The Budget Session of the Gujarat Legislative Assembly will begin today in Gandhinagar with a formal address by Governor Acharya Devvrat to the House. Finance Minister Kanubhai Desai will present the State Budget for 2026-27 on 18th February. During the session, which will continue till March 25th, the House will elect a new Deputy Speaker. Several important bills, including an amendment to the state’s anti-terrorism la,w will be introduced in the session.
