The bandh has been called by the NDA in protest against derogatory remarks made from the stage of Congress and Rashtriya Janata Dal in Darbhanga targeting Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his mother.

 

 

Leaders of NDA constituent parties, including the BJP and Janata Dal (United), have been on the streets since morning holding sit-ins and demonstrations at various places. The bandh’s impact is being observed across all districts, including Patna, Begusarai, Munger, Bhagalpur, Sheohar, and Bhojpur.

 

 

During this period, BJP and its allies’ MLAs, MPs, district presidents, and senior leaders have taken to the streets enforcing the bandh and raising slogans against the Congress and the Rashtriya Janata Dal. Women’s wings of various NDA parties have also staged sit-ins and protests at several locations. In some places, bandh supporters have blocked vehicular movement, leading to reduced activity on the roads. Shops and markets in major urban centres and other areas of the state remain shut.
