Science and Technology Minister Dr Jitendra Singh today said that the Union Budget 2026-27 provides a new momentum to India’s startup and entrepreneurship, with a focus on incubation, innovation, and women-led economic participation.
He said this while addressing the Annual Atal Innovation Incubator Conclave ‘AIM SUMVAAD’, in New Delhi. Dr Singh said that India’s startup journey has expanded rapidly from a few hundred startups to over two lakh startups today.
The Minister further said that India is already among the global leaders in biomanufacturing. He noted that the Biomanufacturing Shakti Mission aligns closely with the country’s strengths in biotechnology, biopharmaceuticals, natural resources, and human capital. The conclave is the flagship annual platform of the Atal Innovation Mission, bringing together over 150 Atal Incubation Centres and Atal Community Innovation Centres from across the country.
