The Assam Government has placed five LPG distributors in the state under suspension due to irregularities in distribution practices and non-compliance with prescribed norms.
The state government has been closely monitoring LPG supplies in view of the prevailing situation in West Asia. During this monitoring process, the five distributors were found violating established guidelines. Meanwhile, the state government has assured that adequate LPG stocks are available and that domestic consumers will continue to receive a 100 per cent allocation.
