BJP President and Union Minister Jagat Prakash Nadda today called the recently announced Goods and Services Tax (GST) reforms as a bumper gift for citizens prior to the festive season. In his message, Mr Nadda said that the GST Council has announced reforms in the tax structure in a span of twenty days.

Highlighting the announcements of the Council, the Minister said that the tax slabs of 12 percent and 28 percent have been eliminated and now only 5 percent and 18 percent exist in the new GST regime. Thanking Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, he said that the reforms will transform the lives of ordinary people, small businesses and merchants.
