर से नयी जवानी थी,
गुमी हुई आज़ादी की कीमत सबने पहचानी थी,
दूर फिरंगी को करने की सबने मन में ठानी थी।
चमक उठी सन सत्तावन में, वह तलवार पुरानी थी,
बुंदेले हरबोलों के मुँह हमने सुनी कहानी थी,
खूब लड़ी मर्दानी वह तो झाँसी वाली रानी थी।
बलिदानों की धरती, भारत में ऐसे-ऐसे वीरों ने जन्म लिया है, जिन्होंने अपने रक्त से देश प्रेम की अमिट गाथाएं लिखीं। यहाँ की ललनाएं भी इस कार्य में कभी किसी से पीछे नहीं रहीं, उन्हीं में से एक का नाम है- झाँसी की रानी लक्ष्मीबाई। उन्होंने न केवल भारत की बल्कि विश्व की महिलाओं को गौरवान्वित किया। उनका जीवन अपनेआप में वीरोचित गुणों से भरपूर, अमर देशभक्ति और बलिदान की एक अनुपम गाथा है।

आज आधुनिक भारत के ‘प्राचीन’ नायक केशव चंद्र सेन की जयंती है। केशव चंद्र सेन भारतीय ब्रह्म समाज के संस्थापक थें, जिन्होंने अपना सारा जीवन समाज को बेहतर बनाने में समर्पित कर दिया। वे बड़े तीव्र बुद्धि, तार्किक और विद्वान् युवक थे। उन्होंने उत्साहपूर्वक समाज को संगठित करना प्रारम्भ किया और इस कारण वे शीघ्र ही आचार्य पद पर नियुक्त हो गये। केशव चन्द्र सेन ने ही आर्य समाज के संस्थापक स्वामी दयानन्द सरस्वती को सलाह दी थी की वे ‘सत्यार्थ प्रकाश’ की रचना हिन्दी में करें।

आज पुण्यतिथि है संथाली भाषा के विद्वान शिक्षाविद और पद्मश्री से सम्मानित दिगम्बर हांसदा की। जनजातीय और उनकी भाषा के उत्थान के क्षेत्र में उनका महत्वपूर्ण योगदान है। वे केंद्र सरकार के ट्राइबल अनुसंधान संस्थान एवं साहित्य अकादमी के भी सदस्य रहे। दिगम्बर हांसदा ने पाठ्यक्रम की कई पुस्तकों का देवनागरी से संथाली में अनुवाद किया। उन्होंने भारतीय संविधान का भी संथाली भाषा की ओवचिकी लिपि में अनुवाद किया। स्कूल-कॉलेज की पुस्तकों में संथाली भाषा को जुड़वाने का श्रेय प्रोफ़ेसर दिगम्बर हांसदा को ही है। वे लालबहादुर शास्त्री मेमोरियल कॉलेज के प्राचार्य रहे एवं कोल्हान विश्वविद्यालय के सिंडिकेट सदस्य भी रहे। वर्ष 2018 में उन्हें साहित्य और शिक्षा के क्षेत्र में उत्कृष्ट योगदान के लिए ‘पद्मश्री’ सम्मान से नवाजा गया था।

श्रोताओं पहलवानी और अभिनय का कोई तालमेल नहीं है। दोनों क्षेत्र नदी के दो किनारे की तरह हैं, जिनका मिलना संभव नहीं है, लेकिन अपनी प्रतिभा और क्षमता से दोनों ही क्षेत्रों में जिन विरले लोगों ने सफलता पायी है, उनमें दारा सिंह का नाम अग्रणी है। वे 2003-2009 तक राज्यसभा के सदस्य भी रहे। आज उनकी जयंती है। दारा सिंह ने 1959 में पूर्व विश्व चैम्पियन जॉर्ज गार्डीयांका को पराजित करके कॉमनवेल्थ की विश्व चैम्पियनशिप जीती थी। बाद में वे अमरीका के विश्व चैम्पियन लाऊ थेज को पराजित कर फ्रीस्टाइल कुश्ती के विश्व चैम्पियन बने। दारा सिंह जब पहलवानी करते थे, तो उनके जैसा कोई पहलवान नहीं था और जब अभिनय करते हुए रामायण में भगवान हनुमान का किरदार निभाया, तो उनके जैसा को किरदार फिर कोई नहीं निभा पाया। सुनते हैं रावण के पुत्र के साथ हनुमान का ये संवाद-

हम याद कर रहे हैं, भारतीय फ़िल्म जगत को अपनी मधुर संगीत लहरियों से सजाने-संवारने वाले महान् संगीतकार सलिल चौधरी को, उनकी जयंती पर। उनके संगीतबद्घ गीत आज भी फिजां के कण-कण में गूँजते-से महसूस होते हैं।
गीत-इतना न मुझसे तू प्यार बढ़ा
फ़िल्म जगत में ‘सलिल दा’ के निर्देशन में इस गीत को तलत महमूद और लता मंगेशकर ने आवाज दी है और इसे सूरों में पिरोया है राजेंद्र कृष्ण ने।
‘मधुमती’, ‘दो बीघा जमीन’, ‘आनंद’, ‘मेरे अपने’ जैसी फ़िल्मों के मधुर संगीत के जरिए सलिल चौधरी आज भी लोगों के दिलों-दिमाग पर छाए हुए हैं। सुनते हैं मधुमती का ये गीत, जिसे आवाज दी है मुकेश और लता मंगेशकर ने और इसे सुर दिया है शैलेंन्द्र ने।
गीत-दिल तड़प-तड़प के कह रहा…
सलिल दा ने प्रमुख रूप से बंगाली, हिन्दी और मलयालम फ़िल्मों के लिए संगीत दिया था। वे पूरब और पश्चिम के संगीत मिश्रण से एक ऐसा संगीत तैयार करते थे, जो परंपरागत संगीत से काफ़ी अलग होता था। अपनी इन्हीं खूबियों के कारण उन्होंने श्रोताओं के दिलों में अपनी अलग ही पहचान बनाई थी।

ज़ीनत अमान (अंग्रेज़ी: Zeenat Aman, जन्म- 19 नवंबर, 1951, मुम्बई)
भारतीय हिंदी सिनेमा की ख्यातिप्राप्त अभिनेत्री रही ज़ीनत अमान आज अपना जन्मदिन मना रही हैं। वह एक अभिनेत्री होने के साथ ही पूर्व मॉडल भी हैं। जीनत अमान भारतीय सिनेमा की वह एक्ट्रेस हैं जिन्होंने 1970 के दशक में हीरोइन की परिभाषा ही बदल दी। 19 नवंबर 1951 को जन्मीं जीनत ने कभी खुद को ट्रेडिश्नल ब्यूटी स्टैंडर्डस में नहीं बांधा। लंबा कद, गोरा रंग, बड़ी-बड़ी आंखें और बेबाक अंदाज – वे स्क्रीन पर एक तूफान की तरह आई थीं। 1970 में महज 19 साल की उम्र में द एविल विदिन और 1971 में ‘हंगामा’ और ‘हलचल’ से शुरुआत करने के बाद उन्हें असली पहचान मिली राज कपूर की ‘सत्यम शिवम सुंदरम’ (1978) से, इस फिल्म में उन्होंने रूपा का किरदार निभाया। उन्हें 1970 और 1980 के दशक के दौरान हिन्दी फ़िल्मों में अपने काम के लिए जाना जाता है। बॉलीवुड में अपनी शुरुआत करने पर ज़ीनत अमान को परवीन बॉबी के साथ हिन्दी सिनेमा की अग्रणी अभिनेत्रियों को आधुनिक रूप देकर उनकी छवि पर स्थायी प्रभाव छोड़ने का श्रेय दिया गया है। फ़िल्म ‘यादों की बारात’ (1973) की सफलता के बाद ज़ीनत अमान स्टार बन गई थीं। इस फ़िल्म में ‘चुरा लिया है तुमने जो दिल को’ गीत ज़ीनत पर फ़िल्माया गया और वे युवाओं के दिल की धड़कन बन गईं।
