The BCCI has unveiled the full list of players finalised for the IPL 2026 auction. 240 Indians and 110 overseas players will go under the hammer during the bidding event scheduled to be held in Abu Dhabi on the 16th of this month.
A total of 1390 players registered for the Player Auction, out of which 350 players were shortlisted. A large number of uncapped players, 224 Indian and 14 overseas, have been included in the pool, bringing fresh talent and depth to this year’s auction.
Intense bidding is expected for 77 available slots this year, including 31 for overseas players. So far, 173 players have been retained across teams. The highest base price category remains at 2 crore rupees, and 40 players have opted to enter the auction under this premium bracket.
Franchises will have a combined purse of over 237 crore rupees to spend at the auction, with Kolkata Knight Riders having the biggest purse of 64.30 crore rupees, followed by Chennai with 43.40 crore rupees.
Several big international names like Cameron Green, Jamie Smith, Rachin Ravindra and David Miller are expected to spark intense bidding.
