In a social media post, Union Consumer Affairs Minister Pralhad Joshi said, such insensitivity will not be tolerated. He said, E-commerce platforms have been directed to immediately remove all such content and adhere to National laws.

The government has debunked a video being circulated over social media claiming that of an Indian Army soldier, accusing the central government of the Pahalgam terrorist attack. The Fact Check Unit of the Press Information Bureau said that the soldier seen in the video is a deserter and is not present at his duty since March this year, nor in contact with his family. The government urged people to please stay vigilant and do not fall for such videos.

As a tribute to the Armed Forces, Akashvani News brings in a special series. Today we remember, Param Vir Chakra awardee Captain Vikram Batra who made supreme sacrifice during the Kargil War.
During the Kargil War, Captain Batra’s unit was tasked with capturing Point 4875 a strategically important mountain peak in the Dras sub-sector. On the night of 7th July 1999, despite adverse weather conditions Captain Batra advanced to capture point 4875. Despite sustaining grave injuries, he crawled towards the enemy and hurled grenades clearing the position with utter disregard to his personal safety. Leading from the front, he rallied his men and pressed on the attack and achieved a near impossible military task in the face of heavy enemy fire. Captain Batra’s bravery led to India’s capture of Point 4875 but sadly he succumbed to his injuries. One of his radio message during the war, Yeh Dil Maange More later on became the catch-line for the Kargil War. The inspiring words reverberates even today.
Captain Vikram Batra’s bravery, camaraderie and devotion to his duty were extraordinary and find an exalted place in the annals of India military history. NHRC in a statement said that the films may be in English or any Indian language, with subtitles in English. In Khelo India Youth Games in Bihar the curtains will come down today.
The grand closing ceremony will be held at the Patliputra Sports Complex in Kankarbagh, Patna, at 6:30 PM. The Youth Games were commenced on 4th of this month. Maharashtra leads the medal tally with 149 medals, including 56 gold and 45 silver. Haryana made a strong showing yesterday, winning 35 gold and 26 silver to secure the second position with a total of 107 medals.
Rajasthan is in third place with 55 medals, including 22 gold.
Maharashtra, Rajasthan, and Gujarat dominated the initial days of the Khelo India Youth Games, but the final phase belonged to Haryana. Yesterday, Haryana’s athletes put on a stellar performance in weightlifting, boxing, and athletics, winning a series of medals and surpassing Rajasthan to claim the second spot. The performance of players from Manipur, Jharkhand, and Bihar was also commendable.
Manipur won seven medals in the martial art Thang-Ta. Jharkhand clinched the gold medal in the boys’ football final by defeating Odisha. Bihar’s Khushi Yadav won a gold medal in the 2000-meter steeplechase, and the state also added two gold medals in Thang-Ta, improving its position in the medal tally. The colourful closing ceremony will be attended by Union Minister of State for Youth Affairs and Sports Raksha Nikhil Khadse, Bihar’s Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary, and many other dignitaries. The Managing Director of BESCOM Dr N Sivashankar has announced that the new portal facility for the electricity consumers will improve transparency, strengthen consumer rights and improve accountability. Once the portal starts functioning the consumers can escalate their complaints to Karnataka Electricity Regulatory Commission.

महाराष्ट्र के मुख्यमंत्री देवेंद्र फडणवीस ने दहिसर ईस्ट और काशीगांव के बीच मुंबई मेट्रो लाइन 9 के पहले चरण के ट्रायल रन को हरी झंडी दिखाई। कल निरीक्षण के बाद काशीगांव में पत्रकारों से बात करते हुए, श्री फडणवीस ने कहा कि मेट्रो लाइन तकनीकी परीक्षण के अंतिम चरण में है और जल्द ही इसे यात्रियों के लिए खोल दिया जाएगा, जिससे वेस्टर्न एक्सप्रेस हाईवे पर भीड़भाड़ कम करने में महत्वपूर्ण मदद मिलेगी। मुख्यमंत्री ने बताया कि सरकार की योजना 2027 तक सभी लंबित प्रमुख मेट्रो परियोजनाओं को पूरा करने की है।

आज अंतर्राष्ट्रीय परिवार दिवस है और हर साल ये दिन 15 मई को मनाया जाता है। संयुक्त राष्ट्र महासभा ने परिवार के महत्त्व को समझते हुए 1983 में अंतरष्ट्रीय परिवार दिवस मनाने की घोषणा की। पहली बार 1994 में अंतर्राष्ट्रीय परिवार दिवस मानने की शुरुआत हुई थी। परिवार हमारी ताकत होता है ये हमें एक दूसरे के लिए प्यार करना और जीना सिखाता है।
ये परिवार सिर्फ घर में ही नहीं होता है बल्कि पूरा देश और हमारा समाज एक परिवार के रूप में रहते हैं। परिवार को लेकर सबसे बडा त्याग हमारी सशस्त्र सेनाओं के जवान करते हैं, जब हम अपने घरों में परिवार के साथ खुशियां मनाते हैं तो हमारे जवान अपने परिवार से दूर सरहदों पर हमारी रक्षा में तैनात होते हैं।
सैनिकों के हाथ में हथियार होते हैं लेकिन उनके दिल में उनका परिवार होता है और ये कहना सही होगा कि उनके लिए पूरा देश ही एक परिवार है। कई ऐसे मौके आते हैं जब इन सैनिकों को अपने घर की याद सताती है और कई ऐसे मौके भी होते हैं जब परिवार को उनकी सबसे ज्यादा जरूरत होती है लेकिन वे उनके साथ नहीं सरहदों पर होते हैं।

कोडंडेरा मडप्पा करिअप्पा (अंग्रेज़ी: Kodandera Madappa Cariappa, जन्म: 28 जनवरी, 1899 – मृत्यु: 15 मई, 1993)]
भारत के पहले ‘ कमाण्डर इन चीफ़’ कोडंडेरा मडप्पा करिअप्पा यानी के एम् करिअप्पा को भी आज हम याद कर रहे हैं जिनकी आज पुण्य तिथि है । करिअप्पा ने जनरल के रूप में 15 जनवरी, 1949 को पदभार संभाला था था। इसके बाद से ही 15 जनवरी को ‘सेना दिवस’ के रूप में मनाया जाने लगा। करिअप्पा भारत की राजपूत रेजीमेन्ट से थे। 1953 ई. में करिअप्पा सेवानिवृत्त हो गये थे, लेकिन फिर भी किसी न किसी रूप में उनका सहयोग भारतीय सेना को हमेशा मिलता रहा ।
सुखदेव (अंग्रेज़ी:Sukhdev, जन्म- 15 मई, 1907, पंजाब; शहादत- 23 मार्च, 1931, सेंट्रल जेल, लाहौर)
आज ही जयंती है देश के महान क्रन्तिकारी सुखदेव की जिन्होंने देश की आज़ादी के लिए फांसी के फंदे को गले लगाया था। उनकी गिनती देश के उन प्रसिद्ध क्रांतिकारियों और शहीदों में होती है, जिन्होंने छोटी उम्र में ही देश के लिए शहादत दी। सुखदेव , भगत सिंह और राजगुरु ये तीनों ही देशभक्त क्रांतिकारी आपस में अच्छे मित्र और देश की आजादी के लिए अपना सर्वत्र न्यौछावर कर देने वालों में से थे। 23 मार्च, 1931 को भारत के इन तीनों वीर नौजवानों को एक साथ फांसी दी गई।

In 1926, Sukhdev along with other renowned revolutionaries started the ‘Naujawan Bharat Sabha’ at Lahore to prepare the youth for the freedom struggle and end communalism. Sukhdev was at the forefront of several revolutionary activities.
In the Ludhiana district of Punjab. Sukhdev was a member of the HSRA (Hindustan Socialist Republican Association). He organized revolutionary cells in Punjab and other parts of Northern India. He also educated the youth at the National College in Lahore and inspired them about India’s glories.

इसके बाद जब ‘साइमन कमीशन’ भारत आया तो उसका तीव्र विरोध हुआ। पंजाब में इसका नेतृत्व लाला लाजपत राय कर रहे थे। लाहौर में एक विशाल जुलूस का नेतृत्व करते समय वहाँ के डिप्टी सुपरिटेन्डेन्ट स्कार्ट के कहने पर सांडर्स ने लाठीचार्ज किया, जिसमें लालाजी घायल हो गए। पंजाब में इस पर तीखी प्रतिक्रिया हुई।
8 अप्रैल, 1929 को भगत सिंह व बटुकेश्वर दत्त ने ब्रिटिश सरकार के बहरे कानों में आवाज़ पहुँचाने के लिए दिल्ली में केन्द्रीय असेम्बली में बम फेंककर धमाका किया।

महेन्द्रनाथ मुल्ला (अंग्रेज़ी: Mahendranath Mulla ; जन्म- 15 मई, 1926, गोरखपुर, उत्तर प्रदेश; मृत्यु- 9 दिसम्बर, 1971, अरब सागर, महाराष्ट्र के निकट) आज ही आज ही जयंती है महेन्द्रनाथ मुल्ला की जो भारतीय नौसेना के जांबाज ऑफ़ीसर थे ,जिन्होंने जिन्होंने देश की रक्षा करते हुए अपने जीवन का सर्वोच्च बलिदान दिया।
महेन्द्रनाथ मुल्ला भारतीय समुद्रवाहक पोत ‘आईएनएस खुखरी’ के कप्तान थे। भारत-पाकिस्तान युद्ध,1971 में पाकिस्तान की एक पनडुब्बी भारतीय जलसीमा में घूम रही थी, जिसे खोजने और नष्ट करने के लिए ‘आईएनएस खुखरी’ और ‘कृपाण’ पोतों को लगाया गया था, किंतु दुश्मन की पनडुब्बी पनडुब्बी ‘हंगोर’ ने खुखरी को निशाना बना लिया। कप्तान महेन्द्रनाथ मुल्ला ने डूबते हुए खुखरी को छोड़ने से मना कर दिया और अंत तक सैनिकों को बचाते रहे। आईएनएस खुखरी के साथ ही महेन्द्रनाथ मुल्ला ने भी जल समाधि ले ली।
