भारतीय जनता पार्टी सांसद इंदु बाला गोस्वामी ने कहा कि देश की 70 प्रतिशत आबादी गांवों में रहती है और इस विधेयक का उद्देश्य ग्रामीणों के जीवन को बेहतर बनाना है। उन्होंने कहा कि यह विधेयक विकसित भारत बनाने में सहायक होगा। कांग्रेस सांसद मल्लिकार्जुन खड़गे ने कहा कि यह विधेयक प्रवर समिति को भेजा जाना चाहिए।

Violence has erupted in Bangladesh following the death of student leader Osman Hadi during treatment in Singapore. Hadi was shot by masked attackers in Dhaka last week and died of his injuries yesterday, while being treated in Singapore.
As news of his death emerged, hundreds of his supporters gathered in a square in the capital city to protest. Demonstrators vandalised the offices of prominent Bangladeshi newspapers The Daily Star and Prothom Ali, with one building set on fire.
Protesters attacked the residence of India’s Assistant High Commissioner in Chattogram, raising serious concerns over the security of diplomatic premises. As the situation escalated, law enforcement agencies fired tear gas shells to disperse the protesters.
Local media reported that fresh tensions had already been building in Chattogram last night, with miscreants engaging in stone-pelting and acts of vandalism near the residence of the Indian Assistant High Commission. The unrest reportedly caused fear among Indian officials and staff members living in the vicinity.

रेलवे क्रिसमस और नए साल के दौरान यात्रियों की सुविधा के लिए नौ ज़ोन में 138 विशेष रेलगाडि़यां चलाएगा। इसके लिए 650 फेरे मंज़ूर किए गए हैं। रेल मंत्रालय ने बताया कि पश्चिमी रेलवे सबसे ज़्यादा 26, मध्य रेलवे 18 जबकि दक्षिण मध्य रेलवे भी 26 गाडि़यां चला रहा है। दक्षिण पूर्व मध्य रेलवे इस दौरान त्योहारों में यात्रियों की सुविधा के लिए 12 रेलगाडि़यां चला रहा है। मंत्रालय ने कहा कि इन विशेष ट्रेनों को चलाकर रेलवे यात्रियों को आराम और सुविधा दे रहा है, जिससे यात्रियों को बिना परेशानी के क्रिसमस और नया साल मनाने में मदद मिलेगी।

मुख्यमंत्री रेखा गुप्ता ने कल कश्मीरी गेट-अंतर्राज्यीय बस टर्मिनल से सौ नई इलेक्ट्रिक बसों को झंडी दिखाकर रवाना किया। इस अवसर पर श्रीमती गुप्ता ने कहा कि सरकार का लक्ष्य अगले वर्ष तक डीटीसी की सभी बसों को इलेक्ट्रिक बनाना है, ताकि दिल्ली का सार्वजनिक परिवहन पूरी तरह उत्सर्जन-मुक्त हो सके। उन्होंने कहा कि दिल्ली परिवहन निगम के बेड़े में जुड़ रही यह बसें राजधानी में प्रदूषण नियंत्रण की दिशा में एक महत्वपूर्ण कदम हैं।

राष्ट्रीय अन्वेषण अभिकरण – एन आई ए ने पिछले महीने हुए दिल्ली बम धमाके के सिलसिले में एक और आरोपी को गिरफ्तार किया है। गिरफ्तार आरोपी जम्मू-कश्मीर के शोपियां का रहने वाला यासिर अहमद डार है। यासिर को एनआईए की एक टीम ने दिल्ली से पकड़ा। एजेंसी ने उसे लाल किले के इलाके में हुए उस आतंकी हमले की साजिश में शामिल पाया, जिसमें 11 लोग मारे गए और कई अन्य घायल हुए थे। इस मामले में अब तक नौ लोगों को गिरफ्तार किया जा चुका है।

जल शक्ति मंत्रालय आज नई दिल्ली में सुजल ग्राम संवाद का दूसरा संस्करण आयोजित कर रहा है। मंत्रालय ने बताया कि एक बहुभाषी मंच के रूप में यह महत्वपूर्ण पहल केंद्र और ग्रामीण समुदायों के बीच सीधे संवाद की पूर्ति करती है। सुजल ग्राम संवाद नीति निर्माताओं और जमीनी स्तर के लोगों के बीच एक सेतु बनाने के लिए अपनी तरह की पहली पहल है। दिल्ली जल बोर्ड ने बताया है कि भूमिगत जलाशय और बूस्टर पंपिंग स्टेशन की वार्षिक सफाई कार्यक्रम के कारण राजधानी के कुछ इलाकों में कल और 22 दिसंबर को पानी की आपूर्ति प्रभावित रहेगी। जल बोर्ड के अनुसार कल मयूर विहार फेस-तीन के डीडीए फ्लैट्स में पानी की आपूर्ति प्रभावित रहेगी। वहीं, 22 तारीख को निर्माण विहार, प्रीत विहार, लक्ष्मी नगर, शकरपुर, सरोजिनी नगर में पानी की सप्लाई प्रभावित रहेगी। जल बोर्ड ने लोगों को सलाह दी है कि वे अपनी ज़रूरत के अनुसार पहले से पानी जमा कर ले। पानी के टैंकर टेलीफ़ोन नंबर- 1 9 1 6 पर उपलब्ध रहेंगे।

Chief Election Commissioner of India, Gyanesh Kumar, will be holding a meeting with Booth Level Officers from Telangana on Sunday in Hyderabad. A press release stated that the CEC will have an interaction meeting with BLOs of Telangana at Ravindra Bharati in the state capital. 19 तारीख पर हमारे देश के इतिहास में एक और बड़ी घटना दर्ज है. 19 दिसंबर, 1961 को ही भारतीय सेना ने गोवा को 450 साल के पुर्तगाली साम्राज्य से आजाद कराया था. ‘ऑपरेशन विजय’ के तहत भारतीय सैनिकों ने गोवा में प्रवेश किया था. इस ऑपरेशन की शुरुआत 18 दिसम्बर, 1961 को की गई थी और अंतत: 19 दिसम्बर को पुर्तगाली सेना ने आत्मसमर्पण किया था.

हम याद कर रहे हैं राम प्रसाद ‘बिस्मिल’ को, उनकी पुण्यतिथि पर। वे न सिर्फ भारत के महान् स्वतन्त्रता सेनानी थे, बल्कि उच्च कोटि के कवि, शायर, अनुवादक, बहुभाषाविद् व साहित्यकार भी थे जिन्होंने भारत की आज़ादी के लिये अपने प्राणों की आहुति दे दी। ‘बिस्मिल के लिखे ‘सरफ़रोशी की तमन्ना’ जैसे अमर गीत ने हर भारतीय के दिल में जगह बनाई और अंग्रेज़ों से भारत की आज़ादी के लिए वो चिंगारी छेड़ी जिसने ज्वाला का रूप लेकर ब्रिटिश शासन के भवन को लाक्षागृह में परिवर्तित कर दिया।
ब्रिटिश साम्राज्य को दहला देने वाले काकोरी काण्ड को रामप्रसाद बिस्मिल ने ही अंजाम दिया था।

आज ही पुण्यतिथि है, जाने माने लेखक, संपादक, छायाकार और गांधीवादी पर्यावरणविद् अनुपम मिश्र की। महाराष्ट्र के वर्धा में सरला मिश्र और प्रसिद्ध हिन्दी कवि भवानी प्रसाद मिश्र के यहाँ सन 1948 में जन्में अनुपम मिश्र, पर्यावरण के लिए वह तब से काम कर रहे थे, जब से देश में पर्यावरण का कोई विभाग नहीं खुला था। बगैर बजट के मिश्र ने देश और दुनिया के पर्यावरण की जिस बारीकी से खोज-खबर ली है, वह कई सरकारों, विभागों और परियोजनाओं के लिए भी संभव नहीं था।

हम याद कर रहे हैं, भारतीय सिनेमा जगत में प्रसिद्ध चरित्र अभिनेता ओम प्रकाश को, आज उनकी जयंती है। इनका पूरा नाम ‘ओम प्रकाश बक्शी’ था। 1919 को जम्मू में जन्में ओमप्रकाश ने लगभग 350 फ़िल्मों में काम किया और अपने अनोखे और दिलचस्प किरदारों से लोगों के दिलों में एक अमिट छाप छोड़ी। ‘पड़ोसन’, ‘जूली’, ‘दस लाख’, ‘चुपके-चुपके’, ‘बैराग’, ‘शराबी’, ‘नमक हलाल’, ‘प्यार किए जा’, ‘खानदान’, ‘चौकीदार’, ‘लावारिस’, ‘आंधी’, ‘लोफर’, ‘ज़ंजीर’ जैसी न जाने कितने ही फिल्मों में उन्होंने यादगार भूमिकाएं निभाई हैं। उनकी अंतिम फ़िल्म थी- ‘नौकर बीवी का’ महानायक अमिताभ बच्चन की फ़िल्मों में वे ख़ासे सराहे गए। ‘नमक हलाल’ का दद्दू और ‘शराबी’ का मुंशीलाल बनकर ओमप्रकाश ने प्रत्येक भारतीय के दिल में जगह बनाई।
