BJP President Nitin Nabin will chair an organisational meeting today at Salt Lake in Kolkata. Earlier, in a meeting yesterday, he stressed the need to make the election campaign in West Bengal more compact and ordered the creation of a political chakravyuh for election-related campaigns. He also discussed election strategies in detail with party leaders in West Bengal. According to party sources, the BJP will leave no stone unturned to win the General Election to the West Bengal Assembly. Nitin Nabin came to the city yesterday on a two-day visit.
On the other hand, Trinamool Congress chief Mamata Banerjee will address three public rallies today in support of party candidates for the Maynaguri, Dabgram-Phulbari, and Matigara-Naxalbari assembly constituencies in North Bengal.
