The BJP launched its municipal election manifesto, “Viksit Telangana BJP Sankalp Patra-2026,” in Hyderabad on Friday, promising transparent and development-oriented urban governance.
State party leadership expressed confidence in securing victory while vowing strict action against administrative corruption.
A primary focus of the manifesto includes ensuring Finance Commission funds are utilised exclusively for local development, preventing the diversions allegedly practised by previous administrations.
Key promises include a freeze on property tax hikes and a single-window system to approve house construction permits within seven days.
The party also plans to establish Skill Development Centers and regular job fairs in every municipality.
To improve urban living, the BJP aims to upgrade community clinics, implement universal underground drainage, and petition the central government to include more areas in the Smart Cities mission.
The state chief criticised the incumbent Congress government and BRS for alleged financial mismanagement and the harassment of BJP workers through police intimidation.
He further accused Chief Minister Revanth Reddy of divisive politics and neglecting the protection of religious sites.
The manifesto emphasises reclaiming encroached temple lands and establishing cow shelters.
Senior leaders, including Ashok Parnami and Rekha Sharma, attended the briefing to urge voter support for a “model municipality” framework.
