झारखंड विधानसभा चुनाव के पहले चरण में आज 15 जिलों की 43 सीटों पर कड़ी सुरक्षा व्यवस्था के बीच मतदान होगा। 31 सीटों के नौ सौ पचास संवेदनशील बूथों को छोड़कर अन्य सभी जगहों पर मतदान सुबह 7 बजे से शुरू होकर शाम 5 बजे खत्म होगा जबकि संवेदनशील बूथों पर मतदान शाम 4 बजे तक होगा। इस चरण में एक करोड़ 37 लाख से अधिक मतदाता 73 महिलाओं समेत छह सौ 83 उम्मीदवारों के राजनीतिक भाग्य का फैसला करेंगे। मुख्य निर्वाचन अधिकारी के. रवि कुमार ने मतदाताओं से निडर होकर मतदान करने की अपील की है।
स्वतंत्र और निष्पक्ष चुनाव सुनिश्चित करने के लिए सुरक्षा के व्यापक प्रबंध किए गए हैं। राज्य में केंद्रीय अर्धसैनिक बलों की दो सौ कंपनियां तैनात की गई हैं। अंतर-जिला सीमाएं सील कर दी गई हैं।

Voting for the by-polls in 31 Assembly consituencies across 10 states, and Wayanad parliamentary seat in Kerala will also take place today. These include seven seats in Rajasthan, Six in West Bengal, five seats in Assam, four in Bihar, three seats in Karnataka, and two each in Madhya Pradesh and Sikkim. प्रधानमंत्री नरेन्‍द्र मोदी आज बिहार के दरभंगा का दौरा करेंगे। वे राज्‍य में 12 हजार करोड रुपये से अधिक लागत की कई विकास परियोजनाओं का शिलान्‍यास और लोकार्पण करेंगे। क्षेत्र में स्‍वास्‍थ्‍य सुविधाओं को मजबूती प्रदान करने के लिए प्रधानमंत्री दरभंगा में अखिल भारतीय आयुर्विज्ञान संस्‍थान-एम्‍स की आधारशिला रखेंगे। इसका निर्माण 12 अरब 60 करोड रुपये की लागत से किया जाएगा। इससे मिथिलांचल क्षेत्र के लोगों की आकांक्षाएं पूरी होंगी। जनता दल यूनाइटिड की राष्‍ट्रीय कार्यकारिणी के अध्‍यक्ष संजय झा ने कहा कि यह संस्‍थान उत्तरी बिहार के लिए वरदान सिद्ध होगा।

India’s Renewable Energy sector has achieved significant growth from October last year to October this year. According to the latest data by the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy, India’s total renewable energy installed capacity increased by a staggering 13.5 percent to 24.2 gigawatts in a year, reaching 203.18 gigawatts in October 2024 from 178.98 GW in October 2023.  This significant rise aligns with India’s ambitious targets in the field of renewable energy.

The year 2024 is on track to be the warmest year on record after an extended streak of exceptionally high monthly global mean temperatures. A report released by the World Meteorological Organization, during the ongoing session of the Conference of the Parties, COP-29 said that the ambitions of the Paris Agreement are “in great peril. The Paris Agreement aims to keep the long-term global average surface temperature increase to well below two degrees above pre-industrial levels and pursue efforts to limit the warming to 1.5 degrees.
According to analysis of six international datasets used by WMO, the January to September global mean surface air temperature was 1.54 degrees Celsius above the pre-industrial average, boosted by a warming El Nino event.

In Badminton, India’s two-time Olympic medallist PV Sindhu and Paris Olympics semi-finalist Lakshya Sen will play their first-round matches of the Kumamoto Masters Japan 2024 tournament at Kumamoto today. Sindhu will lock horns with Busanan Ongbamrungphan of Thailand in the women’s singles first round. While Sen will compete against Leong Jun Hao of Malayasia in the men’s singles round of 32.
Earlier, Commonwealth Games bronze medallists Treesa Jolly and Gayatri Gopichand lost their opening match in the women’s doubles event. Treesa and Gayatri, 20th in the badminton rankings, went down to Chinese Taipei’s world No. 29 pair of Lin Jhih Yun-Hsu Yin Hui, 16-21, 16-21 in the round of 32.

Southern Railways have decided to double the coaches of Vande Bharat train between Chennai  and Tirunelveli via Madurai from eight to 16. The Southern Railway have initiated expansion and safety checks to support the increase, which will boost the passenger capacity per trip from 530 to 1228.

The NIA Special Court in Chennai on Monday awarded five years rigorous imprisonment to a Hizb-Ut-Tahrir member for spreading extremist ideologies. The Court imposed a penalty of Rs. 10 thousand on the convict, identified as Abdullah alias Saravana Kumar. NIA’s probe established that the accused had sought affiliation with the banned group to advance its agenda. Investigations have revealed that in 2021, Abdullah made two posts on his Facebook profile aimed at undermining India’s sovereignty and territorial unity.

Union Minister for Heavy Industries and Steel H D Kumaraswamy has said that the health sector in the country has witnessed a major revolution under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He was speaking in Bengaluru yesterday during the graduation ceremony in a private medical college. The Union Minister said that the quality healthcare services are now available to the common man at affordable rates. He noted that the Ayushman Bharat scheme is the largest healthcare program in the world covering 500 million people in the country. He said, the Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana, PM Atmanirbhar Swasth Bharat Yojana, Digital Health Mission, Mission Indradhanush and the network of Jan Aushadhi Centres across the country have brought relief to the people.

In Telangana, dozens of villagers of Lagacharla in Vikarabad district have been detained yesterday for allegedly attacking government officials during a protest against acquisition of land for a pharmaceutical project. The protest took place a day before in Lagacharla village, which falls under Kodangal assembly segment represented by Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy. Four officials, including a Deputy Superintendent of Police, sustained injuries after villagers attacked them with sticks and threw stones at them. The incident took place when a team of officials, led by Collector Prateek Jain, visited the village to seek the locals’ opinion on the proposed land acquisition for the pharma project.

South Central Railway General Manager Arun Kumar Jain has instructed the officials to ensure safety and punctuality of train operations with the help of fog safety devices during winter season. He reviewed the stock position of fog safety devices over the zone and instructed the officials to ensure sufficient stocks in view of the ensuing foggy weather conditions. He also advised the officials to enhance surprise safety inspections to ensure observance of safety guidelines and safe working practices.

दिल्ली में वायु प्रदूषण कम करने को लेकर दिल्ली सरकार ने रात्रि सुरक्षा कर्मियों को शीतकालीन एक्शन प्लान के अंतर्गत इलेक्ट्रिक हिटर वितरित कर, अभियान शुरू किया है। दिल्ली के पर्यावरण मंत्री गोपाल राय ने कहा कि सभी सरकारी विभाग को आदेश दिया गया है कि वे भी अपने-अपने यहां रात्रि शिफ्ट में काम करने वालें कर्मचारियों को हीटर उपलब्ध करवाए। श्री राय ने कहा कि दिल्ली की जनता के सहयोग से और सरकार द्वारा उठाये गए कदम से दिल्ली में प्रदूषण कम करने के लिए जितने भी अभियान चलाएं जा रहे हैं उसमें उन्हें सफलता मिल रही है।

दिल्‍ली विकास प्राधिकरण यमुना के वासुदेव घाट पर आज दीपोत्‍सव पर्व आयोजन करेगा। इसमें पहली बार साढे तीन लाख से अधिक दीप प्रज्‍वलित किए जाएंगे। इस कार्यक्रम के मुख्‍य अतिथि राजधानी के उपराज्‍यपाल विनय कुमार सक्‍सेना होंगे और इसकी शुरुआत शाम साढे पांच बजे होगी।

दिल्ली हाट में कल से शिल्प समागम मेला 2024 शुरू हो गया है। इस मेले का आयोजन केंद्रीय सामाजिक न्याय और अधिकारिता मंत्रालय कर रहा है। यह मेला 15 नवम्‍बर तक रहेगा। शिल्प समागम मेला 2024 भारत की समृद्ध सांस्कृतिक विविधता का उदाहरण है, जिसमें 16 राज्यों के कारीगरों ने 105 स्टालों को लगाया है। प्रत्येक स्टॉल अद्वितीय और पारंपरिक हस्तशिल्प कला का प्रदर्शन करता है जो उनकी क्षेत्रीय विरासत को दर्शाता है। धातु शिल्प, लकड़ी की कलाकृतियाँ, बेंत और बांस के उत्पाद, मिट्टी के बर्तन, वस्त्र के माध्यम से, मेला न केवल भारत की विविध कलात्मक परंपराओं को उजागर करता है, बल्कि सभी पृष्ठभूमि और क्षेत्रों के कारीगरों को एक साझा मंच प्रदान करके एकता की भावना को भी बढ़ावा देता है।

कोलाबा निर्वाचन क्षेत्र के मतदाताओं से अपील करते हुए अतिरिक्त मुख्य चुनाव अधिकारी डॉ किरण कुलकर्णी ने उनसे लोकतंत्र के उत्सव में भाग लेने और जिम्मेदार नागरिक के रूप में अपना कर्तव्य निभाते हुए मतदान का प्रतिशत बढ़ाने में मदद करने का आग्रह किया। मतदान प्रक्रिया को सुविधाजनक बनाने के लिए चुनाव आयोग ने मतदाताओं को कई सुविधाएं प्रदान की हैं। मतदाताओं के लिए नाम और मतदान केंद्र ढूंढना आसान बनाने के लिए मतदाता सूची वेबसाइट के साथ-साथ मतदाता ऐप पर भी उपलब्ध है। चुनाव आयोग ने एक हजार एक सौ पचासी मतदान केंद्रों की व्यवस्था की है।

महाराष्ट्र विधानसभा चुनाव के लिए सी-विजिल ऐप पर 15 अक्टूबर से 12 नवंबर 2024 के बीच राज्य भर में कुल पांच हजार दो सौ छियासी  शिकायतें प्राप्त हुईं। मुख्य निर्वाचन अधिकारी कार्यालय द्वारा दी गई जानकारी के अनुसार, इनमें से पांच हजार दो सौ तीस शिकायतों का चुनाव आयोग द्वारा समाधान किया गया है। सी-विजिल ऐप के ज़रिए नागरिक आदर्श आचार संहिता के उल्लंघन से जुड़ी शिकायतें दर्ज करा सकते हैं। इस ऐप को किसी भी ऐप स्टोर से डाउनलोड किया जा सकता है। शिकायत दर्ज होने के बाद संबंधित टीम जांच कर उचित कार्रवाई करती है।

 मध्य रेलवे के महाप्रबंधक धर्मवीर मीना ने कल छत्रपति शिवाजी महाराज टर्मिनस मुंबई में आयोजित एक समारोह में मध्य रेलवे के 12 कर्मचारियों को सुरक्षा पुरस्कार से सम्मानित किया। यह पुरस्कार ड्यूटी के दौरान उनकी सतर्कता, अप्रिय घटनाओं को रोकने में उनके योगदान और पिछले महीनों के दौरान ट्रेन संचालन में सुरक्षा सुनिश्चित करने के लिए दिए गए। पुरस्कार में एक पदक, प्रशस्ति पत्र और दो हजार रुपये की नकद राशि शामिल है।

कलकत्ता उच्च न्यायालय ने वर्ष 2009 में 15 वर्ष से अधिक पुरानी बसों को न चलाने का आदेश दिया था। इस आदेश के अनुसार इस महीने के अंत में राज्‍य में कई बसें सड़कों से नदारद हो जाएंगी। बस मालिकों के संगठनों के संयुक्त मंच, संयुक्त परिषद बस सिंडिकेट ने कहा है कि कोविड काल में बसें सड़कों पर नहीं चलीं। इस स्थिति को देखते हुए उन्होंने दो साल की रियायत की मांग की है और न्यायालय में अपील की है। उच्च न्यायालय ने राज्य सरकार को जवाब देने के लिए चार सप्ताह का समय दिया है। बस मालिकों ने इस मामले में मुख्यमंत्री ममता बनर्जी से तत्काल हस्तक्षेप करने का आग्रह किया है।

वहीं, जॉय सिटी कोलकाता में आसमान साफ रहेगा। न्यूनतम तापमान 22 और अधिकतम तापमान 31 डिग्री सेल्सियस के बीच रहने की संभावना है।

दाटला वेंकट सूर्यनारायण राजू जन्म- (13 दिसम्बर, 1928; मृत्यु- 13 नवम्बर, 2010)  आज पुण्‍यतिथि है फिल्‍म निर्माता- दाटला वेंकट सूर्यनारायण राजू की।  जो तेलुगु सिनेमा और बॉलीवुड में अपने काम के लिए जाने जाते थे। उन्होंने तेलुगु फिल्म उद्योग को चेन्नई से हैदराबाद स्थानांतरित करने में महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका निभाई थी। उन्हें भारतीय सिनेमा में उनके योगदान के लिए ‘रघुपति वेंकैया पुरस्कार’, ‘भीष्म पुरस्कार’ और 2001 में पद्म श्री से सम्मानित किया गया।

डी. वी. एस. राजू का जन्म 13 दिसंबर, 1928 को आंध्र प्रदेश में हुआ था। उन्‍होंने 1950 में डी. वी. एस. प्रोडक्शंस बैनर की स्थापना की।
डी. वी. एस. राजू ने एन. टी. रामाराव अभिनीत कुछ लोकप्रिय फिल्मों का निर्माण किया, जैसे- पिदुगु रामुडु, चिन्नानाती स्नेहिथुलु आदि। उनकी कुछ प्रसिद्ध फिल्में जीवना नौका, जीवन ज्योति, चाणक्य सपधाम, पिची पुलैया हैं। ‘जीवन ज्योति’ ने ‘नंदी पुरस्कार’ जीता था।

गुलाम याज़दानी (अंग्रेज़ी: Ghulam Yazdani, जन्म- 22 मार्च, 1885; मृत्यु- 13 नवंबर, 1962, दिल्ली) आज ही पुण्‍यतिथि है गुलाम याज़दानी की जो पुरातत्‍व वैज्ञानिक थे। हैदराबाद राज्य में वह एक विशेष विभाग के संस्थापक थे। सन 1959 में गुलाम याज़दानी को विज्ञान एवं अभियांत्रिकी के क्षेत्र में योगदान के लिये ‘पद्म भूषण’ से सम्मानित किया गया था।

Maharaja Ranjit Singh (13 November 1780 – 27 June 1839) was the founder and first maharaja of the Sikh Empire, ruling from 1801 until his death in 1839. He ruled the northwest Indian subcontinent in the early half of the 19th century. He survived smallpox in infancy but lost sight in his left eye. He fought his first battle alongside his father at age 10.
After his father died around Ranjit’s early teenage years, Ranjit subsequently fought several wars to expel the Afghans throughout his teenage years. At the age of 21, he was proclaimed the “Maharaja of Punjab”.[3][4] His empire grew in the Punjab region under his leadership through 1839.
Before his rise, the Punjab region had numerous warring misls (confederacies), twelve of which were under Sikh rulers and one Muslim. Ranjit Singh successfully absorbed and united the Sikh misls and took over other local kingdoms to create the Sikh Empire. गुरु नानक के एक वंशज ने उनकी ताजपोशी संपन्न कराई थी। उन्होंने लाहौर को अपनी राजधानी बनाया और 1802 में अमृतसर की ओर रुख़ किया। ब्रिटिश इतिहासकार जे. टी. व्हीलर के अनुसार “अगर वह एक पीढ़ी पुराने होते, तो पूरे हिंदूस्तान को ही फ़तेह कर लेते।” महाराजा रणजीत सिंह पढ़े-लिखे नहीं थे, लेकिन उन्होंने अपने राज्य में शिक्षा और कला को बहुत प्रोत्साहन दिया। महाराजा रणजीत सिंह पंजाब के सिक्ख राज्य के संस्थापक और महाराज (1801-1839 ई.) थे। Ranjit Singh’s reign introduced reforms, modernisation, investment in infrastructure and general prosperity. His Khalsa army and government included Sikhs, Hindus, Muslims and Europeans. His legacy includes a period of Sikh cultural and artistic renaissance, including the rebuilding of the Harmandir Sahib in Amritsar as well as other major gurdwaras, including Takht Sri Patna Sahib, Bihar and Hazur Sahib Nanded, Maharashtra under his sponsorship. Ranjit Singh was succeeded by his son Kharak Singh. Ranjit Singh also founded the Order of the Propitious Star of Punjab in 1837. Singh is known by several titles such as Sher-e-Punjab (“Lion of Punjab”) and Sarkar-e Wallah (Head of Government).

गजानन माधव ‘मुक्तिबोध’ (अंग्रेज़ी: Gajanan Madhav Muktibodh, जन्म: 13 नवंबर, 1917 – मृत्यु: 11 सितंबर, 1964) आज हम याद कर रहे हैं हिंदी साहित्‍य के प्रगतिशील कवि गजानन माधव ‘मुक्तिबोध’ को, जिनकी आज जयंती है। इनका जन्म 13 नवंबर, 1917 को श्यौपुर, मध्‍य प्रदेश में हुआ था। इनकी आरम्भिक शिक्षा उज्जैन में हुई। हिन्दी साहित्य में सर्वाधिक चर्चा के केन्द्र में रहने वाले मुक्तिबोध कहानीकार भी थे और समीक्षक भी। उन्हें प्रगतिशील कविता और नयी कविता के बीच का एक सेतु भी माना जाता है।
मुक्तिबोध हिंदी के अतिविशिष्ट रचनाकार हैं। उन्हें उम्र ज़रूर कम मिली, पर कविता, कहानी और आलोचना में उन्होंने युग बदल देने वाला काम किया। पहली बार वह व्यवस्थित रूप में ‘अज्ञेय’ द्वारा संपादित ‘तार सप्तक’ में अपनी कविताओं के साथ उपस्थित हुए। यह बेहद दुर्भाग्यपूर्ण था कि उनके जीवनकाल में उनकी कविता की कोई किताब नहीं प्रकाशित हो पाई। उनके जीवित रहते उनकी सिर्फ़ एक किताब छपी, यह थी ‘एक साहित्यिक की डायरी।’ इसके बावज़ूद बाद में वे ऐसे विलक्षण रचनाकार साबित हुए जिनके लिखे की
गूँज परवर्ती कविता, विचार, आलोचना या कहानी सबमें बढ़ती ही चली गई।

आवाज़ पैरों की देती है सुनाई

Pulapaka Suseela (born 13 November 1935) is an Indian playback singer from Andhra Pradesh associated with the South Indian cinema for over six decades and is referred to as the “Evergreen Nightingale of Indian cinema”. She is one of the greatest and best-known playback singers in India. She has been recognized by the Guinness Book of World Records as well as by the Asia Book of Records for performing a record number of songs in different Indian languages.[1] She is also the recipient of five National Film Award for Best Female Playback Singer and numerous state awards.[2][3] Susheela is widely acclaimed as a singer who defined feminism[4] in South Indian cinema and is well known for her mellifluous[5][6] vocal performances[7] for over 50,000 (counted as per records) film and devotional songs[8] across South Indian languages.

जूही चावला

आज जन्‍मदिन है शोक, चुलबुली हंसमुख, मगर शांत अभिनेत्री, मॉडल और फिल्‍म निर्माता जूही चावला का।  जन्म 13 नवंबर 1967 को लुधियाना, पंजाब में हुआ। उन्होंने फोर्ट कॉन्वेंट स्कूल, मुंबई से अपनी स्कूली शिक्षा पूरी की, और एच.आर. में विशेषज्ञता के साथ मुंबई के कॉलेज से स्नातक की डिग्री हासिल की है। 1984 मिस इंडिया का खिताब जीता। जूही चावला ने हिन्‍दी फिल्‍मों के अलावा, बांगला, पंजाबी, मलयालम, तमिल, कन्नड़ और तेलुगु भाषा फिल्मों में काम किया है। जूही चावला की कॉमेडी टाइमिंग गजब की है।
उनकी पहली फिल्‍म सल्‍तनत थी, जो ज्‍यादा नहीं चली, लेकिन 1988 में आई कयामत से कयामत तक, सुपर डुपर हिट रही। इसके अलावा, ‘तुम मेरे हो’, ‘दौलत की जंग’, ‘डर’, ‘हम हैं राही प्यार के’, ‘राम जाने’ और ‘दिल है हिंदुस्तानी’, ईश्‍क जैसी फिल्मों में काम किया और अपनी पहचान बनाई। लेकिन जूही को असल फेम फिल्म ‘कयामत से कयामत तक’ से मिला। एक्ट्रेस ने अपने फिल्मी करियर में 2 फिल्मफेयर अवॉर्ड अपने नाम किए।
