Major Asian indices displayed mixed trends today. Singapore’s Straits Times index gained over 1.4 percent, and Japan’s Nikkei advanced 0.15 percent, while South Korea’s Kospi declined over 0.7 percent. Meanwhile, markets in Hong Kong and China were closed for the Lunar New Year holiday. Major European indices were trading in positive territory. France’s CAC was trading over 0.4 percent up, and London’s FTSE, as well as Germany’s DAX, gained over 0.2 percent, when reports last came in.
