Several BJP MPs and the coalition members have hailed the General Union Budget, saying that it has many pro-poor proposals and benefits for the middle class. Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan said that this budget is to make India a self-sufficient country and has prioritised agriculture since it forms the backbone of the economy of the country.
Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia said that the budget aligns with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision and mission of Viksit Bharat. He said it is a composite budget that aims to make India self-reliant.
JD (U) MP Sanjay Kumar Jha hailed the Union Budget, saying a big announcement has been made to provide income tax relief to the middle class. He also appreciated the Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman for making provisions for Bihar in the fields of aviation and education, among others, as it will improve the position of the state where it is lagging.
