In Assam, 77.9 per cent polling was recorded in the Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR) elections comprising five districts- Kokrajhar, Baksa, Chirang, Udalguri and Tamulpur, to elect a 40-member council. The polls were held at 3,359 polling stations. There are 316 candidates in the fray. The counting of votes will be held on Friday.
