The India AI Impact Summit commencing on the 16th of this month in New Delhi has received over 35 thousand registrations. The Ministry of Electronics and IT informed that the five day event is expected to witness participation from over hundred countries, including 15 to 20 Heads of Government, Ministers from various countries, and over 40 CEOs of leading global and Indian companies. The Ministry added that around five hundred prominent figures from the global AI ecosystem, including innovators, researchers and Chief Technology Officers, are also expected to attend the summit.

Ministry of Culture said that India’s National Pavilion will return to Venice after seven years with the group exhibition Geographies of Distance: Remembering Home. Emphasizing India’s return to the Venice Biennale, Minister for Culture and Tourism, Gajendra Singh Shekhawat said that it is a proud moment and a statement of cultural confidence. He said the Pavilion will present a contemporary India that remains deeply rooted in its civilizational memory while actively engaging with the world, showcasing the country’s cultural diversity and creative vitality on a global platform. The Pavilion will feature works by five leading Indian artists. The exhibition will be held at the Arsenale in Venice from the 9th of May to the 22nd of November this year, with previews scheduled for the 6th, 7th and 8th of May.

The British Council library in Chennai on Mount Road will shut down after nearly 60 years as its lease ends. The library is now selling its books, which will be available for purchase until the 15th of this month. In a letter to members, the British Council said it has over 1.6 lakh digital library members across India and believes an online-first model is more inclusive and accessible. The Organisation stated tt will continue operating digitally and may look for a new physical location in the future.

Greater Bengaluru Authority Chief Commissioner Maheshwar Rao has warned traders to renew their trade licences and pay fees before April 1 to avoid penalties. Traders who pay before February 28 will not face any penalty, those paying between March 1 and March 31 will be charged a 25 percent penalty, and payments after April 1 will attract a 100 percent penalty. Licences will not be renewed for businesses operating in unauthorised buildings, parking areas, or rooftops. the Chief Commissioner said, traders must also submit waste management agreements, and marriage halls, hotels, and food outlets must declare with proof that they do not use single-use plastic and that they segregate wet and dry waste.

Ahead of the upcoming municipal and corporation elections in Telangana, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) state unit released a comprehensive Charge Sheet” titled “Fake Guarantees Deceptive Promises,” targeting the Congress government’s two-year tenure.
The BJP accused the ruling dispensation of failing to honor its “Six Guarantees” and over 420 election promises, claiming the state is currently gripped by a financial crisis that has delayed salaries for government employees and university professors.

अल्ला रक्खा ख़ाँ (जन्म- 29 अप्रैल, 1919; मृत्यु- 3 फ़रवरी, 2000) सुविख्यात तबला वादक, भारत के सर्वश्रेष्ठ एकल और संगीत वादकों में से एक थे। इनका पूरा नाम क़ुरैशी अल्ला रक्खा ख़ाँ है। अल्ला रक्खा ख़ाँ अपने को पंजाब घराने का मानते थे। अल्ला रक्खा ख़ाँ 12 वर्ष की उम्र से ही तबले के सुर और ताल में माहिर थे। उस्ताद क़ादिर बक्श से भी उन्होंने तबला वादन की शिक्षा ली। अल्ला रक्खा ख़ाँ ने अपना व्यावसायिक जीवन एक संगीतकार के रूप में पंजाब में ही शुरू किया। 1945 से 1948 के बीच सिनेमा जगत् में भी अपनी किस्मत आज़मायी। संगीत के क्षेत्र में आपके योगदान को स्वीकार करते हुए भारत सरकार के द्वारा सन् 1977 ई. में आपको पद्मश्री के सम्मान से अलंकृत किया गया। सन् 1982 ई. में संगीत नाटक अकादमी ने भी आपको जीवन पर्यंत संगीत सेवा के लिये अकादमी अवार्ड से सम्मानित किया। तो आइए आपको सुनाते हैं उनकी एक तबला बंदिश।
