The BJP today accused the TMC-led West Bengal government of disappointing the people with its alleged mismanagement during Argentina footballer Lionel Messi’s event in Kolkata. Addressing a press conference in New Delhi, BJP MP and Spokesperson, Dr Sudhanshu Trivedi, labelled it as a shameful moment for the entire country. He alleged that similar incidents have happened in non-NDA-run states like Karnataka and Tamil Nadu, which reflects a fragile law and order situation, where those in power believe they are above the law. He blamed the authority for turning public events into instruments for personal ego satisfaction.

During the occasion, Mr Trivedi also expressed happiness with the NDA’s victory in Thiruvananthapuram in the municipal corporation elections. He added that this result is a paradigm-shifting change for Kerala’s politics and a very far-sighted signal for India’s politics.
