The budget session of the 14th Nagaland Legislative Assembly (NLA) commenced today with the address of the Governor, La. Ganesan. In his address, the Governor said the government has been working to fulfil its commitment to the people. Highlighting the initiatives and steps taken by the state government, the Governor said it has taken steps to ensure the peaceful resolution of the Naga Political issue. Earlier, the house observed a minute’s silence as a mark of respect to the departed leaders, former Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh and five former members of the Nagaland Legislative Assembly. The session will conclude on March 8.
