हरियाणा विधानसभा चुनाव के लिए कल लगभग 67 प्रतिशत मतदान हुआ। राज्य विधानसभा की सभी 90 सीटों के लिए एक ही चरण में हुआ मतदान काफी हद तक शांतिपूर्ण रहा। सौ वर्ष से अधिक उम्र के कई लोगों ने भी मतदान में उत्साहपूर्वक भागीदारी की। पहली बार, इस चुनाव में दिव्‍यांग और 85 वर्ष से अधिक के नागरिकों को घर से ही मतदान की सुविधा दी गई।

हरियाणा के साथ जम्मू-कश्मीर विधानसभा चुनाव की मतगणना भी मंगलवार को होगी।

Indian Air Force will conduct a mega airshow at Marina Beach in Chennai today. The airshow is a prelude to the celebration of the 92nd Annual Airforce Day. The aerobatics show with 72 aircrafts is likely to draw 15 lakh spectators aiming to create a record in the Limca Record Book this year. Fighter jets including Tejas, Mirage, Sukhoi 30 MKI, Jaguar and Poseidon aircrafts and latest Prachand helicopter will take part in the thrilling airshow.

वित्त मंत्री निर्मला सीतारामन ने बहुपक्षीय विकास बैंकों की मज़बूती के लिए जी-20 विशेषज्ञ समूह की 30 में से 27 सिफारिशों पर विचार के लिए विश्व बैंक की सराहना की है। कल प्रोफेसर निक स्टर्न के साथ नई दिल्ली में चर्चा में उन्होंने कहा कि विकसित देशों द्वारा विकासशील देशों को धन उपलब्ध कराया जाना और प्रौद्योगिकी हस्तांतरण जलवायु परिवर्तन पर ठोस कार्रवाई के लिए ज़रूरी हैं। प्रोफेसर स्टर्न बहुपक्षीय विकास बैंकों के सुदृढीकरण के लिए जी-20 की भारत की अध्‍यक्षता के दौरान गठित विशेषज्ञ समूह के सदस्य हैं।

प्रो. स्टर्न ने जी-20 की अध्‍यक्षता के दौरान अत्यन्त पिछड़े देशों यानी ग्लोबल साउथ की आवाज बुलंद करने में भारत की भूमिका की सराहना की।

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has carried out searches at multiple raids in connection with an ongoing investigation into a terror financing case involving Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM). The raids were conducted across five states and Union Territories, including Jammu and Kashmir, Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, Assam, and Delhi, covering 26 locations yesterday. The NIA  searched premises in Meerut and Saharanpur in UP; Goalpara in Assam; Aurangabad, Jalna, and Malegaon in Maharashtra;   Baramulla, Pulwama, and Ramban in Jammu and Kashmir and Delhi.

During the searches, NIA teams seized several incriminating documents, electronic devices, pamphlets, and magazines. These are being examined for further leads and evidence against the suspects whose premises were searched yesterday. The suspects were engaged in radicalising individuals and disseminating terrorist related propaganda. They also radicalised and recruited youth into the Jamaat outfit, inspired by JeM. The suspects also motivated youth to commit terror attacks across India, as revealed by NIA investigations.

केंद्रीय मंत्रिमंडल ने पांच भारतीय भाषाओं को शास्त्रीय भाषा का दर्जा दिए जाने को मंज़ूरी दे दी है। इनमें पाली, प्राकृत, असमी, बंगाली और मराठी भाषाएं शामिल हैं। भारतीय भाषा समिति के अध्यक्ष चामू कृष्ण शास्त्री ने आकाशवाणी को बताया कि सरकार का यह निर्णय ऐतिहासिक है। उन्होंने कहा कि इस निर्णय से युवाओं के लिए इन भाषाओं के साहित्य को समझना आसान होगा।

During his visit, the minister will attend the two-day Hamburg Sustainability Conference. प्रधानमंत्री नरेन्द्र मोदी की सागर और पड़ोसी प्रथम नीति के लिए मालदीव हिंद महासागर का एक महत्वपूर्ण देश है। सागर कार्यक्रम हिंद महासागर क्षेत्र की सुरक्षा और समृद्धि के लिए बनाया गया है। विदेश मंत्री ने हाल ही में मालदीव का दौरा किया था।

CHENNAI METRO

Education in Ireland, the national brand representing Ireland’s top higher educational institutions, will conduct an education fair in Chennai today.  With 8000 Indian students choosing Ireland as their study destination in 2023, this year’s fair is expected to attract more interest in Irish institutions. This event will offer students and parents the opportunity to engage with representatives from 18 leading Irish institutions. Apart from Chennai, the fair will be held in Delhi, Pune, Mumbai and Bengaluru. Participants will be able to gain comprehensive information on courses and post study work opportunities. Additionally there will also be a seminar conducted on the study visa application process presented by the Irish Visa Office in all five cities.

The Directorate of Revenue intelligence sleuths have seized 110 kg of controlled substance Pseudoephedrine worth  110 Crore rupees from Chennai Port and arrested two shipping agents for their role in the bid to smuggle it abroad. The drug had been hidden inside quartz powder bags in a container and destined for Australia. Based on the information that synthetic drugs were being smuggled abroad, the sleuths rushed to Chennai port on Wednesday and searched a container. They seized 110 bags which had been declared as quartz powder. However each bag had another package inside.

BENGALURU METRO  

Karnataka Revenue minister Krishna Byre Gowda held a video conference with all the Tehsildars and Assistant Commissioners of the State from Bengaluru. He set a two months deadline for the Tehsildars to dispose of  Bagair Hukum applications and allot title deeds to the eligible farmers. After which he cautioned them that legal action will be taken against them. Bagair Hukum is a Persian word which means those who hold land without proper title deeds. The minister said that 14 lakh applications for regularising Bagair Hukum land are received by the Revenue department. The Officials were directed by the minister to promptly reject ineligible applications and prioritise granting land to the eligible ones in October and November. He said a review meeting on the issue will again be held at the end of this month. He appreciated the Tahsildar of Gundlupet Taluk where 15 eligible beneficiaries were identified and granted land.

Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy has said the government was ready to spend even 10 thousand crore rupees to help the displaced poor along the Musi River and asked the people not to get carried away by the Opposition parties. He said the government is committed to providing better living conditions to those who are living on the Full Tank Level and the Buffer Zone of Musi River and the government has a clear policy to develop Hyderabad as a world-class city.  Speaking at the 95th birth anniversary celebrations of former Union Minister G. Venkataswamy in Hyderabad yesterday, he said if required, the government is ready to construct houses at Malakpet Race Course and Amberpet Police Academy in Hyderabad for the poor.

दिल्ली के कनॉट प्लेस स्थित ‘खादी भवन’ स्टोर में एक दिन में सबसे अधिक बिक्री का रिकॉर्ड दर्ज किया गया है। हमारे संवाददाता ने बताया है कि दो अक्तूबर को गांधी जयंती के अवसर पर इस स्टोर पर सर्वाधिक दो करोड़ रुपये से अधिक के खादी और ग्रामोद्योग उत्पादों की बिक्री हुई है। खादी और ग्रामोद्योग आयोग के अध्यक्ष मनोज कुमार ने खादी उत्पादों के बढ़ते चलन का श्रेय प्रधानमंत्री मोदी के द्वारा खादी उत्पादों के उपयोग को बढ़ावा दिए जाने और उनके नेतृत्व में बीते 10 वर्षों से जारी चरखा क्रांति को दिया है। प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी और केंद्रीय गृहमंत्री अमित शाह ने खादी की बिक्री के नए रिकॉर्ड को एक उत्साहजनक उपलब्धि बताया। श्री मोदी ने एक सोशल मीडिया पोस्ट में देशवासियों के बीच स्वदेशी के प्रति तेजी से बढ़ते रुझान को रेखांकित करते हुए बताया कि खादी इंडिया ने रिकॉर्ड बिक्री हासिल की है।

दक्षिणी दिल्‍ली से भाजपा सांसद रामवीर सिंह बिधूडी ने कल राजधानी के जौनापुर क्षेत्र में आयोजित एक कार्यक्रम में दो सौ पचास कामकाजी महिलाओं को बीस-बीस हजार रुपये के चैक वितरित किए। इस कार्यक्रम का आयोजन दो गैर-सरकारी संस्थाओं द्वारा किया गया। इस अवसर पर श्री बिधूडी ने कहा कि कामकाजी महिलाओं को स्‍वावलम्‍बी बनाने की दिशा में उन्हें लघु ऋण प्रदान करना एक महत्वपूर्ण कदम है। उन्होंने बताया कि इन संस्थाओं के माध्यम से अभी तक दिल्‍ली की 42 हजार महिलाएं आत्मनिर्भर बनकर लघु उद्योग चला रही हैं।

महाराष्ट्र सरकार ने पेसा अधिनियम के तहत 17 संवर्गों के लिए चयन प्रक्रिया में सफलतापूर्वक उत्तीर्ण उम्मीदवारों को पारिश्रमिक के आधार पर नियुक्त करने का आदेश जारी किया है। इस भर्ती में लगभग 7 हजार नियुक्तियां की जाएंगी जिनमें शिक्षक, तलाठी, ग्राम सेवक, आंगनवाड़ी पर्यवेक्षक, कृषि सहायक और स्वास्थ्य कार्यकर्ता जैसे पद शामिल हैं। इन नियुक्तियों को उनके शुरुआती वेतन के बराबर पारिश्रमिक मिलेगा।

महाराष्ट्र विधान परिषद की उपाध्यक्ष डॉ. नीलम गोरहे ने पुलिस को सुनसान इलाकों में सतर्कता और गश्त बढ़ाने का निर्देश दिया। पुणे में पुलिस की बैठक के बाद बोलते हुए उन्होंने रात में सुनसान जगहों पर रोशनी और लाउडस्पीकर लगाने सहित बेहतर सुरक्षा उपायों की आवश्यकता पर जोर दिया। डॉ. गोरहे ने यह भी निर्देश दिया कि सार्वजनिक सुरक्षा सुनिश्चित करने के लिए ऐसे क्षेत्रों में सीसीटीवी कैमरे लगाए जाएं और नियमित रूप से निगरानी की जाए।

कोलकाता के आर.जी. कर मेडिकल कॉलेज की जूनियर डॉक्टर के साथ दुष्कर्म और हत्या के विरोध में छह जूनियर डॉक्टरों ने अनिश्चितकालीन भूख हड़ताल शुरू कर दी है। जूनियर डॉक्टरों ने कल शाम घोषणा की थी कि वे चिकित्सा सेवाएं जारी रखते हुए अपना विरोध प्रदर्शन जारी रखेंगे । सरकार के समक्ष रखी गयी 10 सूत्री मांगों पर कोई कार्रवाई नहीं किये जाने के बाद डॉक्टरों ने भूख हड़ताल शुरू की है।

मेघनाथ साहा (अंग्रेज़ी: Meghnad Saha; जन्म- 6 अक्टूबर, 1893, पूर्वी बंगाल; मृत्यु- 16 फ़रवरी, 1956) गणित और भौतिकी के क्षेत्र में महत्त्वपूर्ण कार्य करने वाले भारतीय वैज्ञानिक थे। उनके अथक प्रयासों से ही ‘इंस्टीट्यूट ऑफ़ न्यूक्लियर फ़िजिक्स’ की स्थापना हुई थी। डॉ. मेघनाथ साहा ने तारों के ताप और वर्णक्रम के निकट संबंध के भौतकीय कारणों को खोज निकाला था। अपनी इस खोज के कारण 26 वर्ष की उम्र में ही उन्हें अंतर्राष्ट्रीय ख्याति प्राप्त हो चुकी थी। उन्हें 34 वर्ष की उम्र में लंदन की ‘रॉयल एशियाटिक सोसायटी’ का फ़ैलो चुना गया था। मेघनाथ साहा संसद के भी सदस्य थे। उनके प्रयत्न से भारत में भौतिक विज्ञान को बड़ा प्रोत्साहन मिला था।

He was an Indian astrophysicist who helped devise the theory of thermal ionisation. His Saha ionisation equation allowed astronomers to accurately relate the spectral classes of stars to their actual temperatures.During his youth, he was forced to leave Dhaka Collegiate School because he participated in the Swadeshi movement. After that he joined K. L. Jubilee High School & College. He earned his Indian School Certificate from Dhaka College. He was also a student at the Presidency College, Kolkata and Rajabazar Science College CU. Saha faced discrimination from other students due to his caste(vaishya); when he was at the Eden Hindu Hostel, upper-caste students objected to him eating in the same dining hall as them.

He became a Fellow of the Royal Society in 1927. He was president of the 21st session of the Indian Science Congress in 1934. Amongst Saha’s classmates were Satyendra Nath Bose, Jnan Ghosh and Jnanendra Nath Mukherjee. In his later life, he was close to Amiya Charan Banerjee. Saha was an atheist.Saha’s study of the thermal ionisation of elements led him to formulate what is known as the Saha ionisation equation. This equation is one of the basic tools for interpreting the spectra of stars. By studying the spectra of stars, one can find their temperature and using Saha’s equation determine the ionisation state of the elements making up the star.

लक्ष्मी मल्ल सिंघवी (अंग्रेज़ी: Laxmi Mall Singhvi, 9 नवम्बर, 1931, जोधपुर; मृत्यु- 6 अक्टूबर, 2007, नई दिल्ली) जानेमाने भारतीय कवि, लेखक, भाषाविद, संविधान विशेषज्ञ और प्रसिद्ध न्यायविद थे। उन्होंने हिन्दी के वैश्वीकरण और हिन्दी के उन्नयन की दिशा में सजग, सक्रिय और ईमानदार प्रयास किए। वे भारतीय संस्कृति के राजदूत, ब्रिटेन में हिन्दी के प्रणेता और हिन्दी-भाषियों के लिए प्रेरणा स्रोत थे। जैन धर्म के इतिहास और संस्कृति के जानकार के रूप में मशहूर लक्ष्मी मल्ल सिंघवी ने कई पुस्तकें भी लिखीं, जिनमें से अनेक हिन्दी में हैं। भारत सरकार उन्हें ‘पद्म भूषण’ से सम्मानित किया गया था। उनकी प्रसिद्ध हिन्दी कृतियाँ ‘संध्या का सूरज: हिन्दी काव्य’ , ‘भारत हमारा समय’ और

‘जैन मंदिर’ काफी लोकप्रिय हुए।

Along with Lalgudi Jayaraman and M. S. Gopalakrishnan he was considered part of the violin-trinity of Carnatic music. He was awarded the Madras Music Academy’s Sangeetha Kalanidhi in 1980. He was also the recipient of the Padma Bhushan, India’s third highest civilian honour, in 1992, and earlier, the Padma Shri, India’s fourth highest civilian honour, in 1973.

  He performed his first solo concert in Trivandrum in 1939, at the age of 11. In his early years, the Cochin royal family provided him with royal patronage. Krishnan first arrived in Madras in 1942. His tutor, Semmangudi Srinivasa Iyer, placed him in the care of R. Aiyadurai, an industrialist, philanthropist and patron of Carnatic music. Aiyadurai and his wife Thangam Aiyadurai welcomed the young Krishnan in to their home as his own. Along with Lalgudi Jayaraman and M. S. Gopalakrishnan he was considered a part of the violin-trinity of Carnatic music. Reviews of his performance called out the importance that he gave to expressional restraint.

विनोद खन्ना (अंग्रेज़ी: Vinod Khanna, जन्म: 6 अक्टूबर, 1946 – मृत्यु: 27 अप्रैल, 2017) हिन्दी फ़िल्मों के प्रसिद्ध अभिनेता थे। अटल बिहारी वाजपेयी के नेतृत्व वाली भारत सरकार में उन्होंने पर्यटन और संस्कृति मंत्री के तौर पर काम किया। बाद में उन्हें विदेश राज्य मंत्री की जिम्मेदारी भी दी गई थी। उन्होंने अपने करियर की शुरुआत नकारात्मक किरदारों से की। बाद में वह मुख्यधारा के हीरो बन गए। 1968 में सुनील दत्त की फिल्म ‘मन का मीत’ से विनोद खन्ना ने अपना फिल्मी कॅरियर शुरू किया था। विनोद खन्ना का नाम ऐसे अभिनेताओं में शुमार था जिन्होंने शुरुआत तो विलेन के किरदार से की थी लेकिन बाद में हीरो बन गए।

ये फिल्में थीं, पूरब और पश्चिम, सच्चा झूठा, आन मिलो सजन, मस्ताना, मेरा गांव मेरा देश, ऐलान आदि। ‘मेरे अपने’, ‘दयावान’, ‘कुर्बानी’, ‘मेरा गांव मेरा देश’ जैसी फिल्मों को उनकी यादगार भूमिकाओं के लिए याद किया जाता है। विनोद खन्ना ने 1971 में सोलो लीड रोल में फिल्म ‘हम तुम और वो’ में काम किया था।

India at 65th National Film Awards.Vinod Khanna began his acting career in 1968 with a supporting role Man Ka Meet produced by Sunil Dutt. The film did well at the box office and Khanna got noticed by the audience. His breakthrough came in 1970 as he co-starred alongside Rajesh Khanna in Sachaa Jhutha and Aan Milo Sajna and Manoj Kumar in Purab Aur Paschim, all three of which were blockbusters at the box office as well as among the top 5 highest grossing films of that year. In 1971, he bagged his first leading role in Gulzar’s maiden directional venture Mere Apne, which opened to positive response from critics and proved to be a hit. He then played the antagonist in Raj Khosla’s action drama Mera Gaon Mera Desh which had Dharmendra and Asha Parekh in the lead. The film made the industry shift to action from romantic films and was an All Time Blockbuster at the box office with Khanna receiving praise for his menacing portrayal of a treacherous bandit.

आज जानमाने अभिनेता संजय मिशरा का जन्मदिन है। साधारण कद-काठी और चेहरा, कैमरे के सामने असाधारण अदाकारी संजय मिश्रा को अपने दौर के कलाकारों से बेहद अलग बनाती है। बनारस में रचे-बसे संजय मिश्रा ने करियर में बुलंदियों को छुआ तो छोटे पर्दे पर भी काम करने में संकोच महसूस नहीं किया। 6 अक्टूबर 1963 को बिहार के दरभंगा में पैदा हुए संजय मिश्रा पिता के साथ कई शहर घूमे। नौ साल की उम्र में बनारस शिफ्ट हो गए। 1991 में नेशनल स्कूल ऑफ ड्रामा से एक्टिंग का कोर्स किया और ‘सपनों की नगरी’ मुंबई में एक बड़ा नाम बनने का सफर शुरू किया। फिर, ‘दिल से’, ‘बंटी और बबली’, ‘अपना सपना मनी मनी’, ‘आंखों देखी’, ‘मिस टनकपुर हाजिर हो’, ‘प्रेम रतन धन पायो’, ‘मेरठिया गैंगस्टर्स’ जैसी फिल्मों में दिखे। इसले अलावा फिल्म गुठली में उनका एक शिक्षक का किरदार भी काफी पसंद किया गया ।इस फिल्म में स्कूल हेडमास्टर बने संजय मिश्रा कहते हैं कि पूजा पर ध्यान ना दें…सरस्वती पूजा पर ध्यान दें। लक्ष्मी खुद ही चलकर घर आ जाएगी लेकिन क्या लक्ष्मी और पढ़ाई पर सिर्फ बड़ी जाति वालों का हक होता है। ये फिल्म एक एक करके कई सवाल उठाती है क्या किसी की जाति शिक्षा से भी बड़ी होती है।
