BJP has released first list of 71 candidates for upcoming assembly election of Bihar. Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary will contest from Tarapur and Deputy CM Vijay Sinha from Lakhisarai seat. Bihar Health Minister Mangal Pandey has been fielded from Siwan assembly constituency.
State Minister Nitin Nabin from Bankipur and Renu Devi will contest from Bettiah. Trivikram Singh will try his fate from Aurangabad seat, while Shreyasi Singh will contest from Jamuai assembly seat and former Union Minister Ramkripal Yadav has been given ticket from Danapur seat.
The names of the candidates were finalized by the BJP Central Election committee. Hindustani Awam Morcha (Secular) also released a list of 6 candidates for the state assembly polls. In a related development, folk and devotional singer Maithili Thakur on Tuesday joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Patna in the presence of Bihar BJP President Dilip Jaiswal.
Grand Alliance constituent CPI(ML)L released a list of 18 candidates for the upcoming assembly elections.
