The Assam Police and the NIA arrested 15 persons in the state for allegedly planting IED like materials on 15th of August this year.

In a statement issued in Guwahati today, Assam Police told that the operation, held in collaboration with the National Investigation Agency last night, led to the arrest of 15 persons, including three women at different places in Assam. It is learnt that they revealed incriminating information regarding the incident.

Akashvani Correspondent reports that  among those arrested, six were from  Dibrugarh and Lakhimpur districts. On the other hand, four each were apprehended from Jorhat and Guwahati.
