Bihar Election Campaigning Gains Momentum Ahead of First Phase of Polling

Election campaigning for the Bihar Assembly Election is gaining momentum. As the first phase of polling is scheduled to be held on the 6th of next month, NDA and Mahagathbandhan constituent parties are making every possible effort to woo the voters.

Ahead of the release of Mahagatbandhan’s manifesto for the assembly elections, RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav said, Mahagatbandhan is going to release the manifesto today, highlighting the vision of his bloc. He raised questions over the NDA’s vision, agenda, and the Chief Ministerial candidate’s name.

On the other hand, LJP (Ramvilas) Chief and Union Minister Chirag Paswan said that the NDA believes that when it comes to power, everyone should be represented based on their capabilities. He accused RJD of working for only one family. He said, the mantra of his government is crystal clear, Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, and Sabka Prayas.

JD(U) spokesperson Rajeev Ranjan accused Mahagatbandhan of making false promises. He said, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s work and governance speak louder than words.

JP leader and Panchayati Raj Minister in Bihar, Kedar Prasad Gupta, said, a lot of work has been done for the people of Bihar under the NDA government.

Senior BJP leader and Union Home Minister will address multiple election rallies tomorrow in Darbhanga, Samastipur, and Begusarai.

Likewise, senior BJP leader and Defence Minister Rajnath Singh will address public meetings in Darbhanga, Patna, and Saran districts.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav, and Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta will also address election rallies tomorrow in support of NDA candidates.

Meanwhile, RJD leader Tejashwi Prasad Yadav will address election meetings today in support of Grand Alliance candidates at Manjhi, Taraiya, Marhoura, Amanour, and Garkha in Saran district.

On the other hand, the RJD has taken strict action against those contesting against the official candidates of the Grand Alliance during the Assembly elections. The party has expelled two MLAs – Chhotelal Rai and Mohammad Kamran. Former MLAs Anil Sahni, Saroj Yadav, Anil Yadav, and Ritu Jaiswal, the state president of the RJD Mahila Morcha, have also been expelled.

In total, the RJD has taken disciplinary action against 27 party officials. The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has also expelled Kahalgaon MLA Pawan Yadav from the party in Bhagalpur district. After being denied a ticket, Pawan Yadav is contesting the Assembly election as an independent candidate.
