Bangladesh: Indian community celebrate 77th Republic Day at High Commission in Dhaka

 
The 77th Republic Day of India was celebrated in Dhaka, Bangladesh with enthusiasm and patriotic fervour today at the High Commission of India. Members of the Indian community took part in large numbers in the celebrations at the Chancery building.
Indian High Commissioner to Bangladesh Pranay Verma unfurled the national flag. He read excerpts from the President’s address to the nation delivered on the eve of the Republic Day. 
The High Commissioner welcomed the Indian community and greeted them on the occasion. It was followed by patriotic songs performed by the members of the Indian community in Dhaka.
The Assistant High Commissions (AHC) of India in Sylhet, Khulna, Chattogram and Rajshahi also celebrated the Republic day.
Earlier on Saturday, the High Commission of India in Bangladesh held a grand reception at the Radisson Blu Water Garden Hotel,Dhaka to mark the celebration of 77th Republic day of India. The Power, Energy and Mineral Resources Adviser of the Interim Government of Bangladesh, Muhammad Fouzul Kabir Khan, attended the event as the chief guest.
The reception witnessed enthusiastic participation from the Diplomatic Community, Political parties, Civil society, Academia, the Indian diaspora, Business circles, officers from the government departments and armed forces, and media representatives. The gathering provided a platform for fostering diplomatic ties, celebrating the significant milestone of India’s 77th Republic Day, and strengthening bonds between nations.
