Minister of State for Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying Dr SP Singh Baghel has said that the Dairy sector is the core pillar of the country, and its prosperity comes from villages and farmers. He made this remark while speaking at the National Milk Day 2025 celebration in New Delhi. Dr Baghel underlined that country produces milk in large quantities, more than any nation in the world. The Minister also highlighted the commendable works done by the father of the white revolution, Verghese Kurian, saying that the White Revolution freed farmers from middlemen and gave dignity to their work.
