BSF Troops Celebrate Raksha Bandhan Away from Home, Guarding Borders

As the festival of Raksha Bandhan is being celebrated across India and abroad, the sentinels of our borders, troops of Border Security Force (BSF) are also celebrating the same away from their homes.

Women and girls are tieing the sacred Rakhis to the brave soldiers of the BSF at various places of Punjab border including at the internationally fame Attari-Wagah Joint Check Post in Amritsar.

Our Jalandhar Correspondent reports that former Health Minister, Punjab, Prof. Laxmi Kanta Chawla, is celebrating the festival with the troops at the border for the last over 50 years. Today also she reached with other women and girls to tie the sacred Rakhi with gratitude. These moments remind that Raksha Bandhan is not just about sibling bonds, but about honouring the protectors of our peace.

Troops of CRPF also celebrated the festival at Chandigarh. The emotional moments were more like a silent promise to the soldiers that you protect the nation, and we will always stand by you.

Yesterday, hundreds of Rakhis are being sent to the Prime Minister, Narednra Modi from Amritsar as a gratitude for ‘Operation Sindoor’.
