आज 26 जुलाई है यानी कारगिल विजय दिवस। तो करगिल विजय दिवस पर सभी शहीदों को दिल से नमन! भारत के जम्मू और कश्मीर राज्य में आज से 26 वर्ष पहले भारतीय सेना ने 26 जुलाई, 1999 के ही दिन नियंत्रण रेखा से लगी कारगिल की पहाड़ियों पर कब्जा जमाए आतंकियों और उनके वेश में घुस आए पाकिस्तानी सैनिकों को मार भगाया था। पाकिस्तान के ख़िलाफ़ यह पूरा युद्ध ही था, जिसमें बड़ी संख्या में भारतीय जवान शहीद हुए थे। इन वीर और जाबांज जवानों को पूरा देश आज ही के दिन यानि ’26 जुलाई’ के दिन याद करता है और श्रद्धापूर्वक नमन करता है।

The nation comes together this year to observe the 26th Kargil Vijay Diwas, a day that shines like a beacon of pride in India’s history. It marks the glorious victory of 1999 when our soldiers, braving snow-clad peaks and relentless enemy fire, reclaimed the heights of Kargil with unmatched courage and unwavering resolve. On 26 July, the tricolour once again soared proudly over the rugged mountains of Ladakh, a symbol of sacrifice, valour, and an unbreakable national spirit.

कारगिल युद्ध, जो कि ‘कारगिल संघर्ष’ के नाम से भी जाना जाता है, भारत और पाकिस्तान के बीच 1999 में मई के महीने में कश्मीर के कारगिल ज़िले से शुरू हुआ था। इस युद्ध का महत्त्वपूर्ण कारण था बड़ी संख्या में पाकिस्तानी सैनिकों व पाक समर्थित आतंकवादियों का ‘लाइन ऑफ कंट्रोल’ यानी भारत-पाकिस्तान की वास्तविक नियंत्रण रेखा के भीतर घुस आना।

Kargil Vijay Diwas is more than an occasion of remembrance. It is a pledge to honour the legacy of those who gave everything for the motherland. It is an enduring call to keep alive the spirit of courage and sacrifice that safeguards our freedom. Today, as we pay homage to the heroes of 1999, we reaffirm a timeless truth: India’s unity and sovereignty will forever remain inviolable.

दुश्मन का उद्देश्य था कि कई महत्त्वपूर्ण पहाड़ी चोटियों पर क़ब्ज़ा कर लेह-लद्दाख को भारत से जोड़ने वाली सड़क का नियंत्रण हासिल कर सियाचिन ग्लेशियर पर भारत की स्थिति को कमजोर कर हमारी राष्ट्रीय अस्मिता के लिए खतरा पैदा करना। पूरे दो महीने से भी अधिक समय तक चले इस युद्ध में भारतीय थलसेना व वायुसेना ने ‘लाइन ऑफ कंट्रोल’ पार न करने के आदेश के बावजूद अपनी मातृभूमि में घुसे आक्रमणकारियों को मार भगाया था। स्वतंत्रता का अपना ही मूल्य होता है, जो वीरों के रक्त से चुकाया जाता है।

Under “Operation Vijay,” our Army, supported by the Air Force, launched a meticulously planned and executed counter-offensive. Tales of extraordinary valor emerged from every peak and every ridge. We remember heroes like Captain Vikram Batra, whose battle cry “Yeh Dil Maange More!” echoed across the mountains;

Lieutenant Manoj Kumar Pandey, who led from the front with unparalleled bravery; and Grenadier Yogendra Singh Yadav, who displayed incredible fortitude. These are but a few names among the hundreds who made the supreme sacrifice, laying down their lives to protect our sovereignty and honor.

प्रधानमंत्री मोदी – मालदीव स्‍वतंत्रता दिवस

प्रधानमंत्री नरेन्‍द्र मोदी आज मालदीव के 60वें स्‍वतंत्रता दिवस पर मुख्‍य अतिथि होंगे। श्री मोदी, राष्‍ट्रपति मोहम्‍मद मुइज्‍जू के विशेष आमंत्रण पर मालदीव की राजकीय यात्रा पर हैं। कल श्री मुइज्‍जू ने उनके सम्‍मान में भोज का आयोजन किया था। इस अवसर पर श्री मुइज्‍जू ने श्री मोदी को भारत का दूसरे सबसे लंबे कार्यकाल वाला प्रधानमंत्री बनने पर बधाई दी। श्री मुइज्‍जू ने श्री मोदी के नेतृत्व की प्रशंसा की और कहा कि दोनों देशों के बीच प्रगाढ संबंध बने रहेंगे। श्री मुइज्जू  ने कहा कि भारत लंबे समय से मालदीव का निकटतम और सबसे भरोसेमंद मित्र देश रहा है। और दोनों देशों के बीच सुरक्षा, व्‍यापार, स्‍वास्‍थ्‍य और शिक्षा के क्षेत्र में व्‍यापक सहयोग है।

India signed six Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) with the Maldives to enhance cooperation across multiple sectors following wide-ranging talks between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Maldives President Mohamed Muizzu at the President’s Office in Male yesterday. The key areas include fisheries and aquaculture, meteorology, digital public infrastructure, UPI, Indian pharmacopoeia and concessional Line of Credit. India announced a new Line of Credit of 4850 crore rupees to support the infrastructure development and other activities in the Island Nation. Both sides also announced the commencement of negotiations for the launch of a Free Trade Agreement. In a joint press statement after the talks, Prime Minister Modi said that mutual cooperation in defense and security reflects the mutual trust between the nations.

गृहमंत्री अमित शाह ने भगोड़े आतंकियों और तस्करों को वापस लाने के लिए विशेष उपाय करने के निर्देश दिए हैं। कल नई दिल्ली में दो दिन के राष्ट्रीय सुरक्षा रणनीति सम्मेलन में, उन्‍होंने केंद्र और राज्य की कानून प्रवर्तन एजेंसियों के बीच तालमेल बढ़ाने और देश के भीतर पनप रहे आतंकी तंत्र से सख्ती से निपटने पर ज़ोर दिया। श्री शाह ने आतंकियों द्वारा एन्क्रिप्टेड संदेश के दुरूपयोग का समाधान ढूंढने  के लिए सभी पक्षों को मिलकर प्रयास करने का अनुरोध किया। उन्होंने यह सुनिश्चित करने को भी कहा कि पुलिस संगठनों में केवल स्वदेशी तकनीक का ही उपयोग हो। कल इस सम्मेलन के पहले दिन, नशीले पदार्थों के कारोबार में लिप्त विदेशी शक्तियों के तार घरेलू संपर्कों से जुड़े होने और आतंकवादियों के धन के स्रोतों पर भी चर्चा हुई। सम्मेलन में देश भर के लगभग 800 अधिकारियों ने भाग लिया। आज इस सम्मेलन के दूसरे दिन नागर विमानन, बंदरगाह सुरक्षा और वामपंथी उग्रवाद पर भी चर्चा होगी।

Prime Minister Narendra Modi yesterday virtually inaugurated road and drainage System project in Addu City of Maldives. The project includes 111 km of roads, 106 km of drainage works and 160 km of street lighting. India’s Exim Bank has provided a line of credit for this project and works are carried out by the Afcons Infrastructure Limited. In an exclusive interview with Akashvani News, Afcons Infrastructure Limited’s Executive Vice President Mr. Krishnamurthy said, executing the project was an engineering feat. He added that inaccessible areas limited their use of heavy machinery, so they innovated with custom-built lifting solutions, including wheeled lifters.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be on a two-day visit to Tamil Nadu starting today. After completing his two-nation tour to the UK and Maldives, Mr Modi will travel directly to Tuticorin. The Prime Minister will inaugurate, dedicate to the nation and lay the foundation stone of various development projects worth over four thousand eight hundred crore rupees at Tuticorin tonight. Our correspondent has more details:

 

Security has been tightened around Tuticorin in view of the Prime Minister’s visit. He will inaugurate the upgraded and modernised airport at Thoothukudi which has an impressive entrance which brings back the memories of the ancient pearl diving practice and a fishermen in a boat model objectifying the rich marine resources. The project will enhance regional connectivity, boost logistics efficiency, strengthen clean energy infrastructure, and improve the quality of life for citizens across the Southern part of the State. It is to be noted that to build a strong maritime system, the Union Government has created a maritime development fund with Rs. 25,000 crore to foster private sector participation and expand maritime infrastructure which is a step towards building Atma Nirbhar Bharat. CSIR-Central Leather Research Institute (CSIR-CLRI), Adyar, Chennai, organized the One day as Scientist (ODAS) program for the entire week. दिल्‍ली–एनसीआरटीसी कारगिल

26वें कारगिल विजय दिवस के उपलक्ष्य पर राष्ट्रीय राजधानी क्षेत्र परिवहन निगम-एनसीआरटीसी ने कल सशस्त्र बलों के कारगिल वीरों को सम्मानित किया और उन्हें श्रद्धांजलि अर्पित की। इस अवसर पर आयोजित कार्यक्रम में, एनसीआरटीसी के प्रबंध निदेशक, शलभ गोयल ने कल न्यू अशोक नगर नमो भारत स्टेशन पर एक कारगिल विजय दिवस स्मारक ज़ोन का उद्घाटन किया। इस ज़ोन में विषम तापमान और दुर्गम पहाड़ियों के बीच भारत की सबसे चुनौतीपूर्ण सैन्य अभियानों में से एक, कारगिल में लड़ने वाले वीरों और उनके शौर्य और पराक्रम को दर्शाया गया है।

प्रधानमंत्री नरेन्द्र मोदी ने कल अपने कार्यकाल के चार हजार 78 दिन पूरे कर लिए हैं। उन्होंने पूर्व प्रधानमंत्री स्वर्गीय इंदिरा गांधी के लगातार कार्यकाल चार हजार 77 दिनों तक प्रधानमंत्री रहने के कीर्तिमान को पीछे छोड़ दिया है। इस मौके पर मुख्यमंत्री रेखा गुप्ता ने कहा है कि यह सिर्फ एक संख्या नहीं, बल्कि देशवासियों के विश्वास, समर्थन और लोकतंत्र की मजबूती का प्रतीक है। उन्होंने 26 मई 2014 को देश की बागडोर संभाली थी और तब से अब तक लगातार देश की सेवा कर रहे हैं। उन्होंने कहा कि प्रधानमंत्री मोदी का यह सफर सिर्फ एक व्यक्ति की उपलब्धि नहीं है बल्कि यह हर उस भारतीय की खुशी और गर्व का पल है, जो लोकतंत्र, स्थिरता और प्रगति में विश्वास रखता है।

मछली आहार खरीद

महाराष्ट्र में मत्स्य पालन क्षेत्र को मज़बूत करने के उद्देश्य से, राज्य सरकार ने शुक्रवार को मछली आहार खरीद के लिए नए दिशानिर्देशों की घोषणा की। मुंबई में एक संवाददाता सम्मेलन को संबोधित करते हुए, मत्स्य पालन और बंदरगाह मंत्री नितेश राणे ने कहा कि नए निर्देश मत्स्य पालन परियोजनाओं की दक्षता बढ़ाने और स्थानीय चारा उत्पादकों को आवश्यक प्रोत्साहन प्रदान करने के लिए तैयार किए गए हैं।

मौसम विभाग ने अपने बुलेटिन में कहा है कि पहले से ही भारी बारिश से जूझ रही मुंबई में सप्ताह के अंत में और भी भारी बारिश होने की संभावना है। मौसम एजेंसी ने आज और कल के लिए आर्थिक राजधानी और पड़ोसी ठाणे के लिए ‘ऑरेंज अलर्ट’ जारी किया है। मुंबई और आसपास के इलाकों में “भारी से बहुत भारी बारिश की चेतावनी” के बीच, मुंबई पुलिस ने नागरिकों को सलाह दी है कि जब तक बहुत ज़रूरी न हो, वे घर के अंदर ही रहें।

Principal Secretary to the Prime Minister P K Mishra has said that the Government is planning to open up the atomic energy sector like the space sector. Mr Mishra was addressing the 68th batch of scientific officers at the Bhabha Atomic Research Centre Training School in Mumbai yesterday. He said, timely completion, access to low-cost finance, and leveraging private sector capabilities are key to lowering tariffs and improving feasibility of nuclear projects. Mr. Mishra encouraged researchers to innovate in cost reduction strategies to make nuclear energy India’s preferred power source.

वासुदेव शरण अग्रवाल

तो पुण्यतिथियों के इस क्रम में आज सबसे पहला नाम है भारत के प्रसिद्ध विद्वानों में से एक रहे वासुदेव शरण अग्रवाल का जिनका (अंग्रेज़ी: Vasudev Sharan Agrawal, जन्म हुआ – 7 अगस्त, 1904, ग़ाज़ियाबाद, उत्तर प्रदेश; में और निधन – 26 जुलाई, 1966) को। वे भारत के इतिहास,संस्कृति,कला, साहित्य और प्राच्य विद्या आदि विषयों के विशेषज्ञ थे। वासुदेव शरण अग्रवाल ‘हिन्दी विश्वकोश सम्पादक मण्डल’ के प्रमुख सदस्य थे। उन्होंने मथुरा संग्रहालय (उत्तर प्रदेश) के संग्रहाध्यक्ष के रूप में अपनी सेवाएँ प्रदान की थीं। उनकी प्रसिद्ध पुस्तक ‘पाणिनिकालीन भारतवर्ष’ में भारत की संस्कृति, कला और साहित्य आदि पर प्रकाश डाला गया है। उन्हें साहित्य अकादमी द्वारा पुरस्कृत भी किया गया था। यही नहीं,वासुदेव शरण अग्रवाल ने ‘मथुरा संग्रहालय’ (उत्तर प्रदेश) के संग्रहाध्यक्ष के रूप में भी अपनी सेवाएँ प्रदान की थीं। और इनके द्वारा लिखी गयीं मुख्य रचनाओं में शामिल हैं -‘पाणिनिकालीन भारतवर्ष’, ‘मलिक मुहम्मद जायसी-पद्मावत’, और ‘हर्षचरित-एक सांस्कृतिक अध्ययन’ आदि।

Madhu SudanKanungo (1 April 1927 – 26 July 2011) was an Indianscientist in the field of gerontology and neuroscience as well as a teacher of molecular biology and biochemistry. He is known for his theories on how gene expression changes with age and the role of thisphenomenon in ageing, which is a widely accepted as “Geneexpression theory of Aging”. In recognition of his contributions, he wasawarded India’s fourth highest civilian award, Padma Shri in 2005. He has been able to identify the changesin the qualitative nature of enzymes, their modulation by various regulators,and induction and repression of their syntheses by hormones as the function of age.

और अब ज़िक्र उबैद सिद्दिकी का जिनका (अंग्रेज़ी: Obaid Siddiqi, जन्म हुआ – 7 जनवरी, 1932; और निधन – 26 जुलाई, 2013) को! उबैद सिद्दिकी भारतीय राष्ट्रीय अनुसंधान प्रोफेसर और टाटा इंस्टीट्यूट ऑफ फंडामेंटल रिसर्च के संस्थापक-निदेशक थे। उन्हें भारत सरकार द्वारा सन 1984 में विज्ञान एवं अभियांत्रिकी के क्षेत्र में पद्म भूषण से सम्मानित किया गया था। न्यूरोजेनेटिक्स के क्षेत्र में उबैद सिद्दिकी के अध्ययन ने जीन, व्यवहार और मस्तिष्क के बीच की कड़ी को उजागर किया। यानि न्यूरोजेनेटिक्स में उबैद सिद्दिकी के काम ने यह समझने में मूलभूत प्रगति की कि कैसे स्वाद और गंध का पता लगाया जाता है और मस्तिष्क में एन्कोड किया जाता है। और जहाँ तक उनको मिले पुरुस्कारों और सम्मानों की बात है तो उबैद सिद्दिकी को जिन सम्मानों से सम्मानित किया गया उनमें शामिल हैं – भटनागर पुरस्कार, 1976, पद्म भूषण, 1984, डॉ. बी. सी. रॉय पुरस्कार, 2004, बिरला स्मारक कोष राष्ट्रीय पुरस्कार, 1989, गोयल पुरस्कार, 1991,इन्सा आर्यभट्ट पदक 1992,प्राइड ऑफ इंडिया अवार्ड, एएफएमआई, यूएसए, 2004 ,पद्म विभूषण, 2006 ,और सर सैयद अहमद खान इंटरनेशनल अवार्ड फॉर लाइफ साइंसेज, 2009 आदि!

छत्रपति साहू महाराज

जयंतियों में आज सबसे पहला नाम है – छत्रपति साहू महाराज का जिन्हें भारत में सच्चे प्रजातंत्रवादी और समाज सुधारक के रूप में जाना जाता था। आपका (अंग्रेज़ी: Chhatrapati Shahu Maharaj, जन्म हुआ – 26 जुलाई, 1874; और निधन – 10 मई, 1922, मुम्बई को! वे कोल्हापुर के इतिहास में एक अमूल्य मणि के रूप में आज भी प्रसिद्ध हैं। छत्रपति साहू महाराज ऐसे व्यक्ति थे, जिन्होंने राजा होते हुए भी दलित और शोषित वर्ग के कष्ट को समझा और सदा उनसे निकटता बनाए रखी। उन्होंने दलित वर्ग के बच्चों को मुफ़्त शिक्षा प्रदान करने की प्रक्रिया शुरू की थी। ग़रीब छात्रों के छात्रावास स्थापित किये और बाहरी छात्रों को शरण प्रदान करने के आदेश दिए। साहू महाराज के शासन के दौरान ‘बाल विवाह’ पर ईमानदारी से प्रतिबंधित लगाया गया। उन्होंने अंतरजातिय विवाह और विधवा पुनर्विवाह के पक्ष में समर्थन की आवाज़ उठाई थी।

In Ladakh, as part of the 26th Kargil Vijay Diwas celebrations, a massive Padyatra was held in Drass  this morning to honor the heroes of the 1999 Kargil War. Over one thousand youth, war veterans, armed forces personnel, families of martyrs, and members of civil society participated in the patriotic tribute walk. The Padyatra was led by Union Minister for Youth Affairs & Sports and Labour & Employment, Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya, and Minister of State for Defence, Sanjay Seth.

Kargil Vijay Diwas celebrations will begin at the Kargil War Memorial in Drass this morning with the arrival of military and civilian dignitaries followed by a solemn wreath-laying ceremony to honour the brave soldiers who laid down their lives during the 1999 Kargil War. The programme will feature a special narration titled “Gaurav Gatha”, a video presentation on outreach initiatives, and visits to the Hut of Remembrance, Veer Bhoomi, and Indus View Point.
