The BJP has criticised the AAP-led Punjab government in connection with its raid on a national daily. The raid was allegedly conducted following the news report published by the national daily regarding constuction of a luxurious bungalow for AAP convenor Arvind Kejriwal in the State.

Addressing the media in New Delhi, BJP Spokesperson Sardar R P Singh said that recently, when a newspaper carried reports about a Sheesh Mahal being built in Punjab, raids were conducted on vehicles carrying newspapers to check whether any report had been published related to this. He alleged that pressure is being deliberately created on the media by such action, as the Assembly election is due in Punjab next year.
