BJP today claimed that Congress sidelined the contributions of several prominent leaders, including Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel to protect the legacy of former Prime Minister Pandit Jawahar Lal Nehru.

Addressing Media in the New Delhi, Party Spokesperson Sambit Patra responded to Congress leader Sonia Gandhi’s allegation that the BJP is attempting to erase Pandit Nehru’s legacy. Replying over the allegations made by Sonia Gandhi that the BJP is trying to rewrite the history, he said that it is not rewriting but trying to rectify the history. He added that these actions are giving due to the people who contributed towards independence and to the various facets of the country.
