Tamil Nadu Government suspended two senior drug inspectors following the deaths of over 20 children in Madhya Pradesh due to contaminated cough syrup. The inspectors have been accused of negligence for failing to inspect the manufacturing unit of Sresan Pharmaceuticals which was found to be having several lapses in production and hygiene. State health minister M. Subramanian said that the senior drug inspectors were suspended as they had not inspected the manufacturing unit and initiated necessary steps to stop production in the unit. He said 364 critical and major issues were identified at every stage from sourcing of raw materials to drug making, testing and packing.

The Telangana State Election Commission has suspended the upcoming Gram Panchayat and ZPTC elections following a High Court stay on the state’s move to increase Backward Classes (BC) reservations to 42%. The court questioned the legality of raising total reservations to 67%, breaching the 50% cap set by the Supreme Court. The state has four weeks to respond, after which petitioners will file a counter within two weeks. The reservation hike was based on a commission’s recommendation, though the related bill is still pending presidential assent.

मानसिक स्वास्थ्य को ठीक रखने के लिए निरंतर प्रयास करते रहना इसलिए भी जरूरी है क्योंकि ये समस्या कई प्रकार की शारीरिक बीमारियों जैसे हाई ब्लड प्रेशर, हृदय रोग, डायबिटीज और मेटाबॉलिज्म पर भी असर डालने वाली हो सकती है।युवाओं में तेजी से बढ़ती मानसिक स्वास्थ्य की समस्याएं विशेषज्ञों के लिए गंभीर चिंता का कारण बनी हुई हैं। हालिया आंकड़ों से पता चलता है कि कम उम्र के लोग, छात्रों में ये खतरा और तेजी से बढ़ता जा रहा है। देश के 70% छात्रों में एंग्जाइटी की समस्या हो सकती है, जिसके कारण संपूर्ण स्वास्थ्य पर कई प्रकार से नकारात्मक असर हो सकता है।तेज रफ्तार जीवनशैली, सोशल मीडिया का दबाव, करियर की अनिश्चितता और रिश्तों में अस्थिरता, ये सब युवाओं के मानसिक स्वास्थ्य पर गहरा असर डाल रहे हैं. आज का युवा लगातार खुद की तुलना दूसरों से करता है.
डिप्रेशन से बचने का तरीका
- डिप्रेशन से बचाव के लिए सबसे जरूरी है खुलकर बात करना. परिवार या दोस्तों के साथ अपने मन की बात साझा करना मानसिक बोझ को काफी हद तक हल्का कर सकता है. साथ ही, मेडिटेशन और योग जैसी चीजें मन को शांत रखने में मदद करती हैं।
- पर्याप्त नींद, संतुलित आहार और डिजिटल डिटॉक्स को भी अपनी दिनचर्या में शामिल करना चाहिए. यदि लक्षण गंभीर हों, तो विशेषज्ञ की मदद लेने में बिल्कुल संकोच नहीं करना चाहिए।
- युवाओं के लिए यह समझना आवश्यक है कि मानसिक स्वास्थ्य कमजोरी नहीं, बल्कि इंसान की वास्तविक ताकत है. जिस तरह शरीर की बीमारी का इलाज संभव है, वैसे ही मन की उलझनों का भी समाधान है।

The day marks the foundation of the World Federation for Mental Health in the year 1948.World Federation for Mental Health is an international membership organization which aims to prevent mental and emotional disorders, provide proper treatment and care and the promotion of mental health.
Crises such as natural disasters, conflicts, and public health emergencies cause emotional distress, with one in five individuals experiencing a mental health condition. Supporting the mental well-being of individuals during such crises is not just important – it saves lives, gives people the strength to cope, the space to heal and to recover and rebuild not only as individuals but as communities. That’s why it is essential for everyone, including government officials, health and social care providers, school staff and community groups to come together. By working hand in hand, we can ensure the most vulnerable have access to the support they need while protecting the well-being of everyone.
On this World Mental Health Day, let us intensify our efforts to create a world where mental health is valued, protected, and accessible for all, especially in the face of adversity.

Rasipuram Krishnaswami Narayanaswami (10 October 1906 – 13 May 2001), better known as R. K. Narayan, was an Indian writer and novelist known for his work set in the fictional South Indian town of Malgudi. He was a leading author of early Indian literature in English along with Mulk Raj Anand and Raja Rao. In 1980, he was awarded the AC Benson Medal by the Royal Society of Literature, and in 1981 he was made Honorary Member of the American Academy and Institute of Arts and Letters.
Narayan is the author of more than 200 novels, as well as short stories and plays. His work highlights the social context and everyday life of his characters, often in between traditional life and modernity. He has been compared to William Faulkner who created a similar fictional town and likewise explored with humor and compassion the energy of ordinary life. Narayan’s short stories have been compared with those of Guy de Maupassant because of his ability to compress a narrative.
In a career that spanned over sixty years Narayan received many awards and honours including the AC Benson Medal from the Royal Society of Literature, the Padma Vibhushan and the Padma Bhushan, India’s second and third highest civilian awards,[2] and in 1994 the Sahitya Akademi Fellowship, the highest honour of India’s National Academy of Letters.[3] He was also nominated to the Rajya Sabha, the upper house of the Indian Parliament.

She followed it with roles in Baseraa (1981), Ek Hi Bhool (1981), Jeevan Dhaara (1982) and Agar Tum Na Hote (1983 Rekha’s work was much less prolific in subsequent decades. Her roles in early 1990s mostly met with lukewarm reviews. In 1996, she played against type in the role of an underworld don in the action thriller Khiladiyon Ka Khiladi (1996), for which she won a third Filmfare Award in the Best Supporting Actress category, and further appeared in Kama Sutra: A Tale of Love (1996) and Aastha: In the Prison of Spring (1997) to critical acclaim but some public scrutiny. During the 2000s, she was praised for her supporting roles in the 2001 dramas Zubeidaa and Lajja, and started playing mother roles, among which was her role in the science fiction Koi… Mil Gaya (2003) and its superhero sequel Krrish (2006), both commercial successes. The lattermost emerged as her highest-grossing release.

अपने कॅरियर के दौरान उन्होंने कई दमदार रोल किए और कई मजबूत फीमेल किरदार को पर्दे पर बेहतरीन तरीके से पेश किया और मुख्यधारा के सिनेमा के अलावा उन्होंने कई आर्ट फ़िल्मों मे भी काम किया। उन्हें तीन बार फ़िल्मफेयर पुरस्कार मिल चुका है, दो बार सर्वश्रेष्ठ अभिनेत्री का और एक बार सर्वश्रेष्ठ सह-अभिनेत्री का जिसमें ‘खूबसूरत’, ‘खून भरी मांग’, और ‘खिलाडि़यों का खिलाड़ी’ जैसी फ़िल्में शामिल हैं। ‘उमराव जान’ के लिए उन्हें सर्वश्रेष्ठ अभिनेत्री का राष्ट्रीय फ़िल्म पुरस्कार भी मिल चुका है।
उनके कॅरियर का ग्राफ कई बार नीचे भी गिरा लेकिन के उन्होंने अपने को कई बार इससे उबारा और स्टेटस को बरकरार रखने के लिए उनकी क्षमता ने सभी का दिल जीता। 2010 में उन्हें पद्मश्री सम्मान से भी नवाजा गया। आज भी अपने पहनावे और बेहतरीन अंदाज के लिए रेखा को देखा जा सकता है।

मनोरमा
मनोरमा (अंग्रेज़ी: Manorama, जन्म- 26 मई, 1937, राजमन्नारगुड़ी, तंजावुर ज़िला, तमिलनाडु; मृत्यु- 10 अक्टूबर, 2015, चेन्नई) भारतीय दक्षिण सिनेमा की सुप्रसिद्ध हास्य अभिनेत्री एवं गायिका थीं। उन्होंने 1500 से अधिक तमिल, तेलुगु, मलयालम और कन्नड़ फ़िल्मों में काम किया था। मनोरमा ने फ़िल्मों में अपने अभिनय से दर्शकों का खूब प्यार पाया और थान्गावेलु, थेंगाई श्रीनिवासन, छो और नागेश सरीखे दिग्गज अभिनेताओं के साथ काम किया। 1000 फ़िल्में पूरी होने के साथ ही उनका नाम ‘गिनीज बुक ऑफ़ वर्ल्ड रिकॉर्ड’ में दर्ज हो गया। वर्ष 2002 में भारत सरकार द्वारा उन्हें पद्मश्री से सम्मानित किया गया।

जगजीत सिंह
जब भी गजल की बात होती है, एक नाम अनायास ही जुबान पर आता है, वो है जगजीत सिंह। राजस्थान के श्रीगंगानगर में जन्मे इस महान गायक ने अपनी मखमली आवाज और भावनाओं की गहराई से गजल को न केवल एक नया मुकाम दिया, बल्कि इसे हर दिल तक पहुंचाया।
उनका सफर शुरू हुआ राजस्थान की मिट्टी से, जहां संगीत उनके लिए सिर्फ शौक नहीं, बल्कि आत्मा की आवाज थी. कम उम्र में ही उन्होंने शास्त्रीय संगीत की तालीम ली और जल्द ही उनकी प्रतिभा ने मुंबई की चकाचौंध तक पहुंचा दिया।
1981 में रमन कुमार निर्देशित ‘प्रेमगीत’ और 1982 में महेश भट्ट निर्देशित अर्थ को भला कौन भूल सकता है। अर्थ में जगजीत जी ने ही संगीत दिया था। फ़िल्म का हर गाना लोगों की ज़ुबान पर चढ़ गया था
10 अक्टूबर 2011 को जगजीत सिंह ने इस दुनिया को अलविदा कहा, लेकिन उनकी गजलें आज भी हर दिल में जिंदा हैं।
Jagjit Singh (born Jagmohan Singh Dhiman; 8 February 1941 – 10 October 2011) was an Indian composer, singer and musician. He composed and sang in numerous languages and is credited for the revival and popularity of ghazal, an Indian classical art form, by choosing poetry that was relevant to the masses and composing them in a way that laid more emphasis on the meaning of words and melody evoked by them. In terms of Indian classical music, his style of composing and gayaki (singing) is considered as Bol-pradhan, one that lays emphasis on words. He highlighted this in his music for films such as Prem Geet (1981), Arth (1982), and Saath Saath (1982), and TV serials Mirza Ghalib (1988) and Kahkashan (1991). Singh is considered to be among the most successful ghazal singers and composers of all time in terms of critical acclaim and commercial success. With a career spanning five decades and many albums, the range and breadth of his work has been regarded as genre-defining.
