Bangladesh Air force plane crash: : 19 dead, more than 100 injured

     In Bangladesh, at least 19 people have died, including the pilot of the aircraft, and more than 100 injured as a Bangladesh Air Force training jet crashes into Milestone College campus. Local media reported it quoting a National Burn Institute official Prof Md Saidur Rahman.

        Our correspondent in Dhaka reported that a Bangladesh Air Force F7 aircraft crashed into a building of the College at around 1:30 pm. Bangladesh Army and fire service has began rescue operations.

        An emergency hotline has been launched at the National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery, Dhaka following the aircraft crash. The hotline number is 01949-043697. The Bangladesh government has declared a one-day state mourning following the incident.

        Prime Minister Narendra Modi has expressed sadness at the loss of lives in a tragic air crash in Dhaka. In a social media post, Mr Modi gave his condolences to the bereaved families. He prayed for the swift recovery of those injured. The Prime Minister added that India stands in solidarity with Bangladesh and is ready to extend all possible support and assistance
