Budget session of Madhya Pradesh begins today; Governor Mangubhai Patel to address

The budget session of Madhya Pradesh begins today. The session will open with the Governor Mangubhai Patel’s address and will continue till March 6. On February 18, Deputy Chief Minister Jagdish Devda will present the state’s first digital budget. The budget is expected to focus especially on Simhastha 2028 and farmer welfare.

Meanwhile, the opposition has submitted eight adjournment motions to corner the government over issues such as the Indore water crisis and rising debt, indicating that the session is likely to be stormy. Assembly Speaker Narendra Singh Tomar, while reviewing the preparations yesterday, said that the House has received more than 3,500 questions so far.
