A day after members of the Indian Youth Congress staged a controversial protest at the India AI Impact Summit, the Bharatiya Janata Party and its affiliates launched coordinated demonstrations across multiple cities today. BJP leaders and workers have condemned the act as shameful and demanded an apology from Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and the party’s leadership.

In Jammu, BJP Yuva Morcha members gathered at Kachi Chawni Chowk and demanded an apology from Rahul Gandhi for allegedly hurting the honour and dignity of people. Similar demonstrations were held in Surat, where party workers gathered to condemn the Congress over the disruption.

In Mumbai, BJP workers showed black flags to Rahul Gandhi, calling it a response to the Youth Congress’ actions at the summit. A group of BJP supporters assembled at the Mulund toll naka, raising slogans against him. Protesters accused him of opposing Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s initiatives and tarnishing country’s image.
