Centre has notified the Central Motor Vehicles (Second Amendment) Rules, 2026 to strengthen compliance towards user fee payment at the toll plazas on National Highways. These amendments are aimed at improving user fee compliance, enhancing efficiency of Electronic Toll Collection and discouraging user fee evasion on National Highways. Road Transport and Highways Ministry said, these amendments will help NHAI in fostering transparent and technology-driven tolling systems for sustained development and maintenance of the National Highway network across the country. As per the provisions, a no objection certificate, NOC, for transfer of ownership or transfer of a vehicle from one State to another will not be granted until any unpaid user fee is cleared.

Arul Murugan also directed CMRL to initiate appropriate action, if it receives specific complaints from senior citizens and PwDs regarding the same.

यात्रियों की मांग को देखते हुए, सेंट्रल रेलवे मुंबई से कोल्हापुर, अमरावती और नांदेड़ के लिए आठ विशेष ट्रेनें चलाएगा। आधिकारिक विज्ञप्ति के अनुसार, ट्रेन संख्या 01039 24 जनवरी को रात 12:30 बजे कोल्हापुर मेट्रो स्टेशन से रवाना होगी और उसी दिन सुबह 11:45 बजे कोल्हापुर पहुंचेगी। मुंबई और नांदेड़ के बीच चलने वाली चार विशेष ट्रेनों में से, ट्रेन संख्या 01041 23 और 24 जनवरी को मुंबई एलटीटी से दोपहर 3:30 बजे प्रस्थान करेगी और अगले दिन सुबह 4 बजे नांदेड़ पहुंचेगी। मुंबई और अमरावती के बीच चलने वाली दो विशेष ट्रेनों में से, ट्रेन संख्या 01415 26 जनवरी को शाम 7:50 बजे पनवेल से प्रस्थान करेगी और अगले दिन दोपहर 12 बजे अमरावती पहुंचेगी।

The Parliamentary Standing Committee on Labour, Textiles and Skill Development has visited Employees State Insurance Corporation in Hyderabad on a study visit. The Committee under the chairmanship of the Lok Sabha member Basavaraj Bommai, studied the role, functions and duties of ESIC in general, with special reference to social security coverage and benefits extended to contractual employees engaged in the participating organisations during the visit. The ESIC in a social media statement said, Insurance Commissioner T. Renuka Prasad, Regional Director, Telangana Rajiv Lal, Regional Director, Andhra Pradesh Ramarao Malla and other senior officers met the committee and explained various details.

Telangana State Agriculture Minister T. Nageswara Rao has announced that the department will soon be introducing an app to provide certification for organic products. Speaking at a high-level review meeting in Hyderabad, the minister said the app will be used on similar lines of the fertiliser app, which was launched for smooth distribution of fertilizers. He said the app had received appreciation from all quarters including the Centre. He said the app, being operated in a few districts, will be available across the state by the Kharif season. The Minister instructed officials to maintain a buffer stock of urea for the Kharif season. The minister also directed officials to complete the satellite mapping with high accuracy at the earliest and to ensure that the satellite mapping data for crops across the state is available by the end of this month.
