Prime Minister Narendra Modi will launch, inaugurate, and lay the foundation stone for multiple projects related to the health sector worth around 12,850 crore rupees in New Delhi today on the occasion of Dhanvantari Jayanti and the 9th Ayurveda Day.

The Prime Minister will launch the expansion of health coverage to all senior citizens aged 70 years and above as a major addition to the Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana. This will help provide health coverage to all senior citizens regardless of their income.
In a major boost to healthcare infrastructure, Mr. Modi will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone for multiple healthcare institutions.

He will inaugurate Phase II of India’s First All India Institute of Ayurveda, which includes a Panchakarma hospital, an Ayurvedic pharmacy for drug manufacturing, a sports medicine unit, a central library, an IT and start-up incubation center, and a 500-seat auditorium, among others. He will also inaugurate three medical colleges in Madhya Pradesh.

Furthermore, he will inaugurate facility and service extensions at various AIIMS in Himachal Pradesh, West Bengal, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Assam, and New Delhi, which will also include a Jan Aushadhi Kendra. The Prime Minister will also inaugurate a Super Specialty Block in the Government Medical College at Bilaspur in Chhattisgarh and a Critical Care Block in Bargarh, Odisha.

Additionally, the Prime Minister will lay the foundation stone for five Nursing Colleges in Madhya Pradesh. He will also lay the foundation stone for 21 Critical Care Blocks in Himachal Pradesh, Karnataka, Manipur, Tamil Nadu, and Rajasthan under the Ayushman Bharat Health Infrastructure Mission (PM-ABHIM), as well as several facilities and service extensions at AIIMS in New Delhi and in Bilaspur, Himachal Pradesh.

The Prime Minister will launch the U-WIN portal. It will benefit pregnant women and infants by fully digitalizing the vaccination process. The Prime Minister will also launch a portal for allied and healthcare professionals and institutes. It will act as a centralised database of existing healthcare professionals and institutes.
Mr Modi will also launch several initiatives to strengthen the R&D and testing infrastructure to improve the healthcare ecosystem in the country.

प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी आज रोज़गार मेले में सरकारी विभागों और संगठनों के लिए हाल ही में चयनित 51 हज़ार से अधिक अभ्यर्थियों को वीडियो कॉन्फ्रेंस के माध्यम से नियुक्ति-पत्र सौंपेंगे। यह रोज़गार मेला देशभर में 40 से अधिक जगहों पर आयोजित किया जा रहा है।

The filing of nominations will end today for the second phase of assembly elections in Jharkhand. Thirty eight constituencies will go to polls in this phase on 20th of November.  Scrutiny of nominations will be done on 30th October, while candidates can withdraw their nominations till 1st November.

In Maharashtra, filing of nomination for single-phase assembly polls will end today. The scrutiny of nominations will be done tomorrow. The last date for withdrawal of candidature is 4th November.
Voting for all 288 seats will be held on 20th November in single phase. The counting of votes will be taken up on November 23.

Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, his deputy Ajit Pawar and senior Congress leader Vijay Wadettiwar filed their nomination papers yesterday.
Other prominent leaders who filed nomination papers during the day were state forest minister and BJP leader Sudhir Mungantiwar and Maharashtra Navnirman Sena chief Raj Thackeray’s son Amit Thackeray.

भारतीय साइबर अपराध समन्‍वय केन्‍द्र ने दूसरों के बैंक खातों का इस्‍तेमाल कर अवैध भुगतान प्रणालियां बनाए जाने के प्रति सचेत किया है। अंतरराष्ट्रीय संगठित साइबर अपराधी, धनशोधन के लिए ऐसे बैंक खातों का इस्‍तेमाल करते हैं। गृह मंत्रालय के अनुसार, हाल में गुजरात और आन्‍ध्र प्रदेश पुलिस के छापों में पता चला है कि अपराधी गैर-कानूनी डिजिटल भुगतान प्रणाली के माध्यम से साइबर अपराधों को अंजाम दे रहे हैं। गृह मंत्रालय अन्य एजेंसियों के साथ मिलकर साइबर अपराधों से सुरक्षा के उपाय कर रहा है।

Union Minister of Commerce and Industry Piyush Goyal will be on a two-day visit to Saudi Arabia beginning today. The visit aims to further deepen the strategic partnership and explore new avenues of trade, investment, and economic cooperation between India and Saudi Arabia. During the visit, Mr. Goyal will also participate in the 8th edition of the Future Investment Initiative in Riyadh.

The Minister will hold bilateral meetings with key Saudi ministers to discuss collaborative efforts in energy transition, digital transformation, and trade facilitation.

Mr. Goyal will co-chair the 2nd Ministerial meeting of the Economy and Investment Committee under the India-Saudi Strategic Partnership Council, focusing on sectors like agriculture, food security, energy, technology, and infrastructure.
The Minister will also unveil the One District, One Product Wall at the Indian Embassy.

केंद्रीय आवास और शहरी कार्य मंत्री मनोहर लाल ने कल स्वच्छ दिवाली शुभ दिवाली अभियान की शुरुआत की। इस अभियान का लक्ष्य दिवाली त्योहार के दौरान सार्वजनिक स्थानों को साफ करना है और यह 3 नवंबर तक चलेगा। इस मौके पर केंद्रीय मंत्री ने कहा कि त्योहारों में लोगों को अपने घर-आंगन की साफ-सफाई के साथ-साथ अपने गली-मोहल्लों की सफाई का भी ध्यान रखना चाहिए। स्वच्छता ही सेवा के सामूहिक प्रयास पर जोर देते हुए उन्होंने कहा कि लोगों को इस गति को तब तक बनाए रखना चाहिए जब तक कि सभी स्वच्छता लक्ष्य इकाइयां पूरी तरह से साफ न हो जाएं और कचरा मुक्त शहरों का लक्ष्य हासिल किया जा सके। कार्यक्रम में आवासन एवं शहरी कार्य राज्य मंत्री तोखन साहू भी उपस्थित थे।

Hockey India has announced 18-member squad for the upcoming Women’s Asian Champions Trophy 2024. The tournament is set to take place from 11th to 20th of November at the Rajgir Hockey Stadium in Bihar.
Defending champions India will be led by Midfielder Salima Tete, while Forward Navneet Kaur will serve as the vice-captain.
India will start their campaign against Malaysia on the opening day of the tournament, following matches against China, Japan, Korea, and Thailand to defend the trophy.

Captain Srinivasa Murthy Central Ayurveda Research Institute( CSMCARI ) organised Medical camps, and seminars. which were  part of the 9th National Ayurveda Celebrations. This institute comprises of various departments such as Chemistry, Pharmacy, Botany, Pharmacognosy, Pharmacology, Biochemistry and Microbiology. Besides completion of hundreds of EMR/IMR projects, CSMCARI currently has 26 interdisciplinary IMR projects. So far, this Institute published more than 500 research articles in well reputed National and International journals and eight patents in Ayurveda on its credit and about 200 scientific papers have been presented in Seminar/Conference /Symposia . The monographs prepared by the Institute were published in the Ayurvedic Pharmacopoeia of India and Quality Standards for Indian Medicinal Plants by ICMR.

The automated permanent academic account registry, a 12 digit unique identification system will track the academic progress of all students in the Country. The Chairman of the National Educational Technology Forum and National Board of Accreditation – Anil  D.Sahasrabudhe said that already 4 crore of 4.5 crore in higher education have for APAAR IDs.  He said that IDs are being created for school students and students need consent from parents, and for authentication, Aadhaar is also a must. He said that it will maintain a permanent record of each student’s academic history, including courses taken, grades and certifications across different educational institutions through its digi -locker integration and sharing this ID will be enough while applying for higher education in India or abroad or for a job.

Renault Nissan Automotive India , the globally dedicated manufacturing facility for the Renault Nissan Alliance has manufactured 45 lakh powertrain units at its facility in Oragadam Chennai. It also sells cars for India and export markets with more than 2.75 million cars produced since the start of operations in 2010. The facility also includes end to end capabilities for production of engines from melting of aluminium ingots, casting the molten metal into various engine parts such as the cylinder head and cylinder block at the casting shop, machining them to the perfect size and dimensions at the machining shop and assembling them together at the Assembly shop. The plant has the capacity to produce engines with ranges from 800cc to 1500 cc .

METRO NEWS BENGALURU

The Bengaluru Traffic Police registered 314 cases against drivers caught under the influence of alcohol during a recent special drive across the city. Aimed at curbing drunken driving and enhancing road safety, the drive took place from October 21 to October 27, during which 25,383 vehicles were checked. The Traffic Police Department plans to continue similar initiatives to strictly enforce traffic rules and promote safer roads in Bengaluru.

In response to growing concerns from villagers about the safety of crossing the Bengaluru-Mysuru Access Controlled Highway, the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has initiated the construction of foot overbridges (FoBs) along the route.

This initiative follows numerous complaints highlighting the risks pedestrians face due to a lack of safe crossing points. With pedestrian movement restricted along much of the highway, villagers have been forced to walk long distances or cross high-traffic lanes, putting themselves at increased risk of accidents.

METRO NEWS Hyderabad

The Telangana Commission for Backward Classes has held a public hearing in Adilabad district headquarters, the first in the State yesterday as a precursor to the upcoming State-wide caste survey.

The newly constituted Backward Classes ( BC ) Commission has been tasked with deciding the reservations for BC communities in local bodies after a State-wide comprehensive caste survey to enumerate the percentage of BC communities in the population.

Telangana BC Commission Chairman G. Niranjan has presided over the public hearing and was attended by Collectors of Adilabad, Nirmal, Mancherial and Kumram Bheem Asifabad districts, elected public representatives, members of various BC Organisations, and other stakeholders from the erstwhile composite Adilabad district.

The participants extended suggestions and submitted about 90 representations to the BC Commission during the public hearing. State BC Commission members were also present. The Commission has been receiving the suggestions on the upcoming caste survey and BC reservations till 5 PM on 13th next month.

दिल्ली – गोपाल राय

दिल्‍ली के पर्यावरण मंत्री गोपाल राय ने उपराज्‍यपाल विनय कुमार सक्‍सेना को कल पत्र लिखकर पटाखों की अवैध बिक्री और वितरण में शामिल उल्‍लंघकर्ताओं के खिलाफ सख्‍त कार्रवाई करने का आग्रह किया। पत्र में श्री राय ने कहा कि पटाखों पर प्रतिबंध के बावजूद दिल्‍ली के कई बाजारों में इनकी बिक्री जारी है। पर्यावरण मंत्री ने उपराज्‍यपाल से कहा है कि वे शहर में पटाखों पर पूर्ण प्रतिबंध सुनिश्चित करने के लिए दिल्‍ली पुलिस को उल्‍लंघनकर्ताओं के खिलाफ सख्‍त कार्रवाई करने का निर्देश दें, ताकि राजधानी के पर्यावरण और नागरिकों के स्‍वास्‍थ्‍य को बिगडने से बचाया जा सके। राजधानी दिल्‍ली और हरियाणा के फरीदाबाद में अगले साल जनवरी तक पटाखों की बिक्री, भंडारण और इनके इस्‍तेमाल पर पूरी तरह से प्रतिबंध लागू है।

दिल्ली जल संकट

राष्ट्रीय राजधानी दिल्ली के कई हिस्से पानी की कमी की समस्या से जूझ रहे हैं। यमुना नदी में अमोनिया की मात्रा अधिक होने के कारण शुक्रवार तक कई इलाकों में जलापूर्ति प्रभावित रहेगी। दिल्ली जल बोर्ड ने कहा है कि अमोनिया की अधिक मात्रा के कारण भागीरथी और सोनिया विहार जल उपचार संयंत्रों में पानी का उत्पादन 30 प्रतिशत तक कम कर दिया गया है। इस बीच दिल्ली सरकार ने लोगों से पानी का उचित उपयोग करने का आग्रह किया है।

दिल्‍ली-मेट्रो

त्‍योहारों को ध्‍यान में रखते हुए दिल्‍ली मेट्रो की सभी लाइनों पर मेट्रो रेल के फेरों को बढ़ाया गया है। दिल्ली मेट्रो रेल निगम-डीएमआरसी के प्रवक्‍ता अनुज दयाल ने बताया है कि मेट्रो में भीड़ को कम करने और यात्रियों को आसान सफर उपलब्ध करवाने के लिए सभी लाइनों पर मेट्रो रेल आज और कल 60 अतिरिक्त फेरे लगाएंगी। डीएमआरसी ने लोगों से अपील की है कि त्योहार के दौरान वे मेट्रो का सफर करें और शहर के प्रदूषण को कम करने में योगदान दें।

एम्स-ग्रासरूट

अखिल भारतीय आयुर्विज्ञान संस्थान-एम्स ने कल नई दिल्ली में ग्रासरूट-ग्रेविटी स्टेंट रिट्रीवर सिस्टम फॉर रीपरफ्यूजन ऑफ लार्ज वेसल ऑक्लूजन ट्रायल का परीक्षण शुरू करने की घोषणा की है। स्टेंट रिट्रीवर एक ऐसा चिकित्सकीय उपकरण है जिसका उपयोग रक्त के थक्कों को हटाने के लिए किया जाता है। एम्स में न्यूरोलॉजी विभाग के प्रमुख, डॉक्टर शैलेश गायकवाड़ ने कहा कि यह पहल स्ट्रोक से जुड़ी बिमारियों का उपचार करने में महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका अदा करेगी और इससे उपचार लागत मे कमी आएगी।

मुंबई विश्वविद्यालय ने 7 जनवरी, 2025 को दीक्षांत समारोह आयोजित करने की योजना बनाई।
मुंबई विश्वविद्यालय का दीक्षांत समारोह 7 जनवरी, 2025 को आयोजित किया जाएगा, जिसकी अध्यक्षता राज्यपाल सीपी राधाकृष्णन करेंगे तथा मुख्य अतिथि प्रोफेसर अभय करंदीकर होंगे। एक लाख पचास हजार से अधिक स्नातकों को डिग्री प्रदान की जाएगी, जिसका सीधा प्रसारण मुंबई विश्वविद्यालय के यूट्यूब चैनल पर उपलब्ध होगा।

मुख्यमंत्री ममता बनर्जी ने दिवाली और काली पूजा उत्सव में पटाखों का इस्तेमाल जिम्मेदारी से करने की अपील करते हुए सभी से सतर्क रहने को कहा है। उन्होंने कल कोलकाता में कई काली पूजा पंडालों का उद्घाटन किया था। वहीं ईस्टर्न रेलवे दिवाली और छठ पूजा के लिए 50 स्पेशल ट्रेनें चला रहा है।

वसंत रामजी खानोलकर (अंग्रेज़ी: Vasant Ramji Khanolkar, जन्म- 13 अप्रॅल, 1895; मृत्यु- 29 अक्टूबर, 1978) भारतीय रोग विज्ञानी थे। उन्हें ‘भारत में पैथोलॉजी और चिकित्सा अनुसंधान के पिता’ के रूप में जाना जाता है। वी. आर. खानोलकर ने कैंसर, रक्त समूहों और कुष्ठ रोग की महामारी के इलाज खोजने में महत्त्वपूर्ण योगदान दिया था।डॉ. वी. आर. खानोलकर ने कैंसर और कुष्ठ रोग पर 100 से अधिक वैज्ञानिक पत्रों पर तीन पुस्तकें प्रकाशित की थीं।

Tiruchirapalli Srinivasan Rangarajan, professionally credited by his pseudonym Vaali (29 October 1931 – 18 July 2013) was an Indian poet who has the record for writing the most songs in Tamil cinema. He is also recognised for a five-decade long association in the Tamil film industry and has written over 15,000 songs.
He acted in a number of films, including Sathya, Hey Ram, Paarthale Paravasam and Poikkal Kudhirai. He was honoured by the Government of India with the Padma Shri, India’s fourth highest civilian honour in 2007.

कमलादेवी चट्टोपाध्याय (अंग्रेज़ी: Kamaladevi Chattopadhyay, जन्म: 3 अप्रैल, 1903; मृत्यु: 29 अक्टूबर, 1988) भारत की समाज सुधारक, स्वतंत्रता संग्राम सेनानी, तथा भारतीय हस्तकला के क्षेत्र में नवजागरण लाने वाली गाँधीवादी महिला थीं। उन्हे समाज सेवा के लिए 1955 में पद्म भूषण और सामुदायिक नेतृत्व के लिए सन 1966 में रेमन मैग्सेसे पुरस्कार से सम्मानित किया गया। आजादी के बाद इन्हें वर्ष 1952 में ‘आल इंडिया हेंडीक्राफ्ट’ का प्रमुख नियुक्त किया गया। ग्रामीण इलाकों में इन्होंने घूम-घूम कर एक पारखी की तरह हस्तशिल्प और हथकरघा कलाओं का संग्रह किया।

Kamaladevi Chattopadhyay (3 April 1903 – 29 October 1988) was an Indian social reformer. She has worked for the promotion of Indian handicrafts, handlooms, and theatre in independent India to uplift the socio-economic standard of Indian women. She is the first woman in India to contest in elections from Madras Constituency, but lost.

She has headed the National School of Drama and Sangeet Natak Akademi. In 1974, she was awarded the Sangeet Natak Academy Fellowship, the highest honour conferred by the Sangeet Natak Academy, India’s National Academy of Music, Dance & Drama. She was conferred with Padma Bhushan and Padma Vibhushan by Government of India in 1955 and 1987 respectively. She is known as Hatkargha Maa for her works in handloom sector.

The Government of India conferred on her the Padma Bhushan in 1955, and the Padma Vibhushan in 1987, which are among the most revered civilian awards of the Republic of India.[13] She was awarded the Ramon Magsaysay Award in 1966 for Community Leadership. In 1974, she was awarded the Sangeet Natak Akademi Fellowship, Ratna Sadasya, in recognition of her lifetime’s work. The Fellowship is the highest award of Sangeet Natak Akademi, India’s National Academy of Music, Dance and Drama.

UNESCO honoured her with an award in 1977 for her contribution towards the promotion of handicrafts. Shantiniketan honoured her with the Desikottama, its highest award.

श्यामा चरण पति (अंग्रेज़ी: Shyama Charan Pati, जन्म- 1940; मृत्यु- 29 अक्टूबर, 2020) देश-दुनिया में छऊ नृत्य को अंतरराष्ट्रीय पहचान दिलाने वाले नर्तक थे। सरायकेला-खरसावां जैसे छोटे जिले को छऊ नृत्य के माध्यम से राष्ट्रीय पहचान दिलाने वाले पं. श्यामा चरण पति को वर्ष 2006 में पद्म श्री से सम्मानित किया गया था। उन्होंने सुजाता माहेश्वरी व शोभनब्रत सिरकार जैसे कई छात्रों को प्रशिक्षित किया, जिन्होंने भारत के अलावा विभिन्न देशों में छऊ नृत्य का प्रदर्शन किया। श्यामा चरण पति की पुत्री सुष्मिता पति भी छऊ नृत्यांगना हैं।

Kachinamthoduka Puthiyapurayil Ummer known as K. P. Ummer was an Indian actor from Thekkepuram quarter of Kozhikode, Kerala, India. He was active in the Malayalam cinema from the early sixties until the late nineties.

He was born to T. Mohamed Koya and Beevi on 11 October 1930 in Calicut. His first film was Rarichan Enna Pauran (1956). He frequently played the villain opposite Prem Nazir, who played the hero. Ummer was also a character artist in the 1960s, 1970s and 1980s.[2] In 1967, he did his first character role in the film Udhyogastha directed by P. Venu. Later he worked in many of his films.

Ummer was a professional drama actor of K.P.A.C. and other troupes.[ He was a brilliant football player.
K. P. Ummer was the first actor in Kerala to turn down a state government award. The K. P. Ummer Anusmarana Samithi created an award instituted in his memory for the people who contribute to Malayalam movies

Reema Sen (born 29 October 1981 is a former Indian actress and model who primarily appeared in Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi films.
Reema Sen was born in Kolkata[2] on 29 October 1981. She completed high school from St. Thomas Girls School in Kidderpore, Kolkata, after which her family moved to Mumbai.

Sen married businessman Shiv Karan Singh in 2012. She gave birth to their son, Rudraveer, on 22 February 2013
In Mumbai, she began her modelling career, appearing in a number of advertising campaigns. She then moved to films and made her acting debut with Telugu film Chitram, in which she acted opposite Uday Kiran.

She ended her film career in 2012 after she got married. Her last Bollywood film was Gangs of Wasseypur alongside Manoj Bajpayee, Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Richa Chadda
