In Assam, on the occasion of National Handloom Day, North Eastern Handicrafts and Handloom Development Corporation Ltd, a Govt. of India Enterprise, organised a special event today at the Craft Promotion & Experience Center in Guwahati. Speaking on the occasion, Minister of Industries & Commerce, Government of Assam, Bimal Borah said that handloom products are our identity, self resilience and national pride. He said, this National Handloom Day is being observed to preserve our rich heritage, and to support the artisans for a dignified life.
