The electioneering for the second and final phase of the Bihar Assembly polls is at a high pitch. Various leaders of political parties are trying their best to woo the voters. Senior BJP leader and Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed an election rally in Sitamarhi. The Prime Minister said that the NDA not only focuses on development but also preserves the state’s heritage. He said that the NDA government, under the leadership of Nitish Kumar, has rebuilt the faith of the people of Bihar, and now investors are eager to come to the state.

Addressing another public meeting in Bettiah, the Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that, during the ongoing election campaign, extensive discussions have been held about Bihar’s aspirations and goals. He said that the NDA’s double-engine government has highlighted both its achievements and its vision for the future. Mr. Modi said that the alliance has presented its record of work and outlined the roadmap ahead before the people of Bihar.

Another Senior BJP leader and Home Minister Amit Shah addressed a public meeting in Purnia. He said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, Bihar is set to move forward and become a developed state. Addressing a public meeting in Motihari, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that in the last 20 years, under the leadership of NDA and Nitish Kumar, the foundation of good governance in Bihar has been strengthened.

Janata Dal (United) President and Chief Minister Nitish Kumar addressed public meetings in Rafiganj in Aurangabad and Imamganj in Gaya. Speaking in Rafiganj, he said that after assuming power in 2005, his government made remarkable improvements in the education and health sectors. The Chief Minister pointed out that earlier, only 39 people used to visit government health centres in a year, but now a large number of people are availing medical services.

On the other hand, Senior Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi addressed an election rally in Kadwa, Katihar district. Mahagathbandhan’s Chief Ministerial candidate Tejashwi Yadav, while addressing an election rally in Jamui, said that he is committed to solving the problem of unemployment. He assured that if the Mahagathbandhan comes to power, all promises made to the people will be fulfilled.

Vikassheel Insan Party (VIP) Chief and Mahagathbandhan’s Deputy Chief Minister candidate, Mukesh Sahani, said that the youth of the state want change. Jan Suraaj founder Prashant Kishor criticised the NDA, asserting that Bihar lacks factories and jobs. He said that voters are demanding employment opportunities and industrial development in the state.

Addressing his last public meeting of the election campaign for the Bihar Assembly polls in Bettiah, senior BJP leader and Prime Minister Narendra Modi asserted that the NDA is going to win the Bihar Assembly elections with a huge majority this time. Mr Modi said that this victory will be a major triumph for development.

In Purnea, addressing an election rally in support of NDA candidates, senior BJP leader and Union Home Minister Amit Shah said that the RJD and Congress are trying to mislead people under different pretexts by disguising their real intentions. He said this attempt will not succeed because the people of Bihar do not want to return to the era of darkness and crime.

Senior Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi said in Katihar that the Mahagathbandhan and Congress are committed to providing equal representation to all sections of society. Mrs Gandhi emphasised that it is essential to form a Mahagathbandhan government to ensure that the backward classes, minorities, and Dalits are included in the mainstream of development. She also said that Congress supports a caste-based census on this very principle.
