BJP today hit out at the Congress over the issue of the alleged liquor scam in Karnataka. Addressing a press conference in New Delhi, BJP Spokesperson Sudhanshu Trivedi said that this allegation has not been levelled by the BJP or opposition parties, but by the Wine Merchant Association from the State. Mr Trivedi also referred to the alleged irregularities in the allocation of housing sites by the Mysuru Urban Development Authority, MUDA. He alleged that wherever the Congress is in power, it is involved in corruption, and it is not focusing on public welfare works.
The BJP spokesperson also hit out at the TMC-led government in West Bengal following the Calcutta High Court’s directive to it for completing the process of land allocation for border fencing work by the 31st of March 2026. Mr Trivedi alleged that national security was compromised in the state in the garb of votes of infiltrators under the TMC rule.
