BJP today hit out at senior Congress leader and Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, for allegedly defaming India abroad. Addressing a press conference in New Delhi, BJP spokesperson Shahzad Poonawala alleged that Mr Gandhi, in recent years, repeatedly made remarks overseas that undermine the country’s image.

 

Mr Poonawala further alleged that Mr Gandhi often speaks without a factual basis or logical reasoning. Responding to Mr Gandhi’s alleged remarks about the decline of manufacturing in India, the BJP spokesperson highlighted the government’s performance in the sector.

 

He noted that India has recorded six fold growth in electronics manufacturing. He added that the export of electronic goods has increased eight times in recent years.
