BJP Rajya Sabha MP Samik Bhattacharya claims West Bengal administration failed to implement several centre-sponsored schemes

BJP Rajya Sabha MP Samik Bhattacharya claimed that the West Bengal administration of Mamata Banerjee has failed to implement several centre-sponsored schemes, causing significant losses for the state’s citizens. Speaking during zero hours in the House, Mr. Samik claimed that the state’s tribal and minority communities are suffering because they are not getting benefits from the centre. Mr Samik also listed several schemes in the house which are not implemented in the state and alleged that West Bengal is the only state in the country which has not implemented Ayushman Bharat Pardhan Manti Jan Arogya Yojana.

He said farmers are facing a great loss in the state for not implementing various central schemes, including Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana (PMFBY). Mr Samik alleged that the 43 railway projects have also been stalled in the state, because the West Bengal government failed to provide land for the projects. He alleged the democratic values have also been eroded in the state for the sake of political benefits.
