The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will implement on-screen marking (OSM) for evaluation of Class 12 answer books from this year. However, evaluation of class 10 answer books will continue in physical mode as before.
CBSE Examination Controller Sanyam Bhardwaj said that the board has decided to introduce On-Screen Marking (OSM) for the evaluation of class 12 answer books beginning with this year examination in its continuous effort to enhance efficiency and transparency. The official explained the move will improve coordination and reduce manual intervention, besides eliminating totalling errors.

Municipal elections in Telangana concluded peacefully, apart from a few stray incidents, with electoral officials reporting a total voter turnout of 73.01 percent across the state. Voters turned out in large numbers to exercise their franchise. Specifically, the seven municipal corporations recorded a 66.05 percent turnout, while the 116 municipalities saw a much higher participation rate of 75.88 percent.
Among the municipalities, Choutuppal in Yadadri Bhuvanagiri district registered the highest turnout at 91.91 percent, whereas Nandikonda in Nalgonda district recorded the lowest at 59.68 percent. Female voters held a slight edge in participation, with a turnout of 73.39 percent compared to 72.63 percent for male voters. Officials stated that the counting of votes will take place on the 13th of this month.
