BJP today hit out at the Trinamool Congress Party (TMC), accusing it of undermining the democratic system of the country. Addressing the media in New Delhi, BJP spokesperson Tuhin Sinha accused TMC Chief and West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee of her alleged interference during the Enforcement Directorate’s raid at the office of political consultancy firm I-PAC in connection with a money laundering case.
Mr Sinha said, following the raid, several alarming incidents have come to light in the state, which raise questions on the TMC’s intentions. He also reacted to TMC charges that a booth-level officer committed suicide due to work pressure, saying that the fact is contrary to it.
