नई दिल्ली के भारत मंडपम में आज भारत निर्वाचन आयोग और राज्य निर्वाचन आयुक्तों का राष्ट्रीय गोलमेज सम्मेलन आयोजित होगा। यह गोलमेज सम्मेलन 27 वर्षों के लंबे अंतराल के बाद आयोजित हो रहा है। पिछला सम्मेलन वर्ष 1999 में हुआ था। मुख्य निर्वाचन आयुक्त ज्ञानेश कुमार सम्मेलन की अध्यक्षता करेंगे। इस अवसर पर निर्वाचन आयुक्त डॉ. सुखबीर सिंह संधू और डॉ. विवेक जोशी भी उपस्थित रहेंगे। सभी राज्यों और केंद्र शासित प्रदेशों के राज्य निर्वाचन आयुक्त अपने कानूनी और तकनीकी विशेषज्ञों के साथ सम्मेलन में भाग लेंगे। इसके अलावा, सभी राज्यों और केंद्र शासित प्रदेशों के मुख्य चुनाव अधिकारी भी सम्मेलन में शामिल होंगे।
President Droupadi Murmu will be on a four day visit to Maharashtra, Jharkhand and Rajasthan from today. The President will inaugurate the nationwide campaign ‘Saving Lives and Building a Healthier Bharat’, being organised by PD Hinduja Hospital at Lok Bhavan, Mumbai today.
Tomorrow. the President will grace the ‘National Arogya Fair 2026’, being organised by the Union Ministry of AYUSH at Shegaon, Buldhana. She will also grace the state-level launch of ‘Golden Era of Maharashtra through Unity and Trust’, organised by Brahma Kumaris in Nagpur tomorrow.
सरकार ने नई दिल्ली में आयोजित छठी केंद्रीय स्वीकृति एवं निगरानी समिति की बैठक में प्रधानमंत्री आवास योजना- शहरी के दूसरे चरण के तहत दो लाख 88 हजार से अधिक मकानों को मंजूरी दी है। आवासन एवं शहरी कार्य मंत्रालय ने बताया कि ये नए स्वीकृत मकान 16 राज्यों और केंद्र शासित प्रदेशों में अनुमोदित किए गए हैं, जिनमें आंध्र प्रदेश, अरुणाचल प्रदेश, छत्तीसगढ़, गुजरात और जम्मू-कश्मीर शामिल हैं। मंत्रालय ने आगे बताया कि इस योजना के अंतर्गत अब-तक स्वीकृत मकानों की कुल संख्या 13 लाख 61 हजार से अधिक हो गई है। मंत्रालय ने यह भी बताया कि ये स्वीकृतियां आर्थिक रूप से कमजोर वर्ग, निम्न आय वर्ग और मध्यम आय वर्ग के शहरी परिवारों के लिए सम्मानजनक और किफायती आवास उपलब्ध कराने की सरकार की निरंतर प्रतिबद्धता को दर्शाती हैं।
Union Textiles Minister Giriraj Singh said that government has aimed to achieve 10 billion dollars handloom exports by 2031. Addressing the 43rd foundation day of National Handloom Development Corporation (NHDC) in New Delhi yesterday, Mr Singh highlighted the pivotal role of the handloom sector in sustaining livelihoods and promoting indigenous production systems. He added that that country’s handloom sector is being transformed into global movement under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
श्रम और रोजगार मंत्रालय ने कर्मचारी भविष्य निधि संगठन – ईपीएफओ के निष्क्रिय खातों में एक हजार रुपये तक की राशि रखने वाले ग्राहकों को धनराशि वापस करने का निर्णय लिया है। मंत्रालय ने बताया कि यह राशि सीधे ग्राहकों के आधार से जुड़े बैंक खाते में अंतरित की जाएगी। मंत्रालय ने यह भी कहा कि लाभार्थियों को रिफंड प्रक्रिया शुरू करने के लिए कोई दावा दाखिल करने या दस्तावेज जमा करने की आवश्यकता नहीं होगी। लगातार तीन वर्षों तक कोई योगदान या लेनदेन न होने पर ईपीएफओ खाता निष्क्रिय हो जाता है। वर्तमान में एक हजार रुपये तक की राशि वाले छह लाख से अधिक निष्क्रिय खाते मौजूद हैं।

दिल्ली पुलिस ने पाकिस्तान के आतंकवादी संगठन लश्कर-ए-तैबा से जुड़े आतंकी मॉड्यूल का पर्दाफाश किया है, जिसका संचालन बांग्लादेश से किया जा रहा था। नई दिल्ली में अतिरिक्त पुलिस आयुक्त प्रमोद कुमार कुशवाहा ने बताया कि कोलकाता और तमिलनाडु में एक साथ चलाए गए अभियानों में आठ लोगों को गिरफ्तार किया गया है।
दिल्ली नगरपालिका परिषद-एनडीएमसी द्वारा राजधानी के चाणक्यपुरी क्षेत्र में ट्यूलिप उत्सव-2026 का उद्घाटन किया गया। इस अवसर पर नई दिल्ली नगरपालिका परिषद के अध्यक्ष केशव चंद्रा ने कहा कि वर्तमान में राजधानी के प्रमुख एनडीएमसी क्षेत्रों में लाल, सफेद, पीले, बैंगनी, गुलाबी, नारंगी और द्वि-रंगी ट्यूलिपों की आकर्षक छटा बिखरी हुई है। साथ ही ये पुष्प सज्जाएं बड़ी संख्या में आगंतुकों को आकर्षित कर रही हैं। ट्यूलिप उत्सव में नीदरलैंड की राजदूत महामहिम मारिसा गेरार्ड्स और परिषद सदस्यों सहित विभिन्न विभागों के अधिकारी और कर्मचारी मौजूद रहे।
Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M. K. Stalin has asked the Union Government to take diplomatic steps to stop the arrest of fishermen and secure the early release of those detained along with their boats. In a letter to External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar, he said that the Sri Lanka Navy arrested 12 fishermen and seized a mechanised boat from Rameswaram on 22nd February. The fishermen had left from Pamban fish landing centre in Ramanathapuram district. The Chief Minister said repeated arrests by Sri Lankan authorities are a serious concern. He added that 259 Tamil Nadu fishing boats and 116 fishermen, including those in this latest incident, are currently in custody.
India Post Chennai City Region held the “Regional Excellence Awards 2024-25” at Victoria Public Hall in Chennai yesterday. During the financial year 2024-25, divisions, officers, and staff were recognised for their strong performance in meeting targets across different areas. A total of 262 awards were given under 77 categories for their excellent work and contribution.

The Greater Bengaluru Authority (GBA), along with NIC and City Corporation GPS teams, has found property tax evasion in about 13,600 properties during the second round of Property GPS verification. Using GPS data, property usage details, and drone images, officials found differences in declared built-up areas and actual usage. Recovery notices worth about rupees 318 crore have been issued. In total, across two rounds, rupees 688 crore has been identified from 23,600 properties. The verification process includes GPS data collection, usage checks, backend validation, quality checks, and comparison with drone data. Teams are surveying nearly 10,000 properties every day to ensure tax compliance.

The Telangana Department of Women and Child Welfare has signed agreements with GMR Airport Authority, FICCI, and Azim Premji University to support orphaned youth and Anganwadi teachers.
From March 2026, orphaned youth living in state-run Shakti Sadans will receive technical training at the GMR Aero Academy in Shamshabad. The training will focus on airport operations, cargo, and ground handling to help them get jobs in private and international aviation companies. FICCI will provide industrial and soft skills training to orphaned girls studying in polytechnic colleges to improve their job opportunities.
Azim Premji University will train Anganwadi teachers in English and pre-school teaching methods to improve early education.
Women and Child Welfare Minister Seethakka said the government’s goal is not just to provide shelter but to ensure long-term rehabilitation. Through these partnerships, the state aims to help vulnerable youth become self-reliant and secure a better future.

आज पुण्यतिथि है भारतीय कामिक्स के पितामह अनंत पै की। जिन्होंने बच्चों और बडों दोनों के लिए मशहूर कॉमिक्स अमर चित्र कथा की शुरूआत की। 1967 में शुरू की गई इस कॉमिक्स श्रृंखला के जरिए परंपरागत भारतीय लोक कथाओं, पौराणिक कहानियों और ऐतिहासिक पात्रों की जीवनियों के बारे में बताया गया।

Lalita Pawar (18 April 1916 – 24 February 1998) was a prolific Indian actress, who later became famous as a character actress, appearing in over 700 films in Hindi, Marathi and Gujarati cinema, where she gave hits such as Netaji Palkar (1938), made by Bhalji Pendharkar, New Hana Pictures’ Sant Damaji, Navyug Chitrapat’s Amrit, written by VS Khandekar, and Chhaya Films’ Gora Kumbhar.
Her other memorable roles were in the films Anari (1959), Shri 420 and Mr & Mrs 55, and the role of Manthara, in Ramanand Sagar’s television epic serial Ramayan.

Steven Paul Jobs (February 24, 1955 – October 5, 2011) was an American business magnate, industrial designer, investor, and media proprietor. Jobs was diagnosed with a pancreatic neuroendocrine tumor in 2003.He died of respiratory arrest related to the tumor at age 56 on October 5, 2011.
