Prime Minister Narendra Modi will arrive in Oman today evening on the last leg of his three-nation tour after concluding his visit to Jordan and Ethopia. Mr Modi is visiting Oman at the invitation of the Head of State of the Sultanate of Oman, Sultan Haitham bin Tarik. Prime Minister Modi will be accompanied by a high-level delegation. India and Oman are likely to sign Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) during Mr Modi’s two-day visit.
India and Oman share a close cultural bond, rooted in millennia-old people-to-people exchanges and the presence of a substantial Indian community in Oman.
Indian Embassy, in association with the National Archives of India (NAI), had conducted a first of its kind special digitization and oral history project, titled ‘The Oman Collection – Archival Heritage of the Indian Community in Oman’, last year. Under this project, digitization of over 7,000 historical records of 32 old Indian diaspora families living in Oman for more than 250 years was done. These documents included personal diaries, account books, trade invoices, passports, letters, etc. These documents, dating from 1838 to early 20th century, were in English, Arabic, Gujarati and Hindi.
As the Prime Minister is arriving on a two-day visit to Oman starting from today evening, our correspondent covering his visit has filed this report explaining how strong people to people ties are here between Indian and Omani communities.
One of the families from Kuchh of Gujrat that has settled here for the last about 100 years has carved out a special respect for themselves and the Indian community. Sh. Vijay Sinh Veljee Pawani, an 80 years old, who was born and brought up here said that both Indians and Omanis are living here like family and have a lot of respect for each other.

Delhi Government has taken strong measures to tackle the issue of air pollution in the national capital. Addressing a press conference, Delhi Environment Minister Manjinder Singh Sirsa said that vehicles without proper Pollution Under Control (PUC) Certificate will not be provided fuel at petrol pumps from tomorrow. The minister further announced that there will be complete ban on trucks bringing construction material in Delhi. Moreover, private vehicles from outside Delhi with less than BS6 category will not be allowed to enter the national capital from tomorrow.

The Viksit Bharat-Guarantee for Rozgar and Ajeevika Mission (Gramin) or VB-G RAM G Bill, 2025, introduced Lok Sabha has proposed a statutory guarantee of 125 days of wage employment annually for rural families. The Bill was introduced by Union Minister for Rural Development and Agriculture & Farmers Welfare Shivraj Singh Chauhan yesterday. Presenting the Bill, he said the government remains committed to the welfare of the poor and the holistic development of villages, in line with Mahatma Gandhi’s vision of self-reliant and developed rural communities. Mr Chouhan said the Centre has committed to spending over 95 thousand crore rupees on the proposed initiative. As national development advances, rural development programs require periodical revision to remain aligned with emerging needs and further aspirations. In the vastly changed circumstances of today, a transformational approach to rural development is essential to achieve the objectives of Viksit Bharat @2047. Therefore, the Government has resolved to enhance the wage-employment guarantee for rural households from one hundred days to one hundred and twenty-five days per financial year for anchoring rural asset creation through the enactment of an appropriate Act.

The Bill uses a structured thematic prioritisation of public works so that each day of guaranteed employment creates productive and durable rural assets. All works identified through the Viksit Gram Panchayat Plans are integrated into the Viksit Bharat – National Rural Infrastructure Stack, creating a unified and forward- looking rural infrastructure framework fully aligned with the Viksit Bharat vision.
The Bill establishes a modern, transparent and technology- enabled governance architecture– to ensure effective implementation, accountability and high- integrity service delivery. In a rural India marked by deeper digital penetration, improved connectivity and expanded public infrastructure, governance systems will be strengthened through digital public infrastructure, real- time monitoring and enhanced transparency mechanisms. The framework provides for biometric authentication, mobile- based monitoring, spatial- technology- enabled planning, real- time dashboards, AI- enabled analytics and citizen engagement platforms.
How is the new Act different from MGNREGA? What makes it better?
The new Act represents a major upgrade over MGNREGA, fixing structural weaknesses while enhancing employment, transparency, planning, and accountability. Key improvements include:
o Higher Employment Guarantee: Guarantee increases from 100 → 125 days, giving rural households higher income security.

What were the problems with MNREGA that necessitated a change?
1. * In 2024-25, misappropriation totalled ₹193.67 crore across states. Only 7.61% of households completed 100 days in the post-pandemic period.
2. These entrenched issues such as leakages, weak verification, and poor compliance required a new framework, not minor tweaks. The Act creates a clean, digitally governed, accountable, and infrastructure-focused system.

Low value plastic can be used to produce electricity. There is demand for it in cement factories, where Low value plastic is burnt at high temperatures in cement kilns . As a first step Bengaluru Solid Waste Management Limited dispatched 160 tonnes of LVP to Dalmia Cement. The agreement is to sent 250 tonnes , everyday. रहीम दास
एक प्रसिद्ध कवि और मुगल सम्राट अकबर के प्रसिद्ध शिष्यों में से एक थे। रहीम दास न केवल अपनी कविता के लिए बल्कि अपने प्रशासन कौशल के लिए भी जाने जाते थे क्योंकि उन्होंने मुगल दरबार में कई महत्वपूर्ण पदों पर कार्य किया था। वह अकबर के दरबार के नवरत्नों या नौ रत्नों में से एक था। यह जीवनी भारत के महानतम कवियों में से एक, रहीम दास के जीवन और उपलब्धियों को कवर करेगी। Rahim das ने अपनी कविताओं में सरल भाषा का उपयोग किया है | इसलिए वे जनता के बीच बहुत लोकप्रिय है | उनकी कविताएं सामाजिक और आध्यात्मिक विषयों पर आधारित होती थीं। उन्होंने अपनी कविताओं में भावुकता व प्रेम को संवाद के जरिए व्यक्त किया। वे जीवन के विभिन्न पहलुओं को अपनी कविताओं में व्यक्त करते थे। उन्होंने अपनी कविताओं में बाल मजदूरी, महिला सशक्तिकरण, समाज में समानता आदि विषयों पर व्यंग्य भी किया था। उनकी शैली सरल, सुगम और स्पष्ट थी। उन्होंने अपनी कविताओं में सामान्य जनता के भावों को संवाद के जरिए व्यक्त किया था। उनकी कविताएं आसान भाषा में लिखी जाती थीं जो जनता के बीच बहुत ही लोकप्रिय थीं।
Jalal ad-Din Muhammad Rumi more popularly simply as Rumi (30 September 1207 – 17 December 1273), was a 13th-century Persian poet, faqih, Islamic scholar, theologian, and Sufi mystic originally from Greater Khorasan. Rumi’s influence transcends national borders and ethnic divisions: Iranians, Tajiks, Turks, Greeks, Pashtuns, other Central Asian Muslims, and the Muslims of South Asia have greatly appreciated his spiritual legacy for the past seven centuries.
रूमी विश्व के जाने-माने कवि हैं और कबीर साहिब के बाद दूसरा नंबर रूमी का आता है। पश्चिमी देशों में रूमी काफी मशहूर हैं। रूमी की कविताएँ भारत के साथ साथ अमेरिका में सबसे ज्यादा बिकती हैं।
रूमी कहते थे-

जहाँ दर जहाँ नक़्श तज्सीम हैं
हमारे वुजूद इन में हैं कौन से
रूमी ने अपनी कविता संग्रह का नाम अपने पीर शम्श तबरेज़ के नाम पर दीवाने-शम्स तबरेज़ रखा है जिस में पचास हज़ार शेर हैं।
उनकी दूसरी किताब है मसनवी मौलवी मानवी जिसे मसनवी मौलाना रूम के नाम से भी जाना जाता है. इसमें 27 हज़ार से भी अधिक शेर हैं. लेकिन यह किताब अधूरी रह गई और उन्होंने लिखवाना बंद कर दिया। हर फ़र्द किसी ख़ास मक़सद के लिए पैदा होता है और उस वक़्त के हुसूल की ख़्वाहिश पहले ही से उसके दिल में रख दी जाती है।

Performing over four decades, he recorded the songs “Baby Please Don’t Go”, “Crawlin’ King Snake” and “Peach Orchard Mama”, among many others, for various record labels, including Bluebird, Delmark, Okeh, Prestige and Vocalion.
He was inducted into the Blues Hall of Fame on October 4, 1992.The blues historian Barry Lee Pearson (Sounds Good to Me: The Bluesman’s Story, Virginia Piedmont Blues) described Williams’s performance: When I saw him playing at Mike Bloomfield’s “blues night” at the Fickle Pickle, Williams was playing an electric nine-string guitar through a small ramshackle amp with a pie plate nailed to it and a beer can dangling against that.
When he played, everything rattled but Big Joe himself. The total effect of this incredible apparatus produced the most buzzing, sizzling, African-sounding music I have ever heard.

Ludwig van Beethoven ( ( baptised 17 December 1770 – 26 March 1827) was a German composer and pianist.
A crucial figure in the transition between the classical and romantic eras in classical music, he remains one of the most recognized and influential musicians of this period, and is considered to be one of the greatest composers of all time.
He displayed his musical talents at an early age and was vigorously taught by his father Johann van Beethoven, and was later taught by composer and conductor Christian Gottlob Neefe.
At age 21, he moved to Vienna and studied composition with Joseph Haydn.
Beethoven then gained a reputation as a virtuoso pianist, and was soon courted by Karl Alois, Prince Lichnowsky for compositions, which resulted in Opus 1 in 1795. The piece was a great critical and commercial success, and was followed by Symphony No.1 in 1800.
This composition was distinguished for its frequent use of sforzandi, as well as sudden shifts in tonal centers that were uncommon for traditional symphonic form, and the prominent, more independent use of wind instruments.

He joked that his assistant Michael Faraday was his greatest discovery. Davy was a baronet, President of the Royal Society (PRS), Member of the Royal Irish Academy (MRIA), and Fellow of the Geological Society (FGS). Berzelius called Davy’s 1806 Bakerian Lecture On Some Chemical Agencies of Electricity “one of the best memoirs which has ever enriched the theory of chemistry.”
