In Assam, re-polling at Polling Station No. 239, Babyland High English School, under North Karimganj Assembly Constituency in Sribhumi District, was conducted peacefully today as per Election Commission directives. A voter turnout of 61.67 per cent was recorded till 5 PM.

Enthusiastic participation was seen, with voters queuing up since morning. Polling was held under the supervision of District Commissioner Pradeep Kumar Dwivedi, and senior police officials monitored the process throughout the day.

The polling concluded smoothly under tight security arrangements. The general elections to the Assam Legislative Assembly were conducted in a single phase on April 9 across all 126 Assembly constituencies
