BJP today called Congress a sinking ship, and said that the statement of their leaders, like former Cuttack MLA Mohammed Moquim, proves it. Referring to a letter written by the Congress leader in a press conference in New Delhi, BJP Spokesperson Prem Shukla said that many Congress leaders have repeatedly raised concerns about the party’s failing leadership. Hailing Home Minister Amit Shah for his statement in Parliament over the issue of election reforms and SIR, Mr Shukla asserted that the Opposition staged a walkout instead of facing the truth.
Hitting out at the TMC Government in West Bengal, the Spokesperson said, TMC worker and key accused Sheikh Shahjahan attempted to eliminate a key witness in the Sandeshkhali case, Bholanath Ghosh. He said, while travelling to court, a truck rammed Ghosh’s car, killing his younger son and the driver. Mr Shukla said, This incident reflects the grim reality in West Bengal, where no one is safe under Mamata Banerjee’s rule and crime continues to rise.
