In West Bengal, the Poriborton Yatra bike rally of Bharatiya Janata Party was stopped at Sodepur, North 24 Parganas, which was followed by protests by the party workers and supporters. The situation is tense in Bengal. The bike rally started from the Amaravati ground of Sodpur.

Later, the police, led by a Deputy Commissioner of the Barrackpore Police Commissionerate, stopped it in Ghola area. Supporters of BJP staged a sit-in on the Sodpur-Madhyamgram road.
