बिहार में नई सरकार के गठन पर एनडीए गठबंधन के बीच राजनीतिक गतिविधियां तेज हो गई हैं। पटना और नई दिल्ली में एनडीए गठबंधन के सदस्यों के बीच विचार-विमर्श और बैठकों का दौर जारी है। कैबिनेट के गठन और मंत्रिपरिषद् में विभिन्न पार्टियों के प्रतिनिधित्व सहित कई मुद्दों पर चर्चा जारी है। विधानसभा चुनावों में भारतीय जनता पार्टी 89 सीट के साथ सबसे बड़ी पार्टी के रूप में उभरी है, जबकि चिराग पासवान के नेतृत्व वाली लोक जनशक्ति पार्टी (रामविलास) ने 19 सीटें जीती हैं, वहीं हिन्दुस्तानी अवाम मोर्चा ने पांच और राष्ट्रीय लोक मोर्चा ने चार सीटें हासिल की हैं।
जनता दल यूनाइटेड विधायक दल आज पटना में अपना नेता चुनने के लिए पटना में बैठक करेगा। जनता दल यूनाइटेड के नवनिर्वाचित 85 विधानसभा सदस्यों के सर्वसम्मति से नीतीश कुमार को पार्टी का नेता चुनने की उम्मीद है। भारतीय जनता पार्टी भी आज अपने विधायक दल के नेता का चुनाव करेगी। इसके बाद एनडीए की बैठक का आयोजन किया जाएगा। आज ही एनडीए के नवनिर्वाचित विधानसभा सदस्यों की बैठक की भी संभावना है। इसके बाद एनडीए अपने नेता का चुनाव करेगी और नई सरकार के गठन के लिए दावा पेश करेगी। इससे पहले, आज मुख्यमंत्री नीतीश कुमार की अध्यक्षता में मौजूदा सरकार के मंत्रिपरिषद् की अंतिम बैठक होगी। इस बैठक में मौजूदा मंत्रिपरिषद् को भंग करने और नई सरकार के गठन का प्रस्ताव पारित किया जाएगा। इसके बाद मुख्यमंत्री नीतीश कुमार राज्यपाल को त्यागपत्र सौपेंगे।
इस बीच, नई सरकार के शपथ ग्रहण समारोह की तैयारियां शुरू हो गई हैं। यह समारोह पटना के ऐतिहासिक गांधी मैदान में होगा, जहां राज्यपाल आरिफ मोहम्मद खान नए मुख्यमंत्री और अन्य मंत्रियों को शपथ दिलाएंगे। शपथ ग्रहण समारोह 20 नवंबर को होने की संभावना है। इस बीच, पटना जिला प्रशासन ने आज से 20 नवंबर तक गांधी मैदान को आम सभा के लिए बंद कर दिया है।

UK home secretary Shabana Mahmood will address the House of Commons today to lay out the most sweeping reforms to tackle illegal migration in modern times. The home secretary said Britain must restore order and control over who enters and remains in the country. Modelled on the Danish system, the aim of the reforms is to make the UK less attractive for illegal immigrants and make it easier to deport them. Under the plans, refugees will face a 20-year wait before they can apply for permanent settlement. Under the proposals, refugee status will become temporary and subject to regular review, with refugees removed once their home countries are deemed safe. Housing and weekly allowances will no longer be guaranteed for asylum seekers. The home secretary also plans to change the law so that multiple attempts to appeal against refusals for asylum will no longer be allowed. The Home Office said the “golden ticket” deal has seen asylum claims surge in the UK, drawing people across Europe, through safe countries, on to dangerous small boats. But the shake-up will also see the introduction of safe and legal routes to the UK in a bid to cut dangerous journeys in small boats across the Channel.

दिल्ली सरकार ने राजधानी के तीन मैट्रो स्टेशनों का नाम बदल दिया गया है। यात्रियों की सुविधा और स्थानीय पहचान के लिए उत्तरी पीतमपुरा स्टेशन का नाम अब उत्तरी पीतमपुरा-प्रशांत विहार मेट्रो स्टेशन, पीतमपुरा नॉर्थ मेट्रो स्टेशन का नाम अब हैदरपुर गाँव मेट्रो स्टेशन और पीतमपुरा मेट्रो स्टेशन का नाम मधुबन चौक मेट्रो स्टेशन होगा। यह घोषणा मुख्यमंत्री रेखा गुप्ता ने हैदरपुर में आयोजित जांगला युद्ध के वीर शहीदों के सम्मान में निकली पवित्र रज कलश यात्रा में की। श्रीमती गुप्ता ने कहा कि हैदरपुर गाँव की यह धरती स्वयं को धन्य मान रही है कि वीर शहीदों की पवित्र स्मृति यहाँ पहुँची है। उन्होंने कहा कि हमारी सरकार इस क्षेत्र के समग्र विकास के लिए पूरी तरह प्रतिबद्ध है।

The Statement from the Chief Electoral Officer has said that the Special Intensive Revision of the electoral rolls is in progress in Tamil Nadu. As part of the enumeration phase the Booth Level Officers are distributing the enumeration forms and collecting the filled up forms from the electors across all Assembly constituencies of Tamil Nadu. The Booth level agents of recognised political parties can submit upto a maximum of 50 enumeration forms per day to the concerned BLO. The BLA will also submit application forms with the following undertaking that he or she has personally verified the particulars of the applicant and satisfied with the information provided. The Booth level officers will then verify such enumeration forms, digitise the context and submit the same to the concerned Assistant electoral registration officer. The ERO will scrutinise the enumeration forms as and when they are received and take appropriate action as required on a case to case basis.

The associated cyclonic upper air circulation extends up to 5.8 kilometers above mean sea level tilting south-west with height. It is likely to move slowly west-north-west wards during the next 24 hours. Due to the low pressure, heavy to very heavy rains are likely at isolated places over Cuddalore, Mayiladuthurai, Nagapattinam and Tiruvarur districts. Moreoevr, heavy rains have been predicted for delta areas and Ramanathapuram for another three days in coastal districts of the state. According to the prediction, Chennai and Tiruvallur are also likely to receive heavy rains on Monday.

आज पुण्यतिथि है ब्रिगेडियर कुलदीप सिंह चाँदपुरी की। उनका जन्म- 22 नवम्बर, 1940 को मिंट गुमरी, अविभाजित भारत में हुआ था। (मृत्यु- 17 नवम्बर, 2018) वे भारतीय सेना के वह वीर सैन्य अधिकारी थे, सन 1971 के भारत-पाकिस्तान युद्ध में राजस्थान के लोंगावाला मोर्चे पर हुई लड़ाई का उन्हें हीरो माना जाता है। इस लड़ाई में कुलदीप सिंह चाँदपुरी लोंगावाला पोस्ट पर तैनात थे। सीमा पर पाकिस्तान की पूरी टैंक रेजिमेंट थी और चांदपुरी की कमांड में सिर्फ़ 120 जवान थे। भारतीय फ़ौज में शानदार सेवाओं के लिए उन्हें ‘महावीर चक्र’ और ‘विशिष्ट सेवा मेडल’ से नवाज़ा गया था। कुलदीप सिंह चाँदपुरी और उनके साथियों की लोंगावाला मोर्चे पर दिखाई बहादुरी पर बॉलीवुड फ़िल्म ‘बॉर्डर’ बनाई गई थी। इस फ़िल्म में तत्कालीन मेजर कुलदीप चांदपुरी की भूमिका अभिनेता सनी देओल ने निभाई थी।

आज जयंती है रामासामी गणेशन की। उनका जन्म 17 नवंबर 1920 को पुदुकोट्टाई, तमिलनाडु में हुआ था। (22 मार्च 2005) उन्हें मंच नाम जेमिनी गणेशन से बेहतर जाना जाता है, वे एक भारतीय अभिनेता थे जिन्होंने मुख्य रूप से तमिल सिनेमा में काम किया। फिल्मों में उनकी रोमांटिक भूमिकाओं के लिए उन्हें काधल मन्नान (रोमांस का राजा) कहा जाता था। गणेशन “तमिल सिनेमा के तीन सबसे बड़े नामों” में से एक थे। उन्होंने हिंदी फिल्मों में भी अभिनय किया है। 1971 में पद्म श्री प्राप्त करने वाले, जेमिनी गणेशन ने कलैमामणि, एमजीआर गोल्ड मेडल और स्क्रीन लाइफटाइम अचीवमेंट पुरस्कार सहित कई अन्य पुरस्कार भी जीते थे।
