The Balochistan Bar Council has strongly condemned the arrest of women protesters in Manjhoo Shori, describing it as a violation of Pakistan’s Constitution, laws, and international human rights standards. Chairman Rahib Buledi emphasized that the women were peacefully exercising their right to protest, and such mistreatment undermines public trust in state institutions and the justice system. The Council demanded the immediate release of the detained women and called for a transparent and impartial inquiry into the conduct of the police officials involved. Reaffirming its commitment to defending human rights, women’s dignity, and democratic freedoms, the Bar Council warned that continued repression could compel stronger actions within the constitutional framework to protect civil liberties in Balochistan.
