Central government has issued a gazette notification listing gallantry award citations for defence personnel for their acts of extraordinary courage during assorted operations, including Operation Sindoor. The citations included in the Gazette are mainly ofthe Indian Air Force and Indian Army personnel. The citations include heroes like Colonel Koshank Lamba and Lieutenant Colonel Sushil Bisht. Colonel Koshank Lamba has been awarded Vir Chakra for displaying exceptional bravery, valour and courage under fire reflecting the traditional martial ethos of Indian Army, the notification stated. Another Vir Chakra awardee is Lieutenant Colonel Sushil Bisht. During an Operation Lieutenant Colonel Bisht as Officer Commanding, displayed exceptional courage, leadership and operational brilliance. He led his unit to resounding success by causing complete destruction of terrorist camps. Fighter pilot Group Captain Ranjeet Singh Sidhu has been awarded the Vir Chakra for command of his squadron on effective strike missions against pre-selected targets, in which all operational tasks were accomplished. Group Captain Animesh Patni, flying a strategic Surface to Air Missile (SAM) squadron from a forward airbase, proved to be a great leader during a mission. His accurate direction caused immense damage to the enemy without inflicting any damage to his own resources, and he was awarded the Vir Chakra. Earlier, President Droupadi Murmu approved 127 Gallantry awards and 40 Distinguished Service awards to personnel of the Armed Forces and Central Armed Police Forces.

President Droupadi Murmu will visit Hill Shrine of Sabari Mala in Kerala today. The President arrived in Thiruvananthapuram last evening. President Droupadi Murmu will arrive at Nilakkal by helicopter from Thiruvananthapuram and proceed to Pampa, the base station of the Sabarimala Hill Shrine. The traditional rituals, including the tying of the Irumudi, will be performed at the Pampa Ganapathi Temple. Following this, the President will travel to the Sabarimala temple in a special vehicle.

नागर विमानन मंत्रालय ने कहा है कि क्षेत्रीय संपर्क योजना - उड़े देश का आम नागरिक (उड़ान) ने नौ वर्षों में तीन लाख 23 हजार उड़ानों के माध्यम से एक करोड़ 56 लाख से अधिक यात्रियों को सुविधा प्रदान की है। राष्ट्रीय नागर विमानन नीति के अंतर्गत 21 अक्तूबर 2016 को उड़ान योजना की शुरूआत की गई थी। योजना की 9वीं वर्षगांठ के अवसर पर नई दिल्ली में आयोजित एक कार्यक्रम को संबोधित करते हुए, नागर विमानन सचिव समीर कुमार सिन्हा ने इस बात पर प्रकाश डाला कि उड़ान एक परिवर्तनकारी पहल रही है जिसका उद्देश्य आम नागरिक के लिए हवाई यात्रा को किफ़ायती और सुलभ बनाना है।

India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a red colour warning for heavy to very heavy rainfall over Kerala, Mahe, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal for today. The Weather agency also forecast heavy to very heavy rainfall very likely at isolated places over Andhra Pradesh, Coastal Karnataka and South Interior Karnataka.
Meanwhile, The air quality in Delhi-NCR continues to remain in the poor category. According to the Central Pollution Control Board, Delhi's air quality index was recorded at 345 at 7 AM this morning. The sub-committee of the Commission for Air Quality Management has already imposed Graded Response Action Plan- GRAP-2 restrictions in the National Capital Region.

In Women's Cricket, South Africa beat Pakistan by 150 runs in a rain-affected round robin league match of ICC Women's World Cup in Colombo last night. Marizanne Kapp’s all-round brilliance and Laura Wolvaardt’s elegant 90 helped South Africa in crushing Pakistan via DLS method. After initial delay, the match was curtailed to 40-over per side with South Africa scoring 312. With this win, South Africa not only propelled them to the top of the points table but also sealed Pakistan’s exit from the competition. Today, Australia will take on England at 3 PM Indian Standard Time.
In Kabaddi, Indian boys’ and girls’ teams have registered an emphatic victories in the Asian Youth Games in Manama, Bahrain. Indian boys’ team crushed arch-rival Pakistan by 81-26 and the girls’ team overpowered Iran by 59-26. The Indian boys’ team produced a breathtaking performance to beat Pakistan, marking one of the largest-ever margins of victory in international Kabaddi history. Entering the match unbeaten after victories against Bangladesh and Sri Lanka earlier in the group stage, the team led by captain Aditya Dahiya delivered a flawless, high-intensity performance against Pakistan. The Indian girls have virtually sealed a place in the gold medal match, likely against Thailand, who remained unbeaten in the other group fixtures.
The 4th South Asian (SAAF) Athletics Championship 2025 is set to start from 24th of this month in Ranchi, Jharkhand. Ahead of the games, the official jersey of the championship was unveiled today in Ranchi. The championship will be held from 24th to 26th of this month at the Birsa Munda Football Stadium in Ranchi.

दिल्ली की मुख्यमंत्री रेखा गुप्ता ने कल प्रधानमंत्री नरेन्द्र मोदी से मुलाकात की। इस दौरान उन्होंने प्रधानमंत्री को दिल्ली के विकास संबंधित परियोजनाओं और आगामी छठ पूजा की तैयारियों से अवगत करवाया। श्रीमती गुप्ता ने कहा है कि प्रधानमंत्री के मार्गदर्शन में राजधानी, विकसित दिल्ली बनने की ओर तेजी से अग्रसर हो रही है। मुख्यमंत्री ने बताया कि राजधानी में इस बार छठ पूजा को भव्य और दिव्य बनाने के लिए दिल्ली सरकार व्यापक स्तर पर तैयारियां कर रही है, जिसके लिए यमुना नदी के दोनों किनारों पर विशेष छठ घाट तैयार किए जा रहे हैं, जहां व्रतधारियों के लिए सभी आवश्यक सुविधाएं उपलब्ध कराई जाएगी।
रेल मंत्री अश्विनी वैष्णव ने कल नई दिल्ली रेलवे स्टेशन का दौरा किया और वहां यात्रियों के लिए उपलब्ध व्यवस्थाओं और तैयारियों का जायजा लिया। मीडिया से बात करते हुए, मंत्री ने बताया कि दिवाली और छठ के इस त्योहारी सीज़न में अब तक एक करोड़ से ज़्यादा यात्री विशेष ट्रेनों से यात्रा कर चुके हैं। उन्होंने बताया कि दिल्ली क्षेत्र के अंतर्गत स्टेशनों से प्रतिदिन औसतन सवा चार लाख यात्री यात्रा कर रहे हैं।

आज का इतिहास जुड़ा है काकोरी कांड को अंजाम देने वाले चार क्रांतिकारियों में से एक अशफाक उल्ला खान से। आज इस महान क्रांतिकारी की जन्म जयंती है।म काकोरी कांड में राम प्रसाद बिस्मिल, अशफाक उल्ला खान, राजेंद्र लाहिड़ी और ठाकुर रोशन सिंह को फांसी दी गई थी। इन चारों क्रांतिकारियों को ब्रिटिश सरकार ने काकोरी ट्रेन डकैती में शामिल होने के कारण फांसी की सजा सुनाई थी।
अशफाक उल्ला खान: फांसी 19 दिसंबर 1927 को फैजाबाद जेल में दी गई। अशफाक उल्ला खान ने लिखा है
बुज़दिलों को सदा मौत से डरते देखा।
गो कि सौ बार रोज़ ही उन्हें मरते देखा।।
मौत से वीर को हमने नहीं डरते देखा।
तख्ता-ए-मौत पे भी खेल ही करते देखा।
स्वतंत्रता संग्राम का वो दौर था जब स्वतंत्रता सेनानी ने फांसी के फंदे को हंसते हंसते गले लगा लिया। वीरों के इस लम्बी फेहरिस्त में एक नाम भारत मां के लाल अमर शहीद अशफाक उल्ला खां का भी आता है। आज अशफाक उल्ला खां की जयंती है। अशफाक उल्ला खां भारत मां का वो बहादुर लाल हैं जो युवाओं के हौसलों में, उत्साह में, क्रांति के नवाचार में आज भी जिन्दा हैं। देश के लिए शहादत देने वाले अशफाक उल्ला खां हिंदू-मुस्लिम एकता के प्रबल समर्थक थे और एकता की मिसाल कायम रखने वाले प्रतीक बन आज भी प्रासंगिक हैं। आज अशफाक उल्ला खां की जन्म जयंती पर राम प्रसाद बिस्मिल का लिखा गीत चाहता है जो उनके साथ अंग्रेजों के खिलाफ काकोरी कांड में शामिल थे।

Ajit becamefamous for playing sophisticated villains. His deep voice, elegant mannerisms and unique style made him stand out. He popularised outfits like “bold” checkedsuits, overcoats, leather shoes and wide sunglasses in the 1960s and 70s. His journey tosuccess was difficult. Determined to act, he ran away to Mumbai, selling hisbooks to pay for the trip. He struggled to survive, working as an extra infilms before finally gaining recognition.
