लोक सेवा के क्षेत्र में इस बार कई बड़े चेहरों को पद्म भूषण मिला है। उत्तराखंड के पूर्व मुख्यमंत्री और महाराष्ट्र के पूर्व राज्यपाल भगत सिंह कोश्यारी को उनके लंबे राजनीतिक सफर के लिए सम्मानित किया गया है। साथ ही झारखंड के दिग्गज नेता शिबू सोरेन को मरणोपरांत और वरिष्ठ नेता विजय कुमार मल्होत्रा को भी मरणोपरांत यह सम्मान मिला है।
