India's foreign exchange reserves surged by 15.26 billion dollars, reaching over 653.96 billion dollars in the week ending March 7, bolstered by the Reserve Bank of India’s (RBI) currency swap operations last month. According to the Weekly Statistical Supplement released by the RBI, Foreign currency assets, a major component of the reserves, were up by over 13.93 billion dollars to over 557.28 billion dollars. During the last week, gold reserves rose by 1 billion dollars, totaling over 74.32 billion dollars.

A new Cabinet of 13 men and 11 women was sworn in, smaller than Trudeau’s 37-member team.
Addressing his first press conference after his cabinet was sworn in, Mr Carney said that Canada will never become a part of the United States. He said that Canada is fundamentally a different country.

सुनीता विलियम्स और बुच विल्मोर पिछले वर्ष जून में अंतरिक्ष स्टेशन में गये थे। दोनों को करीब एक सप्ताह तक अंतरिक्ष स्टेशन पर रहना था और किसी ने किसी तकनीकी वजह से वे नहीं लौट पर रही हैं। अब एक और प्रयास के तहत स्पेसएक्स और नासा ने अमरीकी अंतरिक्ष यात्री सुनीता विलियम्स और बुच विल्मोर को अंतर्राष्ट्रीय अंतरिक्ष स्टेशन से वापस लाने के लिए एक मिशन शुरू किया है। सुनीता और बुच नौ महीने से अंतरिक्ष स्टेशन में फंसे हैं। क्रू-10 मिशन पर ड्रैगन स्पेसक्राफ्ट के साथ फाल्कन-नाइन रॉकेट का कल रात प्रक्षेपण हुआ।

SpaceX and NASA have launched a mission to bring back US astronauts Sunita Williams and Butch Wilmore from the International Space Station (ISS), where they have been stranded for nine months. The lift-off took place last night with a Falcon 9 rocket carrying a Dragon spacecraft on the Crew-10 mission.
Sunita Williams and Butch Wilmore have been stranded on the ISS for nine months after reaching there in June last year. They were supposed to stay there for about a week.
Ahead of the launch, US Secretary of Defence Pete Hegseth shared a video message expressing support for NASA's SpaceX Crew-10.

Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister D K Shivakumar yesterday announced a possible hike in water tariff by one paise per litre. He gave the information during the question hour in the Legislative Council . He added that the MLAs from the city will be consulted before a decision is taken on the hike in water tariff. In his reply to another question, Shivakumar said that a month-long campaign will be launched on the Water conservation Day on March 22nd about conservation. On illegal water connections, the minister said that some of them include builders owning large apartments and notices were issued to them. Coming strong against the private water tankers exploiting citizens during peak Summer, he said, water tanker mafia will be curbed and the Government will take over these water tankers during the Summer months.

HYDERABAD
In Telangana, the search operation to locate seven persons trapped inside the partially collapsed Srisailam Left Bank Canal (SLBC) tunnel continuing at a rapid pace. An official release stated that an autonomous hydraulic-powered robot equipped with advanced machinery has been deployed to expedite the search operation for the seven individuals trapped inside. The personnel of different organisations involved in the operation went inside the tunnel, taking the necessary equipment with them. Rescue personnel from state-run miner Singareni Collieries along with rat miners have been carrying out excavations at the points which have been identified as possible sites of the missing persons.
The incident occurred on 22nd last month, when a portion of the SLBC tunnel collapsed, trapping eight individuals, including engineers and labourers, inside. One body was recovered earlier. Rescue teams have been working tirelessly for over three weeks to locate and retrieve the missing workers. With the latest deployment of advanced robotic technology, officials hope to speed up the search efforts.

शगुन हाल ही में एक रिपोर्ट आई थी जिसमें दिल्ली को सबसे प्रदूषित राजधानी बताया गया। तो इस दिशा में ठोस कदम उठाने की जरूरत है। इस सिलसिले में दिल्ली की मुख्यमंत्री रेखा गुप्ता ने शहर के सीमावर्ती क्षेत्रों में वाहनों के प्रदूषण सबंधी जाँच के लिए कार्यवान्वय दल बढ़ाने के निर्देश दिए। राष्ट्रीय राजधानी में वायु प्रदुषण को नियंत्रित करने के लिए हुई उच्चस्तरीय बैठक में मुख्यमंत्री ने कहा कि प्रदूषण के प्रति जागरूकता बढ़ाने के लिए दिल्ली की सीमा पर डिजिटल डिस्प्ले बोर्ड लगाए जाएंगे। मानसून को छोड़कर अब पूरे साल दिल्ली की सड़को पर स्प्रिंकलर्स और स्मॉग गन्स तैनात रहेंगी।

प्रधानमंत्री सूर्य घर योजना के तहत छातों पर सौर ऊर्जा संयंत्र स्थापित करने के मामले में महाराष्ट्र ने देश में दूसरा स्थान प्राप्त किया है। मुख्यमंत्री देवेंद्र फडणवीस ने सोशल मीडिया पर इसकी जानकारी दी। महाराष्ट्र इस योजना के तहत एक लाख 92 हजार 936 सौर संयंत्र स्थापित कर जुका है। महाराष्ट्र ने यह स्थान प्राप्त किया है। पिछले साल 13 फरवरी को शुरू की गई इस योजना के तहत इस साल 10 मार्च तक देश भर में दस लाख से अधिक सौर ऊर्जा संयंत्र स्थापित किए जा चुके हैं। यह एक ऐतिहासकि उपलब्धि है।

Government has taken various steps to protect the rights of the consumers and early redressal of their grievances. The Consumer Affairs Ministry is running various consumer awareness programmes through Jaago Grahak Jaago. National Consumer Helpline has also partnered with over one thousand companies to expedite grievance resolution. To safeguard consumers from unfair trade practices in e-commerce, the Department of Consumer Affairs has notified the Consumer Protection (E-commerce) Rules, 2020. These rules outline the responsibilities of e-commerce entities and specify the liabilities of marketplace and inventory e-commerce entities, including provisions for customer grievance redressal. क्या आपको पता है कि विश्व में सबसे ज्यादा महिला पायलट किस देश में हैं। अगर नहीं तो बता दें कि भारत किसी भी अन्य देश की तुलना में महिला पायलटों के अनुपात में सबसे ऊपर है। यहां के आसमान में महिलाएं राज करती हैं। इस समय भारतीय में करीब 15 प्रतिशत महिला पायलट हैं, जो विश्व औसत 5 प्रतिशत से काफी अधिक है। देश की महिलाओं को आसमान में उड़ने के लिए यह पंख दिए थे, भारत की पहली महिला पायलट सरला ठकराल ने। आज उनकी पुण्यतिथि है।
पायलट ट्रेनिंग के लिए सरला का दाखिला उनके ससुर ने जोधपुर फ्लाइंग क्लब में करवाया। इस फ्लाइंग क्लब ने आज से पहले कोई लड़की नहीं देखी थी । फ्लाइंग स्कूल के लिए ये एक बहुत ही अलग स्थिति थी। सरला का एक प्लेन के किताबी और वास्तविक रूप से परिचय कराया। उनकी रूचि अपने काम के प्रति इतनी अधिक थी कि हर सवाल का जवाब उनकी ज़ुबान पर था।
सरला की इस हाजिर जवाबी को उनके ट्रेनर ने देखा और महज़ 8 घंटे के अंदर ही उन्हें सरला पर इतना विश्वास हो गया। सरला ने जोधपुर फ्लाइंग क्लब में ट्रेनिंग ली। ट्रेनिंग के दौरान, पहली बार, उन्होंने साल 1936 में जिप्सी मॉथ नाम का दो सीटर विमान उड़ाया था। इस दौरान उन्होंने भारतीय परंपरा का मान रखते हुए साड़ी पहनकर अपनी पहली सोलो फ्लाइट में उड़ान भरी थी।

समूचे देश में एक पीढ़ी ऐसी है जो राही मासूम रजा को एतिहासिक उपन्यास ‘आधा गांव’ के लिए जानती हैं. एक पीढ़ी ऐसी है जो उन्हें अत्यंत लोकप्रिय टीवी धारावाहिक ‘महाभारत’ के लिए जानती है.पटकथा लिखी उसकी उन्होंने। कई लोग उन्हें ‘गोलमाल’, ‘कर्ज’, ‘मैं तुलसी तेरे आंगन की’ जैसी सुपरहिट फिल्मों की वजह से जानते हैं, किसी ने उनका धारावाहिक ‘नीम का पेड़’ देखा है... और बहुत बड़ा वर्ग ऐसा है जिसके होंठों पर अक्सर उनका लिखा वो गीत रहता है जिसे जगजीत सिंह ने अमर कर दिया. वो गीत था-
‘हम तो हैं परदेस में देस में निकला होगा चांद’.
उनकी लिखिी बहुत ही सुंदर पंक्तियां हैं-

आज के दिन निधन हुआ था जाने-माने गीतकार वर्मा मलिक या कहें बरकत राय मलिक का। वह पंजाबी और उर्दू के लेखक थे। हिंदी भाषा उन्होंने मुम्बई आकर ही सीखी थी। उन्होंने पंजाबी फ़िल्मों से अपने कॅरियर की शुरुआत की थी।
मूल रूप से पंजाबी और उर्दू जानने वाले वर्मा मलिक ने बाक़ायदा हिंदी लिखनी पढ़नी सीखी। उन्होंने इस भाषा को कितनी गहराई से पढ़ा इसका सुबूत फ़िल्म 'हम तुम और वो' के इस गीत से मिलता हैI

रेखा की पहली फ़िल्म 'सावन भादों' में वर्मा के लिखे इस गीत ने कई साल तक धूम मचाए रखी 'कान में झुमका चाल में ठुमका कमर पे चोटी लटके हो गया दिल का पुर्जा पुर्जा लगे पचासी झटके', हो तेरा रंग है नशीला अंग-अंग है नशीला'। यह गीत काफ़ी लोकप्रिय रहा।
