Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and his French counterpart Catherine Vautrin will co-chair 6th India-France Annual Defence Dialogue in Bengaluru today. The meeting will review the entire gamut of bilateral defence cooperation, with focus on expanding industrial collaboration.
During the meeting, a defence cooperation agreement is expected to be renewed for another 10 years, with an MoU on Joint Venture for manufacturing of Hammer missiles likely to be signed in the presence of both Defence Ministers. An announcement is also expected with respect to reciprocal deployment of officers at the Indian Army and French Land Forces establishments.

केंद्रीय माध्यमिक शिक्षा बोर्ड ने इस वर्ष से लागू दसवीं की नई बोर्ड परीक्षा योजना के तहत पात्रता नियमों पर आधिकारिक स्पष्टीकरण जारी किया है। यह स्पष्टीकरण उन छात्रों और अभिभावकों की जिज्ञासाओं के बाद जारी किया गया है, जो व्यक्तिगत या चिकित्सीय कारणों से पहली परीक्षा में शामिल नहीं हो पाने की स्थिति में दूसरी परीक्षा देने को लेकर जानकारी चाहते थे।
बोर्ड ने स्पष्ट किया है कि पहली बोर्ड परीक्षा में शामिल होना सभी विद्यार्थियों के लिए अनिवार्य है। यदि कोई छात्र पहली परीक्षा में तीन या उससे अधिक विषयों में अनुपस्थित रहता है, तो वह दूसरी परीक्षा के लिए पात्र नहीं होगा। ऐसे छात्रों को “अनिवार्य पुनरावृत्ति” श्रेणी में रखा जाएगा और वे संबंधित विषयों की परीक्षा अगले वर्ष फरवरी में होने वाली मुख्य परीक्षा में ही दे सकेंगे।
बोर्ड के अनुसार, दूसरी परीक्षा केवल निर्धारित श्रेणियों के छात्रों के लिए है। पहली परीक्षा पास कर चुके छात्र, जो अपने अंक सुधारना चाहते हैं, “सुधार” श्रेणी के तहत अधिकतम तीन मुख्य विषयों-विज्ञान, गणित, सामाजिक विज्ञान और भाषाओं-में दोबारा परीक्षा दे सकते हैं।
पहली परीक्षा में किसी एक विषय में अनुत्तीर्ण छात्र “कम्पार्टमेंट” श्रेणी के अंतर्गत दूसरी परीक्षा देकर उस विषय को उत्तीर्ण कर सकते हैं।
इसके अलावा, जो छात्र उत्तीर्ण हो चुके हैं लेकिन अपने पूरे परिणाम में सुधार के लिए किसी विषय को बदलना चाहते हैं, उन्हें भी दूसरी परीक्षा में बैठने की अनुमति दी जाएगी।

In Jammu and Kashmir, After a detailed security review, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha has ordered the reopening of several tourist places in Jammu and Kashmir that were earlier closed as a precaution.
In the Jammu Division, three tourist spots, Devi Pindi in Reasi, Mahu Mangat in Ramban and Mughal Maidan in Kishtwar have been reopened.
In the Kashmir Division, 11 tourist spots have reopened. Gurez and Athwatoo in Bandipora, Bangus in Kupwara, and Ramkund in Ramban will reopen after the snow is cleared. The move aims to boost tourism while maintaining security.

दिल्ली जल बोर्ड ने बताया कि भूमिगत जलाशय और बूस्टर पंपिंग स्टेशन की वार्षिक सफाई के कारण इस महीने की 18 और 19 तारीक को कई क्षेत्रों में जल आपूर्ति प्रभावित रहेगी। बोर्ड ने बताया कि 18 तारीक को मेहरौली क्षेत्र, नेहरू कालकाजी अपार्टमेंट, वसंत कुंज, तुग़लकाबाद एक्सटेंशन में जल आपूर्ति बाधित रहेगी। वही 19 तारीक को छतरपुर, नेहरू प्लेस और छुरिया मोहल्ला में जल आपूर्ति प्रभावित रहेगी। जल बोर्ड ने स्थानीय निवासियों से पर्याप्त मात्रा में पानी के भंडारण का अनुरोध किया है। आपातकाल स्थिति में जलबोर्ड के कंट्रोल नंबर 1 9 1 6 पर फोन कर पानी के टैंकर मंगाए जा सकते हैं।

Tambaram Corporation has set aside Rs. 3.7 crore to install water ATMs at 25 locations to provide safe drinking water round the clock. Around five lakh residents of Perungalathur, East Tambaram, and West Tambaram are expected to benefit. The ATMs will be placed in busy areas and monitored regularly to ensure steady supply and good quality water. Tambaram needs about 130 million litres of drinking water daily. While places like Chromepet and Pallavaram have piped water connections, many other areas depend on private water tankers. People can collect up to five litres of water at a time from the ATMs.

Defence minister Rajnath Singh visited Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL) in Bengaluru and inaugurated a new Missile Integration Facility. The Defence minister also flagged off the Akash 3rd and 4th Regiment Combat Systems and unveiled the Mountain Fire Control Radar.
He remotely inaugurated BEL’s Centre of Excellence for Artificial Intelligence in Pune and launched the company’s AI Policy.
During the visit, he reviewed advanced indigenous defence technologies, including AI-based solutions developed by Indian start-ups. He praised BEL’s progress in electronic warfare, avionics, naval systems, electro-optics, and tank electronics.

आज पुण्यतिथि है वासुदेव बलवन्त फड़के की। उनका जन्म- 4 नवम्बर, 1845 को महाराष्ट्र में हुआ था। (मृत्यु- 17 फ़रवरी, 1883 ई. ‘अदन’) वे ब्रिटिश सरकार के विरुद्ध सशस्त्र विद्रोह का संगठन करने वाले भारत के प्रथम क्रान्तिकारी थे। वासुदेव बलवन्त फड़के का जन्म महाराष्ट्र के रायगड ज़िले के ‘शिरढोणे’ नामक गांव में हुआ था। फड़के ने 1857 ई. की प्रथम संगठित महाक्रांति की विफलता के बाद आज़ादी के महासमर की पहली चिंंनगारी जलायी थी। देश के लिए अपनी सेवाएँ देते हुए 1879 ई. में फड़के अंग्रेज़ों द्वारा पकड़ लिये गए और आजन्म कारावास की सज़ा देकर इन्हें अदन भेज दिया गया। यहाँ पर फड़के को कड़ी शारीरिक यातनाएँ दी गईं। इसी के फलस्वरूप 1883 ई. को इनकी मृत्यु हो गई।
Union Home Minister Amit Shah paid tributes to great freedom fighter Vasudev Balwant Phadke on his death anniversary. In a social media post, Mr Shah said that Phadke laid the foundation for armed revolution against British rule, connecting the youth with the goal of freedom for the motherland. The Home Minister noted that the freedom fighter will remain a role model of patriotism for every young person in the country.
