Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the World Food India 2025 at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi this evening. The four-day event will showcase India’s strengths in the food processing sector, food sustainability and the production of nutritious and organic food. Our correspondent reports that the event will showcase India’s transformative journey in food processing, while fostering international collaborations and investment opportunities.
“The mega global food event will witness participation from more than 21 countries, 21 States and Union Territories and ten Central Ministries, making it the largest congregation of stakeholders in Indian food processing sector. The credit-linked support of over 770 crore rupees will be provided to around 26 thousand beneficiaries for micro projects in food processing sector under the Pradhan Mantri Formalisation of Micro Food Processing Enterprises Scheme. Several session including CEO roundtables, technical sessions, exhibitions, and multiple business interactions will be held during the event. Union Cabinet chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi has approved the third phase of the centrally sponsored scheme to add 5,023 MBBS seats and five thousand PG seats in existing government medical colleges and institutes at a cost of 15 thousand 34 crore rupees over the next three years. This initiative will significantly augment undergraduate medical capacity, increase the availability of specialist doctors by creating additional postgraduate seats, and enable the introduction of new specialities across Government medical institutions.This will strengthen the overall availability of doctors in the country.
The total financial implications of these two schemes is over 15 thousand 34 crore rupees for a period from 2025-26 to 2028-29. Out of 15 thousand 34 crore rupees, the central share is 10 thousand 303 crore ripees and the state share is 4731 crore rupees.

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced the tentative date sheets for the Class 10 and 12 board examinations to be held next year. It said that the examinations are scheduled to be conducted between 17th February and 15th July of next year.
The CBSE, in a statement, said that these dates are tentative and that final date sheets will be issued upon submission of the final list of candidates by the schools. Nearly 45 lakh students are expected to appear in 204 subjects across India and 26 countries abroad. This is the first time that board exams for Class 10 will be conducted twice in an academic session.

गृह मंत्रालय ने कहा है कि केंद्र सरकार सोनम वांगचुक की छठी अनुसूची और लद्दाख को राज्य का दर्जा देने की मांग पर लेह और कारगिल डेमोक्रेटिक अलायंस के साथ सक्रिय रूप से बातचीत कर रही है। मंत्रालय ने कहा कि उच्चाधिकार प्राप्त समिति और उप-समिति के औपचारिक माध्यम से कई बैठकें आयोजित की गई। साथ ही नेताओं के साथ कई अनौपचारिक बैठकों के माध्यम से उनके साथ कई बैठकें हुईं।
मंत्रालय ने कहा कि इस संवाद प्रक्रिया से अभूतपूर्व परिणाम आए हैं। लद्दाख की अनुसूचित जनजातियों के लिए आरक्षण को 45 प्रतिशत से बढ़ाकर 84 प्रतिशत दिया है। परिषदों में एक-तिहाई महिलाओं के लिए आरक्षण भी प्रदान किया है। इसके अलावा भोटी और पुर्गी को आधिकारिक भाषा घोषित किया है। मंत्रालय ने कहा कि इस प्रक्रिया के साथ, 1800 पदों पर भर्ती भी शुरू हो गई है।
मंत्रालय ने कहा कि उच्चाधिकार प्राप्त समिति की अगली बैठक अगले महीने की 6 तारीख को निर्धारित की गई है और साथ ही आज और कल लद्दाख के नेताओं के साथ बैठकें भी निर्धारित हैं। मंत्रालय ने यह भी कहा कि राजनीति से प्रेरित कुछ लोग जो उच्चाधिकार प्राप्त समिति के तहत हुई प्रगति से खुश नहीं हैं, वो इस वार्ता प्रक्रिया को विफल करने की कोशिश कर रहे हैं।
मंत्रालय ने कहा कि जिन मांगों को लेकर श्री वांगचुक भूख हड़ताल पर थे, वे उच्चाधिकार प्राप्त समिति में चर्चा का अभिन्न अंग हैं। मंत्रालय ने कहा कि सरकार पर्याप्त संवैधानिक सुरक्षा उपाय प्रदान करके लद्दाख के लोगों की आकांक्षाओं के प्रति प्रतिबद्ध है। मंत्रालय ने लोगों से मीडिया और सोशल मीडिया पर पुराने और भड़काऊ वीडियो प्रसारित न करने का भी अनुरोध किया।
इस बीच, छठी अनुसूची और लद्दाख के लिए राज्य का दर्जा की मांग को लेकर हिंसक विरोध प्रदर्शन के बाद लेह में प्रतिबंध लगा दिए गए हैं। लद्दाख के उपराज्यपाल कविंदर गुप्ता ने हिंसक घटनाओं की कड़ी निंदा की है और शांति की अपील की है।

दिल्ली की मुख्यमंत्री रेखा गुप्ता ने कल सेवा पखवाड़े के अंतर्गत पीरागढ़ी स्थित डीटीसी बस डिपो पर स्विचिंग सब-स्टेशन और ईवी चार्जिंग स्टेशनों का शुभारंभ किया। उन्होंने बताया कि इन सब-स्टेशनों में प्रतिदिन एक हजार से अधिक ईवी बसों को चार्ज करने की क्षमता होगी। श्रीमती गुप्ता ने कहा कि इससे दिल्ली की सार्वजनिक परिवहन व्यवस्था और अधिक ऊर्जा-कुशल बनेगी तथा प्रदूषण और कार्बन उत्सर्जन में कमी आएगी।

Stalin expressed deep shock and grief over her demise. In his condolence message, he recalled her career as a doctor turned administrator and described her as an experienced officer who handled challenging responsibilities with commitment.

The Karnataka High Court yesterday rejected X Corp petition that challenged Government of India’s authority to issue information blocking orders. The Court adjudged that social media must be regulated and ruled that social media content must be controlled, especially those against women. It rejected the argument presented by X Corp that the Government officials lacked the power to issue orders under the concerned sections of IT Act.

Telangana Government’s initiative for women entrepreneurs, WE Hub, has rolled out the first cohort of the Raising and Accelerating MSME Performance (RAMP) women acceleration programme in Hyderabad. The effort is a World Bank – assisted initiative supported by the Union Ministry of MSME. The cohort comprises 45 women-led micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) from 13 districts of Telangana that were selected through extensive outreach boot-camps in districts. Over the next two years, till March 2027, the selected enterprises will receive comprehensive acceleration support to expand their businesses and enhance their market presence and revenue.

पुण्यतिथि जयंती या जन्म दिन –
आज पुण्यतिथि है भारत की प्रथम महिला चिकित्सक रूक्माबाई राउत की। रूक्माबाई डॉक्टर बनकर जनसेवा करना चाहती थीं। उनके इस फैसले को घरवालों और लोगों का समर्थन मिला। इसके बाद वे मेडिकल की पढाई करने के लिए लंदन स्कूल ऑफ़ मेडिसन में गईं। वहाँ से रुक्माबाई ने स्नातक की उपाधि प्राप्त की और वर्ष 1895 में वापस भारत लौटीं। रुक्माबाई ने सूरत के महिला अस्तपाल से डाक्टरी की शुरूआत की और जीवन भर चिकित्सा के माध्यम से जनसेवा की। हिंदू लेडी’ के नाम से मशहूर हुईं रुक्माबाई ने अखबारों में भी कई पत्र लिखे। रुक्माबाई की कहानी को उपन्यास और फ़िल्मों में शामिल किया गया है। उनके जीवन पर आधारित मराठी फ़िल्म डॉक्टर रखमाबाई है में तनिष्ठा चटर्जी ने उनके किरदार को बखूबी निभाया। ये फ़िल्म 2016 में रिलीज़ हुई थी।

आज पुण्यतिथि है साहित्य सेवी, दार्शनिक और सिद्ध संत सुदर्शन सिंह चक्र की। जहां एक ओर उन्होंने कल्याण पत्रिका के सम्पादकीय विभाग में अनेक वर्षों तक हनुमान प्रसाद पोद्दार के सान्निध्य में रहकर धार्मिक पत्रकारिता के अनेक आदर्श स्थापित किए, वहीं धार्मिक, आध्यात्मिक विषयों पर उन्होंने 80 से अधिक पुस्तकें लिखकर साहित्य-साधना की। युवावस्था में वर्ष में वे कोलकाता चले गए। अप्रैल 1930 में चन्दौली में उन्होंने नमक आन्दोलन के संचालन में सक्रिय रूप से भाग लिया। इस दौरान वे कई बार जेल गए। काशी में वे संत-महात्माओं के सम्पर्क में आए तथा अपना जीवन धर्म और भारतीय संस्कृति की सेवा के लिए समर्पित कर दिया। उन्होंने 1931 तक धार्मिक मासिक “संकीर्तन’ तथा कई वर्षों तक “मानस मणि’ और ‘श्रीकृष्ण सन्देश’ पत्रिकाओं का सम्पादन किया। उन्होंने श्री रामचरित, श्री शिवचरित, श्रीकृष्णचरित, श्रीहनुमानचरित जैसे ग्रंथ लिखे।

आज पुण्यतिथि है भारतीय सिनेमा के प्रसिद्ध पार्श्वगायकों में से एस. पी. बालासुब्रमण्यम की। उनका पूरा नाम श्रीपति पण्डितराध्युल बालासुब्रमण्यम था। पार्श्वगायक होने के साथ-साथ वह एक अभिनेता, संगीत निर्देशक, गायक और फ़िल्म निर्माता भी थे। एस. पी. बालासुब्रमण्यम ने छह बार सर्वश्रेष्ठ पार्श्वगायक के लिए ‘राष्ट्रीय फ़िल्म पुरस्कार’ और आन्ध्र प्रदेश सरकार द्वारा 25 बार तेलुगू सिनेमा में ‘नन्दी पुरस्कार’ जीता। जब अभिनेता सलमान ख़ान नए-नए फ़िल्मों में आए थे तो कई सालों तक एस.पी. बालासुब्रण्यम को प्रसिद्ध अभिनेता सलमान ख़ान की आवाज़ समझा जाता था। फ़िल्म ‘मैंने प्यार किया’ के गाने हों या ‘साजन’ या फिर ‘हम आपके हैं कौन’- इन सब फ़िल्मों में सलमान ख़ान को एस.पी. बालासुब्रमण्यम ने ही आवाज़ दी थी। एसपी ने दिसंबर 1966 में तेलुगु फिल्म ‘श्री श्री मर्यादा रमन्ना’ से गाने की शुरुआत की। एक दूजे के लिए’, ‘मैंने प्यार किया’, ‘साजन’, ‘पत्थर के फूल’, ‘हम आपके हैं कौन’ और ‘रोजा उनकी प्रमुख फिल्मों में से एक है। उन्हें पद्मश्री और पद्मभूषण पुरस्कारों से सम्मानित किया गया।

आज जयंती है भारतीय जनसंघ के नेता, पंडित दीनदयाल उपाध्याद की। वे एक प्रखर विचारक, उत्कृष्ट संगठनकर्ता और एक ऐसे नेता थे जिन्होंने जीवनपर्यंन्त अपनी व्यक्तिगत ईमानदारी तथा सत्यनिष्ठा को महत्त्व दिया। वे भारतीय जनता पार्टी के लिए वैचारिक मार्गदर्शन और नैतिक प्रेरणा के स्रोत रहे हैं। पंडित दीनदयाल उपाध्याय मज़हब और संप्रदाय के आधार पर भारतीय संस्कृति का विभाजन करने वालों को देश के विभाजन का ज़िम्मेदार मानते थे। वह हिन्दू राष्ट्रवादी तो थे ही, इसके साथ ही साथ भारतीय राजनीति के पुरोधा भी थे। दीनदयाल की मान्यता थी कि हिन्दू कोई धर्म या संप्रदाय नहीं, बल्कि भारत की राष्ट्रीय संस्कृति हैं। दीनदयाल उपाध्याय की पुस्तक एकात्म मानववाद है जिसमें साम्यवाद और पूंजीवाद, दोनों की समालोचना की गई है। राष्ट्र धर्म, पांचजन्य, स्वदेश भी उनकी रचनाएं हैं। गरीबों और जरूरतमंदों के कल्याण के लिए पंडित दीनदयाल के योगदान को रेखांकित करने के लिए देशभर में उनकी जयंती को अंत्योद्य दिवस के रूप में मनाया जाता है।
Antyodaya Diwas is being celebrated today in the country, in honour of Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyaya’s birth anniversary. In 2014, Government of India decided to celebrate the day with the spirit of ‘reaching out to the last person’. It was the same day when the Ministry of Rural Development revamped it’s existing skill development program called Aajeevika Skills as Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Grameen Kaushalya Yojana (DDU-GKY) which emphasized on greater access, coverage and quality. The of Rural Development is also working towards this motto through reaching to all eligible rural youths of India.
