Prime Minister Narendra Modi and UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan have condemned terrorism in all its forms and manifestations, including cross-border terrorism. Both the leaders emphasised that no country should provide safe haven to those who finance, plan, support or commit terrorist acts.
Both leaders agreed to continue cooperation within the framework of the Financial Action Task Force to counter terror financing and strengthen anti-money laundering efforts. They also directed their teams to work towards connecting Micro, Small and Medium Sector Enterprises. They called for the expeditious implementation of key initiatives, such as the Bharat Mart, the Virtual Trade Corridor and the Bharat-Africa Setu to promote MSME products across the Middle East, West Asia, Africa and the Eurasia region.
The two leaders expressed satisfaction on bilateral energy partnership and underscored the UAE’s contribution to country’s energy security. The leaders also welcomed the enactment of the Sustainable Harnessing and Advancement of Nuclear Energy for Transforming India (SHANTI) law, noting that it creates new opportunities for enhanced civil nuclear cooperation.

India has achieved a record electronics exports of 47 billion dollar in 2025. In a social media post, Electronics and IT Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw informed that around 30 billion dollar came from the production-linked incentive driven smartphone exports. He said that electronics is the third largest export item of the country. The Minister further said that electronic exports has increased 11 times since 2015. He added that 25 lakh new jobs were also created with strong women participation, opportunities for MSMEs and long‑term skilling of the youth.

Indian Navy Ship, INS Sudarshini will embark on a 10-month transoceanic expedition, on the voyage of Lokayan 26, today. Defence Ministry said that the ship will sail over 22 thousand nautical miles, visiting 18 foreign ports across 13 countries during the voyage. It will participate in Escale à Sète, in France, and SAIL 250, in New York, USA. Over two hundred Indian Navy and Indian Coast Guard trainees will undergo intensive sail training, gaining invaluable experience in long-range ocean navigation and traditional seamanship at sea. The Naval Ship will also participate in training interactions and maritime partnership engagements with the Navies of visiting countries. This will strengthen maritime cooperation and advance the vision of Mutual and Holistic Advancement for Security and Growth Across Regions, MAHASAGAR.

The Sixth Edition of Khelo India Winter Games will kick off from today in Leh City of Ladakh Union Territory. 21 States and Union Territories will compete in Ice Sporting Events -Hockey and Skating with 1000 participants which includes 472 athletes.
“Ladakh set to host the Khelo India Winter Games 2026 from today and the opening ceremony will take place later this morning at NDS Ice Hockey Rink in Leh city. Figure Skating, an Olympic Sport, has been introduced from this edition in addition to the existing speed skating and short track Skating. National Level Khelo India Winter Games is being organised under the Khelo India Scheme since 2020 and Ladakh has been hosting it ever since it constituted the game. Ice Hockey events will be held at NDS Ice Hockey Stadium and Ice Hockey Rink of Ladakh Scout Regimental Centre in Phyang while Guphuk Frozen Pond has been selected for Ice Skating events. Ahead of the event, Lieutenant Governor Kavinder Gupta yesterday visited all three venues and reviewed all the arrangements. The weather agency also predicted dense Fog condition at isolated places over Bihar, Haryana, Chandigarh and Delhi and Punjab today. The weather agency said that cold wave conditions are expected in Himachal Pradesh today.

The State Directorate of Drugs Control has issued an alert against a batch of Almont Kid syrup as tests found toxic chemical ethylene glycol contamination. The State banned the sale, purchase and consumption of Batch No AL 24002 manufactured by Tridus Remedies based in Bihar and ordered its immediate withdrawal from pharmacies and hospitals. Drugs control deputy Director has said that there was no supply of the drug within the State.

Greater Chennai Corporation has collected and disposed of 70.5 tonnes of old household items from across the city so far. A release said the waste was collected from 1871 residents under its weekly initiative. The initiative , started on October 11, 2025 allows residents to hand over bulky waste every Saturday after prior registration. Residents can book the service through the Namma Chennai App by calling the 1913 helpline .

The Central Industrial Security Force is set to launch the second edition of the CISF Vande Mataram , Coastal Cyclothon 2026, a landmark national initiative aimed at strengthening coastal security awareness, national unity and community participation. The Inspector General and DIG said that the Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Nityanand Rai will virtually flag off the CISF Vande Mataram Coastal Cyclone 2026 on 28th of this month from the Major Dhyan Chand National Stadium, New Delhi. He said, that India’s vast coastline is home to over 250 ports, including 72 Export-Import (EXIM) ports that handle nearly 95 per cent of the Nation’s trade.
These ports along with refineries , shipyards, and nuclear power plants located along the coast are critical to India’s economic growth and energy security . However they also face persistent threats such as smuggling of drugs, arms, explosives, infiltration and other illegal activities. For over five decades, CISF has been entrusted with safeguarding 12 major ports and other critical infrastructure along the coasts.
