In Assam, the commissioning of Electronic Voting Machines with candidate sets for the upcoming Assembly elections has been successfully completed across all 126 constituencies.
A total of 41,320 Ballot Units, 43,975 Control Units, and 43,997 VVPATs, including reserve machines, have been prepared for use at 31,490 polling stations across the state.
The exercise was carried out from 31st of March to 4th of this month, at designated locations notified by the respective District Election Officers, ensuring that all polling equipment is ready for the forthcoming polls.
