प्रधानमंत्री नरेन्द्र मोदी ने राज्यों से विनिर्माण और व्यापार सुगमता को बढ़ावा देने तथा भारत को वैश्विक सेवा केन्द्र बनाने का आग्रह किया है। नई दिल्ली में मुख्य सचिवों के पांचवें राष्ट्रीय सम्मेलन को संबोधित करते हुए श्री मोदी ने कहा कि भारत जल्द ही राष्ट्रीय विनिर्माण मिशन का शुभारंभ करेगा। उन्होंने प्रत्येक राज्य से इसे शीर्ष प्राथमिकता देकर वैश्विक कंपनियों को आकृष्ट करने के लिए बुनियादी ढ़ांचा सृजित करने का आग्रह किया। विकसित भारत के लिए मानव संसाधन विषय पर तीन दिन का यह सम्मेलन इस महीने की 26 तारीख को शुरू हुआ था।
भारत की जनसांख्यिकी उपलब्धि का उल्लेख करते हुए प्रधानमंत्री ने कहा कि देश की लगभग 70 प्रतिशत आबादी कार्यशील वर्ग में है, जिससे आर्थिक प्रगति के लिए विशिष्ट अवसर उपलब्ध है।
विकसित भारत को गुणवत्ता और उत्कृष्टता का पर्याय बताते हुए श्री मोदी ने सभी हितधारकों से औसत परिणामों से आगे निकलने का आग्रह किया।
प्रधानमंत्री ने आयात पर निर्भरता कम करने और देश की आर्थिक मजबूती के लिए केन्द्र और राज्यों से घरेलू विनिर्माण के लिए एक सौ उत्पाद की पहचान करने का आग्रह किया।
प्रधानमंत्री ने कहा पर्यटन क्षेत्र युवाओं के लिए आजीविका सुनिश्चित करने में महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका निभा सकता है। उन्होंने राज्यों से अपने क्षेत्र में कम से कम एक विश्व-स्तरीय पर्यटन स्थल विकसित करने को कहा।
प्रधानमंत्री ने कहा कि भारत को विश्व का पसंदीदा खान-पान स्थल बनाना होगा और इसके लिए कृषि और दुग्ध उत्पादों तथा मत्स्य क्षेत्र की गुणवत्ता बढ़ानी होगी। उन्होंने राज्यों से महत्वपूर्ण पांडुलिपियों के डिजिटीकरण के लिए ज्ञान भारतम् मिशन के उपयोग का आग्रह किया।

The Supreme Court has taken suo motu cognisance of concerns arising from a recent change in the definition of the Aravalli Hills. A vacation Bench, comprising Chief Justice of India Surya Kant, Justices J.K. Maheshwari and A.G. Masih, is scheduled to hear the matter today. The apex court’s intervention follows public protests and strong objections over the redefinition of the Aravalli Hills. Environmental organisations and civil society groups have warned that dilution of the definition may legitimise mining and construction activities in the region, resulting in irreversible harm to the fragile ecosystem.

The Ministry of Railways said that innovation, focused efforts, and indigenisation are helping transform Indian Railways into a world-class network. It announced that the first Vande Bharat Sleeper for AC travellers will soon be operational. As of 26th December, 164 Vande Bharat trains are running. The Ministry added that this year Prime Minister Narendra Modi dedicated 42 projects to the Nation, inaugurated 13 projects and laid the foundation stone for 21 projects worth of over 25 thousand crore rupees.

CHENNAI
The much-awaited Kilambakkam Railway Station, located near the new Kilambakkam Chennai Bus Terminus (KCBT), is gearing up for a January 2026 opening. The station is set to bring major relief to thousands of south-bound commuters.
KCBT, located about 40 km south of Chennai Central, was built to reduce traffic congestion in the city by diverting south-bound buses. However, passengers especially from North Chennai have faced difficulties reaching the terminus, often struggling with heavy luggage and limited connectivity.
To address this, a new railway station is being built at a cost of 20 crore rupees.

Ahed of the New Year’s Eve celebrations in the City, Karnataka Home Minister Dr G Parameshwar reviewed the security arrangements in Bengaluru. After a meeting with senior police officers, he said around 20,000 police personnel will be deployed to maintain law and order.
Of these, 14,000 will handle law and order and 2,500 will manage traffic. In addition, 400 traffic wardens, along with Civil Defence volunteers and Home Guards, will assist the public.

The winter session of the Telangana State Legislature will begin later this morning. The house is likely to witness a detailed discussion on water-sharing issues relating to Krishna and Godavari Rivers. Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy has already said the river water sharing issues will be discussed during the session.

He was a secretary of the London Indian Society founded by Dadabhai Naoroji in 1865. He was one of the founders and the first president of Indian National Congress in 1885 at Bombay, serving again as president in 1892 at Allahabad. Bonnerjee financed the British Committee of Congress and its journals in London. Along with Naoroji, Eardley Norton and William Digby he started the Congress Political Agency, a branch of Congress in London. He unsuccessfully contested the 1892 United Kingdom general election as a Liberal party candidate for the Barrow and Furness seat. In 1893, Naoroji, Bonnerjee and Badruddin Tyabji founded the Indian Parliamentary Committee in England.

BackgroundDeenanath Mangeshkar was born in Mangeshi, Goa on 29 December 1900. His father, Ganesh Bhatt Bhikoba (Bhikambhatt) Navathe Hardikar (Abhisheki) was a married Karhade Brahmin: 47 who served as priest at the famous Mangeshi Temple in Goa. His mother Yesubai Rane was his father’s mistress belonging to the Devadasi community of Goa, which is now known as Gomantak Maratha Samaj. In his teens, he adopted the surname “Mangeshkar,” which means “of Mangesh.” Mangesh is also the name of the deity worshipped in the Mangeshi Temple. As a Devadasi, Yesubai was a reputed musician. In 1932, Sagar started his film career as a clapper boy in a silent film, Raiders of the Rail Road.
He then shifted to Bombay in 1949 after India’s partition.In 1944, He acted in Punjabi film Koel, Directed by Roop K. Shorey, made in Lahore released on Friday,24 November by Film Company Shorey Pictures. In the 1940s, Sagar started out as an assistant stage manager in Prithvi Theatres of Prithviraj Kapoor. He also directed a few plays under the fatherly guidance of Kapoor. Along with other films that Sagar himself directed, he wrote the story and screenplay for Raj Kapoor’s superhit Barsaat.

राजेश खन्ना की पहली प्रदर्शित फ़िल्म का नाम ‘आखिरी खत’ था। राजेश खन्ना ने लगभग 163 फ़िल्मों में अभिनय किया, जिसमें 106 फ़िल्मों वे मुख्य नायक रहे। राजेश खन्ना को तीन बार फ़िल्मफेयर पुरस्कार मिला और 14 बार नामांकित हुए। उनकी मुख्य फिल्में ‘कटी पतंग’, ‘आनन्द’, ‘आन मिलो सजना’, ‘महबूब की मेंहदी’, ‘हाथी मेरे साथी’, ‘दो रास्ते’, ‘दुश्मन’, ‘बावर्ची’ आदि हैं।
Rajesh Khanna was one of eight finalists from more than 10,000 contestants in the 1965 All India Talent Contest, organised by United Producers and Filmfare, along with other FTII students Subhash Ghai and Dheeraj Kumar. Khanna won the contest along with Farida Jalal. BR Chopra, Bimal Roy, GP Sippy, HS Rawail, Nasir Husain, J.Om Prakash, Mohan Saigal, Shakti Samanta and Subodh Mukherji and others had created the United Producers organisation and were then judges of the contest.
He made his film debut in the 1966 film Aakhri Khat, directed by Chetan Anand, followed by Raaz (1967), directed by Ravindra Dave, both of which were a part of his predetermined prize for winning the All-India United Producers’ Talent Competition. G.P. Sippy and Nasir Hussain were the first to sign Khanna after he won the contest.
