संसद के दोनों सदनों में आज भी केंद्रीय बजट 2026-27 पर चर्चा जारी रहेगी।
राज्यसभा में कल चर्चा में भाग लेते हुए शिवसेना सांसद मिलिंद देवड़ा ने कहा कि मौजूदा राजनीतिक और आर्थिक उथल-पुथल के दौर में भारत, व्यापक आर्थिक वृद्धि और स्थिरता का एक दुर्लभ उदाहरण बनकर उभरा है।
भाजपा के सुरेन्द्र सिंह नागर ने कहा कि बजट में आर्थिक वृद्धि दर बढ़ाने, लोगों की अपेक्षाओं को पूरा करने और सामाजिक क्षेत्र की सभी योजनाओं का लाभ आम जनता का पहुंचाने को प्राथमिकता दी गई है। तेलुगु देशम पार्टी के मस्तान राव बीधा ने कहा कि यह बजट व्यापक आर्थिक स्थिरता, बुनियादी ढांचे के विकास, तकनीकी परिवर्तन और सामाजिक समावेशन का समन्वित रूप है।
एनसीपी-एससीपी की फौजिया खान ने बच्चों से संबंधित व्यय में कमी पर चिंता व्यक्त की। डीएमके की कन्नीमोझी एनवीएन सोमू, कांग्रेस के नीरज डांगी और तृणमूल कांग्रेस के सुखेंदु शेखर राय ने भी बजट पर अपने विचार रखे।
लोकसभा में कांग्रेस सांसद शशि थरूर ने चर्चा की शुरुआत की। उन्होंने बजट की आलोचना करते हुए कहा कि सरकारी खर्च में कमी आई है और कर संग्रह स्थिर बनी हुई हैं। उन्होंने आरोप लगाया कि इस वर्ष के बजट में बेरोजगारी, बढ़ती जीवन-यापन लागत और असमानता जैसे मुद्दों की अनदेखी की गई है।
भाजपा की अपराजिता सारंगी ने कहा कि यह बजट, सरकार की प्रतिबद्धता, दृढ़ विश्वास और निरंतरता को दर्शाता है। उन्होंने कई देशों के साथ मुक्त व्यापार समझौतों पर हस्ताक्षर करने के लिए सरकार की सराहना की। भाजपा सदस्य ने कहा कि भारत ने बदलते वैश्विक परिदृश्य में समझदारी से आगे बढ़ने की अपनी क्षमताओं को दर्शाया है।
समाजवादी पार्टी के अखिलेश यादव, तृणमूल कांग्रेस के अभिषेक बनर्जी, शिवसेना- यूबीटी के अनिल देसाई, जनता दल यूनाइटेड के दिलेश्वर कामैत, भाजपा की डॉ. डी. पुरंदेश्वरी सहित अन्य दलों के सांसदों ने भी सदन में अपने विचार व्यक्त किये।

At the invitation of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, French President Emmanuel Macron will pay a three-day official visit to India, commencing on 17th of this month. President Macron will participate in the AI Impact Summit in New Delhi on 19th February. Ministry of External Affairs has said, during the visit, both leaders will hold discussions on strengthening bilateral cooperation across a wide spectrum of areas as enshrined in the Horizon 2047 Roadmap.
The leaders will discuss regional and global issues of mutual interest, including cooperation in the Indo-Pacific. The two leaders will also visit Mumbai to jointly inaugurate the India-France Year of Innovation, which will be celebrated throughout 2026 in both countries. Mr Macron’s visit follows Prime Minister Modi’s visit to France in February last year. It reflects the mutual trust and depth of the India-France Strategic Partnership and shared commitment of the two countries to deepen it further.

Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan met with Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu in New Delhi yesterday. Talking to media after the meeting Mr Chouhan said, Andhra Pradesh contributes nearly 10 per cent to India’s agriculture. He informed that the central government has constituted a team to strengthen the agricultural roadmap in the state through several schemes and initiatives. Mr Chouhan also noted that Andhra Pradesh is working rapidly to implement several schemes announced in the Union Budget 2026-27.
Speaking to the media, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu said that the state will emerge as a leader in the agriculture department. He said that Andhra Pradesh is strong in micro-irrigation and natural farming. Mr Naidu highlighted that at present, 20 lakh farmers are practicing natural farming, covering 20 lakh acres of land, and the state aims to expand this to 50 lakh farmers across 50 lakh acres of land in the coming years.

Chennai Metro’s phase 2 project of elevated corridors of 40 kms are expected to be completed by March next year. Once operational, the expanded network will improve connectivity, reduce road congestion and offer faster, smoother travel across Chennai. As viaduct construction wraps up, CMRL plans to remove barricades in phases. This means many major roads will soon regain full width making driving easier and safer while improving traffic flow in key corridors. With 28 km opening this year and more next year close to 90 percent of the elevated network will be functional. This will allow commuters to shift from crowded roads to metro.

The Apollo Cancer Centre and Apollo Proton Centre have launched Zero to Hero campaign to mark World Cancer Day (marked on 4th of Februrary) and raise awareness about early cancer detection at stage Zero. Stage Zero Cancer also called Carcinoma in situ describes abnormal cells confined to their origin site, such as milk ducts in the breast. Surgical oncologist and Senior Consultant Dr.S.Ayyappan said that the detection at this stage allows treatment before progression often via surgery.

दिल्ली सरकार ने पहली अप्रैल से दिल्ली लखपति बिटिया योजना लागू करने का निर्णय लिया है। मुख्यमंत्री रेखा गुप्ता ने कहा कि योजना के अंतर्गत दिल्ली के प्रत्येक घर से दो बेटियों को उनकी शिक्षा के लिए छप्पन हज़ार तक की राशि प्रदान कराई जाएगी। योजना को स्नातक शिक्षा तक लागू किया जायेगा और परिपक्वता होने पर कम से कम एक लाख रुपये दिए जायेंगे। आवेदन के लिए बेटी का टीकाकरण और मान्यता प्राप्त विद्यालय से अध्ययन अनिवार्य है। योजना के अंतर्गत राज्य सरकार एक सौ साठ करोड रुपये की राशि खर्च करेगी।

निर्वाचन आयोग ने अशोक कुमार को दिल्ली का नया मुख्य चुनाव अधिकारी नियुक्त किया है। वह आर एलिस वाज़ की जगह कार्यभार संभालेंगे। आयोग ने दिल्ली के मुख्य सचिव को लिखे पत्र में कहा कि श्री कुमार को अविलम्ब दिल्ली राष्ट्रीय राजधानी क्षेत्र के मुख्य निर्वाचन अधिकारी का पदभार ग्रहण करना होगा।
निर्वाचन आयोग ने जनवरी में दिल्ली सरकार से मुख्य निर्वाचन अधिकारी के चयन के लिए तीन आईएएस अधिकारियों की सूची सौंपने को कहा था।

This is a step to create public awareness about safe pet ownership and compassionate handling of animals. The Government has invited private charitable organisations, non governmental organisations or animal welfare organisations with prior experience in this field. The selected organisation will be allowed to develop and maintain the allotted space using its own funds by establishing necessary facilities for pets such as play equipment, green lawns,shops related to pet food and supplies, training equipment and handbooks containing rules and guidelines. The application form and guidelines can be downloaded from www.tnawb.tn.gov.in Completed forms should be sent before 26th of this month.

Karnataka is all set to introduce the Suicide policy which will contain interventions to help vulnerable students on campuses across the state. In the recently concluded Legislative Assembly, Social Welfare Minister Dr. H. C. Mahadevappa informed that the drafting of the policy is in the final stage. The Karnataka Suicide Prevention Policy will be rolled out to protect students at schools, colleges under the purview of various Departments like social welfare Minority welfare and Tribal and Backward classes welfare. The Policy focusses on intervention to boost student morale and offer regular couselling to prepare them for the situation. An official said that mental health is very important and highlighted homesickness as the main reason for students to take such a drastic step.

Preparations are complete for municipal elections across the state, with the State Election Commission scheduling voting today across 412 divisions in seven municipal corporations and 2,569 wards in 116 municipalities. Polling will take place from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with re-polling scheduled for the 12th if necessary. To ensure transparency, authorities have arranged for webcasting inside and outside all polling stations, while Section 163 of the BNSS will be enforced in the polling areas.
The counting of votes is set for the 13th, followed by indirect elections for mayors, deputy mayors, chairpersons, and vice-chairpersons on the 16th.

दीनदयाल उपाध्याय (पुण्यतिथि) :: आज भारतीय जनसंघ के नेता दीनदयाल उपाध्याय की पुण्यतिथि है। वे एक प्रखर विचारक, उत्कृष्ट संगठनकर्ता और एक ऐसे नेता थे, जिन्होंने जीवनपर्यंन्त अपनी व्यक्तिगत ईमानदारी और सत्यनिष्ठा को महत्त्व दिया। वे भारतीय जनता पार्टी के लिए वैचारिक मार्गदर्शन और नैतिक प्रेरणा के स्रोत रहे हैं। पंडित दीनदयाल उपाध्याय मज़हब और संप्रदाय के आधार पर भारतीय संस्कृति का विभाजन करने वालों को देश के विभाजन का ज़िम्मेदार मानते थे। दीनदयाल उपाध्याय की पुस्तक एकात्म मानववाद (इंटीगरल ह्यूमेनिज्म) है जिसमें साम्यवाद और पूंजीवाद, दोनों की समालोचना की गई है। एकात्म मानववाद में मानव जाति की मूलभूत आवश्यकताओं और सृजित क़ानूनों के अनुरुप राजनीतिक कार्रवाई हेतु एक वैकल्पिक सन्दर्भ दिया गया है।

पंडित नरेंद्र शर्मा (पुण्यतिथि) :: आज हिन्दी के प्रसिद्ध कवि, लेखक और सम्पादक पंडित नरेंद्र शर्मा की पुण्यतिथि है। उन्होंने इलाहाबाद विश्वविद्यालय से शिक्षाशास्त्र और अंग्रेज़ी में एम.ए. किया। 1934 में प्रयाग में अभ्युदय पत्रिका का संपादन किया। अखिल भारतीय कांग्रेस कमेटी स्वराज्य भवन में हिंदी अधिकारी रहे और फिर बॉम्बे टाकीज़ बम्बई में गीत लिखे। उन्होंने फ़िल्मों में गीत लिखे, आकाशवाणी से भी संबंधित रहे और स्वतंत्र लेखन भी किया। उनके 17 कविता संग्रह, एक कहानी संग्रह, एक जीवनी और अनेक रचनाएँ पत्र पत्रिकाओं में प्रकाशित हुई हैं। इन्होंने लगभग 55 फ़िल्मों में 650 गीत एवं ‘महाभारत’ का पटकथा-लेखन और गीत-रचना की।
