Union Minister for Culture and Tourism, Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, is in Shimla and addressed a press conference and interaction programme on the Union Budget 2026-2027 and said that the present budget reflects continuity, stability, and sustainable development. The Union Minister stated that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, continuous efforts have been made over the past 11 years towards the goal of a developed India.
He said that after COVID, when global economies are still trying to recover, India, under efficient leadership, has reached the fourth position in the world economy. He further said that the states’ share in tax revenue has been increased from 31% to 41 %, and that Himachal Pradesh has received 6,900 crore rupees under the PMGSY scheme.
