Supreme Court last night uploaded on its website an in-house inquiry report into alleged discovery of huge cash at the residence of Delhi High Court judge Yashwant Varma. The inquiry report, submitted by Delhi High Court Chief Justice DK Upadhyaya, contained information about official communications stating that four to five semi-burnt stacks of Indian currency were found. The 25-page inquiry report also included videos and photographs of the firefighting operation at Justice Varma’s residence on the night of Holi, March 14 during which the cash was recovered. As recommended in the report, Chief Justice of India justice Sanjiv Khanna has constituted a three-member in-house inquiry committee to probe the allegations against Justice Varma. CJI Khanna has also directed the Chief Justice of Delhi High Court not to assign any judicial work to Justice Varma.
In his response, Justice Varma has stated that no cash was ever placed in the storeroom either by him or any of his family members. He said the allegations of cash discovery at his residence clearly appeared to be a conspiracy to frame and malign him.

केंद्र ने पहली अप्रैल से प्याज निर्यात पर 20 प्रतिशत शुल्क वापस ले लिया है। उपभोक्ता कार्य, खाद्य और सार्वजनिक वितरण मंत्रालय के अनुसार, इससे किसानों को लाभकारी मूल्य सुनिश्चित होगा और उपभोक्ताओं के लिए प्याज की उपलब्धता भी बनी रहेगी। मंत्रालय ने कहा कि रबी फसलों के अधिक उत्पादन की संभावना के बाद थोक और खुदरा कीमतों में कमी आई है। अनुमान के अनुसार, रबी मौसम में प्याज सहित अन्य फसलों के अधिक उत्पादन से आने वाले महीनों में बाजार मूल्यों में और कमी आने की संभावना है। घरेलू उपलब्धता सुनिश्चित करने के लिए पिछले वर्ष 13 सितंबर से 20 प्रतिशत का निर्यात शुल्क लागू किया गया था।

India has sent humanitarian assistance to Botswana in the wake of floods in the country. External Affairs Ministry said in a social media post that the first tranche of around 10 tons of assistance comprising essential medicines, surgical supplies, mosquito nets, and water purifiers was dispatched for Botswana.
Meanwhile, humanitarian assistance has also been sent to Kiribati to help strengthen the healthcare system of the country.

Karnataka Industries Minister M B Patil has informed that two locations are identified for the second international Greenfield airport for Bengaluru. The two locations are on Kanakapura Road and on the Nelamangala Kunigal Road. The Karnataka State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation has paid a fee of 1.21 crore rupees to the Airport Authority of India to inspect these two locations and suggest their suitability. The multidisciplinary team of AAI will visit these two locations between April 7 and 9th. The minister informed that the department has prepared documents including the revenue map of the locations, geographic features, maps from the Survey of India and the operational details of the proposed airport as sought by the Authority. .

Union Coal Mines Minister and Telangana State BJP president G Kishan Reddy has dismissed the opposition parties’ meeting in Chennai on delimitation as baseless political gimmick aimed at creating unnecessary panic among the public. Mr Reddy said the Centre has already clarified that the procedures and regulations for delimitation have not yet been finalised. The meeting was attended by Congress, BRS, DMK and Communists.
Mr Reddy said this only exposes their political desperation.
The minister further alleged the opposition parties of spreading misinformation about the BJP to divert attention from their own corruption.

मुंबई क्राइम ब्रांच के एक अधिकारी ने कल बताया कि 2025-26 के लिए एमबीए-सीईटी प्रवेश प्रक्रिया से संबंधित धोखाधड़ी गतिविधियों में कथित रूप से शामिल होने के आरोप में दिल्ली से दो बीटेक छात्रों सहित चार लोगों को गिरफ्तार किया गया है। उन्हें मंगलवार को आजाद मैदान पुलिस स्टेशन में दर्ज एक मामले में गिरफ्तार किया गया। आरोपी collegeinside.org नामक एक वेबसाइट संचालित करते थे। उन्होंने कथित तौर पर छात्रों को विशिष्ट परीक्षा केंद्र चुनने के लिए राजी किया ताकि वे अल्ट्राव्यूअर सॉफ़्टवेयर का उपयोग करके दूरस्थ रूप से कंप्यूटर तक पहुँच सकें और अंकों में हेरफेर कर सकें। आरोपियों ने दावा किया कि उन्होंने तमिलनाडु के एक प्रसिद्ध प्रौद्योगिकी विश्वविद्यालय में इस धोखाधड़ी को अंजाम दिया है। उन्होंने छात्रों से ₹15-20 लाख की माँग की। आगे की जाँच जारी है।

आज हम नमन कर रहे हैं – तीन महान राष्ट्र नायकों – भगत सिंह, सुखदेव और राजगुरु का। 1931 का यह दिन जब भी याद आता है हम सभी भारतीयों के आंखों से अश्रु छलक पडते हैं। श्रोताओं 23 मार्च 1931 की जो घटना हमें रूलाती है उसने उस दौर के भारत में क्रांति की ज्वाला भडका दी थी। महान शहीद भगत सिंह, सुखदेव और राजगुरु ने देश के हर जन-गण में स्वाधीनता की अग्नि जलाकर उसमें स्वयं को तपाकर देश के लिए जो किया वह श्रद्धा से भर देता हैं। हम उन्हें श्रद्धा सुमन अर्पित करते हैं। सुप्रसिद्ध कवियत्री सुभद्रा कुमारी चौहान ने ऐसी वीरताओं को समर्पित की हैं कुछ पंक्तियां।

भगत सिंह, राजगुरु और सुखदेव ऐसे देशभक्त जो भारत की स्वाधीनता की वेदी पर खुद को आहूत कर राष्ट्रभक्ति और राष्ट्र के प्रति समर्पण का पर्याय बन गए। इन वीरों ने क्रांति की अलख जगाने के लिए अपने अंजाम की परवाह किए बिना जो किया उसने देश के युवाओं को उसी राह पर चलने के लिए प्रेरित किया। यह दिन वीर शहीदों के उस भाव को नमन करने का दिन है जिसने भगत सिंह, सुखदेव, राजगुरु और अन्यान्य वीरों को देश के लिए अपने को अपर्ति कर देने के लिए प्रेरित कर दिया।

ऐसे वीरों को हमारी सच्ची श्र्द्धांजलि होगी कि हम उनके सपनों को साकार करने में मां भारती के गौरव को उत्कर्ष देने में अपना योगदान कर सकें इन वीरों के भावों को अगर शब्द दिया जाये तो वे कहते हैं – हे मातृभूमि तेरे चरणों में सिर नवाऊँ, मैं भक्ति भेंट अपनी, तेरी शरण में लाऊँ माथे पे तू हो चंदन, छाती पे तू हो माला, जिह्वा पे गीत तू हो, तेरा ही नाम गाऊँ जिससे सपूत उपजें, श्री राम-कृष्ण जैसे; उस धूल को मैं तेरी निज शीश पे चढ़ाऊँ माई ! समुद्र जिसकी पद रज को नित्य धोकर,करता प्रणाम तुझको, मैं वे चरण दबाऊँ सेवा में तेरी माता ! मैं भेदभाव तजकर, वह पुण्य नाम तेरा, प्रतिदिन सुनूं -सुनाऊँ तेरे ही काम आऊँ, तेरा ही मंत्र गाऊँ, मन और देह तुम पर बलिदान मैं जाऊँ

1928 में साइमन कमीशन के बहिष्कार के लिये उग्र प्रदर्शन हुए। इन प्रदर्शनों में भाग लेने वालों पर अंग्रेजी शासन ने लाठी चार्ज किया। इसी लाठी चार्ज में लाला लाजपत राय की मृत्यु हो गयी। अब इनसे रहा न गया। एक गुप्त योजना के तहत इन्होंने पुलिस सुपरिण्टेण्डेण्ट को मारने की योजना बनाई।
17 दिसंबर 1928 को करीब सवा चार बजे, ए० एस० पी० सॉण्डर्स के आते ही राजगुरु ने एक गोली सीधी उसके सर में मारी जिसके तुरन्त बाद वह होश खो बैठा। इसके बाद भगत सिंह ने 3-4 गोली दाग कर उसके मरने का पूरा इन्तज़ाम कर दिया।
