India and Canada have agreed to formulate a shared work plan to guide cooperation on national security and law enforcement issues and to enable practical collaboration on respective priorities. The decision was taken during a meeting between National Security Adviser Ajit Doval and his Canadian counterpart Nathalie Drouin in Ottawa on Saturday. The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), yesterday sharing details of the meeting, said that the two sides acknowledged the progress on initiatives aimed at supporting the safety and security of their countries and citizens. The Ministry said, it was agreed that each country would establish security and law-enforcement liaison officers and that their respective agencies would build on working relationships.

The Bastar Pandum festival, currently underway at Jagdalpur, the headquarters of Bastar division in Chhattisgarh, has emerged as an important platform for showcasing tribal art and culture. Under Bastar Pandum, divisional-level competitions are being organised over three days, in which more than seven hundred artists from eighty-four teams, representing various districts of Bastar division, are presenting their performances.
During the festival, displays are being held in twelve different categories, including tribal dance, theatre, musical instruments and traditional cuisine, along with painting, handicrafts and jewellery art. Bastar Pandum has become a grand confluence of folk culture. Apart from Bastar division, folk artists from other states such as Madhya Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Karnataka have also captivated audiences with their performances. सत्तारूढ दल के पास गठबंधन सहयोगी जापान इनोवेशन पार्टी-इशिन के साथ मिलकर दो-तिहाई से अधिक का बहुमत है। इसके साथ ही सुश्री ताकाइची के शासन करने का जनादेश काफी मजबूत हो गया है।

Bengaluru South Member of Parliament Tejasvi Surya in a social media post said that, as assured the Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited has put the proposed Metro fare hike on hold from today. He has considered this as a victory for the people of Bengaluru who he alleged have opposed this unjust increase for over a year. He thanked Union minister for Urban Affairs Manohar Lal Khattar and the Central Government for their timely intervention to withhold the State Government’s proposal. Saying that this is a temporary relief, Surya said, the State Government must restore shadow cash support as done by earlier Governments and seek a new fare fixation committee for a fair, scientific and transparent revision.

प्रस्तावित भूमिगत मार्ग धूमदंगी और बागडोगरा के बीच 35 दशमलव 76 किलोमीटर तक फैला होगा, जिसमें 33 दशमलव 40 किलोमीटर का मुख्य खंड धूमदंगी को टिनमाइल हाट होते हुए रंगपानी से जोड़ेगा। हालांकि यह संकरा 22 किलोमीटर चौड़ा गलियारा नेपाल, भूटान और बांग्लादेश से घिरा है, इसलिए इस भूमिगत मार्ग को सतही मार्गों के एक “छिपे हुए” और सुरक्षित विकल्प के रूप में डिजाइन किया गया है। यह मार्ग अक्सर प्राकृतिक आपदाओं, यातायात जाम और सुरक्षा खतरों के प्रति संवेदनशील होते हैं।
